  • In this video I show my client how to fix his club path; he is utterly shocked how easy it was to change after years of trying to make the club path inside out of his target, to improve distance, hit straighter golf shots and reduce his handicap.
    To change your club path it is very important to understand the ingredients that are most important to concentrate on. Club Path is so important to lowering your golf scores and reducing your handicap

    Most of us will need to view your video more than once to understand why our golf ball moves as it does. However, you have taken a vey complex topic and made it understandable. You also included a simple way to go to the range, hit some balls and learn what our swing traits are and how to adjust them to become a better golfer. The topic is not easy, but it sure is good. Thanks for sharing your video with us.

    This is brilliant, key thing he says..practice and play with the strong grip and LEARN to slowly stop closing the club face to square it up and your body will automatically move itself in a better way to produce better shots.

    WOW….I’ve had a lot of lessons over the years to fix my path….-3 to -10….got told it’s my inside takeaway or not bumping my hips to target….no one changed my grip 🤬…wasted a lot of money with no improvement….you Sir are a miracle worker…please keep educating us 🙏🏻

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Mark - inside path is “helping you” on the way back, and “not” bumping your hips across will make the ball have a chance of starting left so you don’t hit it too far right. Stay well away from both of these changes before you impact the face to path relationship. Thank you for the wonderful feedback and sharing your experiences, it’s always lovely to receive. Best wishes Stuart. 😊

    Brilliant. Thank you Stuart. Your grip change recommendation has certainly changed my ball striking. The right side of the course is no longer in play for me (I am right handed), which is a great feeling and the way I played when I was younger, before my hiatus of 40 years. Thanks again.

    Enjoyed seeing your presentation to a client. Your explanation is simpler than your usual videos. I'm going to do some more work with my grip. I've already benefited a lot from swinging my hands around to the left at the finish. It's helped me calm down my over draw from swinging from inside to out rather than around.

    Very interesting video Stuart. I’ve been having lessons recently to try and cut out a overly fading/slicing ball and I’ve got a bit bogged down with too many tweaks being suggested.
    Just been down the range and strengthened my grip and the immediate difference was quite noticeable, without thinking too much about anything else.

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      James - it’s how it should be. To affect the bend is simple, fix the grip and let the healing begin. Golf change should be pleasurable in as far as the ball should do something different “almost” instantaneously. Stick to the grip, if you find it makes it the ball bend too far left, simply aim right and enjoy. Thanks for sharing your experience and being a part of my channel Sir. Best wishes Stu 😊

    Don't know if it's the angle but looks like a lot of yanking the club inside on the takeaway. Fanning. OTT has to happen from that and then there's the left bias setup to try and compensate. Flatish shoulder turn also because of fanning.

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All of the issues you refer to are all symptoms and should “always” I’m my opinion, secondary to the poor fundamentals of the grip. “Fanning” - grip orientation, his setup was right bias not left, flat shoulder pitch comes from excessive arm rotation (fanning) because of grip… so you can see, all the issues you point out are symptomatic of the component I changed initially. All relevant observations Roger but how to be adjusted, that’s the skill. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, very much appreciated. 😊

      @@GoodGolfCoaching yes - I have a number of similarities to the gentlemen you gave a lesson to. I am a drummer, played a lot of tennis. I think my basic foundation is good but tend to "riff" and improvise too much and can see where I am compounding problems with the driver. And I switched to more of an "underhand throw on the downswing A La Mike Austin and Mike Dunaway, found that the ball goes straight with most clubs by keeping the club face square to the arch, inside path but then chicken winged on the follow through finishing up and around. Your direction on how the wrist, forearm rotates and hip move will help me finish the rotation . Start with a stronger grip and let the ripple effect help square the rest over time!😁

    His takeaway is still really inside tho. I have the exact same problem of coming over the top of my backswing. I can hit in to out but only with a inside takeaway. Had a lesson a few weeks ago and the ding the guy said your taking the club inside. Sorted that but it made everything 10 fold worse.

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
