Sunday (Brock wasn’t playing) was the first time the offense put under 17 points since Brock started playing. Brock is good. Totally wrong. This is professional sports and if you are ready you go. Your teammates have expectations of you so to sit a guy out for no reason sets the wrong standard. These guys are pros so everyone is super competitive by their nature. And Brock is playing for a game check and a pay day. As a team, you start your best players if they are ready to go, it’s that simple.
Patience is key. A lot of franchises keep rushing to conclusions and reset their cycles over and over (Raiders, Bears, Panthers, etc.). Purdy played well enough for his part to get the Niners in contention and to the Super Bowl. You don’t get there on accident or on subpar QB play. No, you can't live off of these and trust buffalo isn't going to get beat every time off such play calling but next man up, second and third string guys didn't come in off the couch. Why wouldn't he play if he is healthy? Odd question as that is what starting QBs do. Yes, with schemes and receivers that don't get anyone open, a crappy offensive line and playing in tough weather probably means they won't win and the QB won't have great stats but you still go out there and try to get it done.
