Rail networks, especially within countries and amongst regional nations within the African continent, make a great deal of sense. They can encourage greater economic development in an environmentally-sensitive manner and allow greater movement of both people and goods. Their construction will certainly benefit businesses and the populace. Economic growth and integration in areas such as East Africa would be spurred by rail connections. The line from Tanzania to Burundi to Rwanda is a good example of this sort of rail. It would be great to see all the countries of East Africa: Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Burundi and Rwanda; linked in an extensive high-speed rail system.

The World Bank should step in to make sure the Nigerians build all lines in SGR because most of the rail lines they are going to build are going to be NGR lines and while they may have the money to easily upgrade them to SGR in the future because of the size of their population and economy, what Nigeria does effects the whole region and by building NGR it will be wise for their neighbours to build narrow gauge and they do not have the populations nor the economies to so quickly upgrade lines to SGR when Nigeria does so!!! African Railway Built by China, Turkey.... It's not even bullet train!
Why don't African countries come together & do some research, setup factories & industry, manufacture Trains & Tracks and build "Real African Railway".
Afterall it's not like Africa needs 500/1000 km railways. Africa needs 1,00,000 km railway & setting up Local industries will save their Drain of Wealth from Africa to Ch!na.
Africans would get employment, Africans themselves can build it in 1/4 or 1/3 that of Ch!na. Making railways is not as costly as you are spending now.

Will take years to do some research and set up factories and without technological transfer from China or other countries might even take decades. Also, without Chinese patented machineries and loan to build bridges and tunnels will take a lot more time to finish the project with higher cost. It's not all about Labor cost. Africa needs infrastructure now. But I do hope Africa to invest in railways manufacturing so that in future they can advance.

I am not happy that you divided the country of Morocco into 2. Morocco’s borders to the south are with Mauritania. So this video is getting a dislike from me.
