EDIT: Just wanna reminds you guys, this is very early access! The devs were upfront and acknowledged there is much work to be done, and they sent me a disclaimer highlighting the WIP's, known bugs, etc, before I played it. This video is not my review, more a preview of my first 3-4 hours, and some of "BigFrys" mechanical complaints are warranted. I played solo, and very differently to him in the time I've played so far. I purposely did not share much of my opinion or criticise certain features or mechanical aspects that I could have, as the devs asked me to treat it as a preview and not a review, which I respect. *The game definitely needs work* , but I hope that is made obvious by the footage and the fact this is *early access* with a $27 price point, so come 24th September, you can help make it the best version of itself it can be, if you choose to. I will follow up with a review some time after EA. Thanks for watching!
I'm obsessed with the lore and the world. To a point where I'm going to be very forgiving of bugs and the like, because I believe in this game's vision. I'm on board 100%, and while not everyone is going to feel that way, I think this is a niche that will have a very dedicated following.
I'm glad that it's possible to play as a single person and it's not tied to strict co-op. Really gives some 40k Cybernetic Uprising vibes and the potential is there so here's hoping the developers are able to continue working on the game for a solid 1.0 release. If they can even nail down better animations, add a back to the wall mechanic for corners and a toggleable right/left shoulder camera then that'd be a great start.
Also extra tools (shovel, wrench, screwdriver, etc.) for disassembling otherwise useless props for loot. Shovel for digging up rubble, wrench for mechanical, and screwdriver for electrical components of destroyed vehicles.
Is this a AI comment with AI or bot likes? What movie could you have ever watched that made you say this? I'm not trying to be mean but I feel like your stretching your imagination pretty far to think anything about this game looks cinematic. Like Terminator but if the movie was shot with stop motion toys instead of real people. There is nothing cinematic about this Kenshi jank looking game. We must have hit a REAL low in gaming if this JANK thing is being hyped this much. LOL. Sorry but really. Gaming low point.
Love the last extraction. The ever so slight hesitation to loot then the PTSD of last extractions kicking in and just leaving before all hell broke loose
It reminded me of when I was dying in "The Division 1". I was infected with a virus, that would have killed me in 1 minute and 13 seconds... and the escape choppa was coming in 1 minute. My (character's) vision was going blurry, I had the shakes, and was going into sceptic shock. Crazy game.
I think my only major gripe so far: It's right shoulder only. I hope they include shoulder swapping as I feel that's a necessity in any over the shoulder shooter.
Something that has been readily communicated to the developers, and was ranked as a 10 out of 10 priority by many of people the devs specifically reached out to for feedback
@@doom8274the water grind is my main concern. I know character experience is permenantly saved, but losing all loot if i dont log in for a few days could make me not a longterm player. I like the idea of being super weak and slowly collecting loot to eventually take down a big mech with a stratagic set up, but if im forced to login every few days to get water, that will really ruin this. If i had infinite time to login and play then the water is a non issue but sadly with travelling for work i cant be a daily player.
After the bigfry spectacle yesterday, this is very refreshing to see someone take this game seriously. Thank you, subbed. Hope to see more on this when we are in the Wasteland come the 24th. See you all there, scavs. Your gameplay was epic. So tense

@@woozie_tvyou do know what “early access” is actually for right? It’s for testing. Not the shovelware shit most games use it for. No shit the game isn’t finished yet.
@@woozie_tv you really don't understand the purpose of early access do you? Without a publisher they need funding and they need players for feed back. Unlike a scam this already has a game that people can play and refund with steam
@@diogo763 sadly nah, I entered 3 raffles for alpha testing and got skunked every time. I have thoughts, but all based on promotional materials/ q&a/ gameplay viewing.
@@spartan5637 YUH that review was dog-ass. I’ll probably do my own review on my real channel that I will not link to or promote because this ain’t my page. I only really upload when someone else does such a terrible job I feel the need to balance the scales.
From everything I've seen so far (official launch content & youtube reviewers) you are the lowest priority target at baseline. There is a threat system in game that helps the AI determine what needs to die the fastest. Same weight-class units will prioritize attacking others of their size, but it's possible to have a threat level high enough that you catch even the mech's and tank's attention as a target (ie: you started a mission carrying high explosives and an anti-materiel rifle) If you're the ONLY target, you will still be shot at. It does feel like the melee enemies seem to be hyper aggressive though and might have a preference for anything close by.
It's part of the game's weight and threat system. Depending on how much gear you're carrying and how much of a threat you are to the enemy factions, they will either ignore you or target you. Having good gear and strong weapons might seem nice as it makes it easier to fight off enemies, but it also means that the enemy factions can no longer ignore you and will open fire on sight.
@@ChrisBri77on The one major issue I saw in some play videos was melee seems overpowered right now (for enemies) players with 1,600 health being instantly one-shot by even common man sized enemies with melee attacks. Guns seemed balanced however, even a direct hit with an RPG didn't one-shot a player, but it got close to it.
@@lazerwater6137 yeah.. we all know this game only has performance issue and janky animation/action issue.. but imagine a game where you need to be stealthy, where you need to wait for them to killing each other so you can loot. You may not even need to bring GUN except the mission is about assassination. But then you shoot first, then complaining the game too hard bcuz the enemy is too many shooting at you after YOU SHOOT FIRST. 😂
40k is boring compared to Forever Winter. Edit: butthurt 40k-fanboys be butthurt. Cry about it, 40k aint as grimdark as it used to be, believing that is just cope at this point. Grow out of it, there are much more grimdark-things than 40k ffs
Actually thinking about it, it would be closer to Mars during the early days of its own technological "development" after the dark age collapse. Multiple factions fighting for power. They all use advanced tech. Some of them use heavy mechanical body augmentation. Human experimantation for the sake of science and war. Religions about praying to literal machinery and AI poping up and being wide spread.
@@ZackSavage its reductionist to compare anything to anything. thematically it has nothing in common with 40k or this war of mine. Its its own unique thing that ive not really seen in any media. being such an insignificant pawn that you arent even on the chess board is something present in lots of media, but its also present IRL.
Seeing the units from different factions engage each other was really cool. However they need to carefully manage their AI quality here, in a PvE game like this that's basically the star of the show. After this footage I'm kind of interested in this game.
Yeah, the AI can pretty much make or break this game, I think. I would even go as far to say it's probably the most important element of the game based on what I've seen.
I can definitely see this game garnering a very dedicated and loyal community of players. I’m usually never intrigued by games anymore, but this one caught my eye.
At this point everyone knows the state of the game. If it’s too early and buggy for you then don’t buy it. But I find it hard to say even in its current state that this game doesn’t have the “it” factor. There’s like 20 guys working on this thing and they made it pretty clear they are looking for help and feedback during EA. They probably need the funds too to keep going. I think 27 bucks is fair just even to explore this world they created.
I agree with you there, for me, there are definitely some typical early access headaches they need to sort, but the world building and passion goes a LONG way to customer good will.
Its mindblowing how people buy an EA title with a disclaimer saying game is a mess in development with issues, bugs etc and they neg rep the game based on being a mess with issues, bugs, etc and give zero feedback except moaning. A simple concept that cannot be grasped
Its 2024 bro, you don't work for them stop larping as a producer. 27 dollars is actually way to much to "explore this world of theirs". You seem to forget that many games have demos free of charge.
They are selling a product. We're waaaaay too far down the path of early access and kickstarter games for people to still believe the BS about 'it's super early, all the bugs will be fixed eventually.' If I'm spending nearly $30 I expect a playable game. Not a buggy tech demo. Release it for free to get feedback if it's so glitchy.
Look clunky as hell and screams pre-alpha and raw even for Early Access, but I honestly can't f*cking wait! Gonna give the devs the benefit of the doubt and support their work and hope for a better and finished product in the future. They freaking deserve.
@@SillyBoneThugg you dont need to know how to code to say something looks janky and clunky imagine you're at a restaurant and you get your food, and it tastes like shit, but the chef says "lets see you cook a filet mignon beef wellington you stupid f*ck" this game IS clunky and janky. Its not finished yet. I wont be playing the early access, lots of people wont be, and thats ok. For the people who really like this game's vibe and are willing to play something unfinished, to help it get closer to finished, this is for them.

In regards to the bigfry schtick, I think I have a theory as to why players like him are so bad at Forever Winter: They don’t get the point. When they’re given a gun In this game (or any game, for that matter), their first instinct is to shoot everything that moves, as that’s what early shooters like Doom and CoD taught them. Forever Winter isn’t like that. Every time you pull the trigger, you’re only hurting yourself. And if you go in guns blazing, you WILL get blazed sooner or later. Trying to be a one-man army is nothing short of self destruction.
it's crazy to see gamers once again eating up early access slop, this game will go nowhere. it's a resource hungry overly demanding game for piss poor gameplay, it's an art project disguised as a video game, it has worse AI than PSP handheld metal gear games, worse stealth than 2006 xbox splinter cell games and worse gunplay than halo from 2001, nothing about it besides the art is anything worth noting unless you started playing games 2 years ago and all you know is fortnite

I think the one thing I would want to see change is Extraction. Take it off a timer, slap it at some vault door, or ladders that take several seconds to open and start rather then just... "you're here now, please wait.." otherwise, I'm sure all those early deaths once you understand hte maps, the shadows, how detection works, it will be fun with some friends.
from what ive seen in different videos it depends on the extract. some are just press e to extract instantly. others are timed. some are locked behind faction rep.
Most extractions are not on a timer actually. in fact the map he is playing on to my knowledge no longer has one but some more convenient extraction sights do.
I'm so excited for this game. Some of my best moments in PvP extraction shooters are when I'm playing solo, hiding while squads are killing each other right around the corner from me, and I get to loot whatever is left. This looks like the whole game is built around those moments. And the aesthetic is just incredible.
yeah i'm a total loot goblin and not the best at shooters all the time but can hit when it counts (...usually) so this game is up my ally, especially since i like doing quick and stealthy stuff
@@proon. Oh it is. And only plans to be. What I mean is that it's difficulty and theme is catered to that exact kind of play. They've captured the pvp rat feel without the PvP
There are multiple extraction points in every mission, only SOME of them have timers like that, others are instant extraction. The easy to get to ones have the timers and enemy spawns it seems. So you can avoid these entirely if you want to.
Wow.... would you look at that! Someone who understands the game and didn't uninstall after failing one mission like some 12 year old child. Thank you for an honest display and understanding about how the game works and is intended to be played. Great overview, commentary and gameplay.
Thank you for that Verlix! I hope i made it clear that this is not a review and more a preview of my experience! It's very much Early Access, but there's so much going for it.
@@DTOXTV You did a great job at explaining everything. Clear and concise with footage inserted at the correct moments to highlight your commentary and get your point across. This will be the video I point everyone towards when it comes to explaining what FW is and the goal of the overall game. More importantly, how the developers intended for it to be played. There aren't a lot of anti-shooters in the market so this concept is one that needs to be both explained and showcased to get the point across as clearly as possible. Keep up the good work, looking forward to your future videos.
I'm already spending money for this, but the extraction scene of just 'plop' you disappear fade to black, ehh, could use some finishing touches down the road. 🎉🎉🎉
@@timgreen5281 That's not a big problem though. They could never do anything to convince you otherwise if you never cared in the first place. You aren't the target audience. The biggest thing is making sure that the AI works without issues. Games like these live and die by how well the AI works.
Only jarring issue I've seen is watching massive walkers that must weigh hundreds of tons glitch grinding up against flimsy infrastructure they'd otherwise break through or crush underfoot. Hoping they get that dialed in. All said, a minor complaint in the grand scheme of things.
These days it feels a lot of gamers and media quickly write-off games on the most superficial, fixable elements; bugs/glitches etc. It is so rare to see a game with such a uniquely compelling, cohesive concept, especially in 2024. Bugs can be patched, but the fundamental art-style, lore and world supporting the game cannot be.

@@doom8274 what AAA studio burned you with an early access??? Serious question, not being sarcastic. I'm getting this game regardless. The devs are so fuckin based. It's genuinely so refreshing to hear devs being upfront, honest and on level with their players..
Doesn't matter if the devs are base or whatever. If they can't deliver a good product in the end, its you who are in the wrong and wasted your money. And i can tell you right now, don't waste your money. Because this game will never be good. Simply because the devs don't have the competence/know-how how to develop a game like this. There is already so much basic stuff wrong and not working. No chance they'll ever get it right. 30 years of failed video gaming industry says so!
@@doom8274 I agree that the comments about him not playing correctly are dumb. His mistake was releasing two videos that display his ignorance regarding how actual extremely early access actually looks. He called a game in an alpha state shit over and over. It was lame. Now you are doing the same. If you can name an early alpha access game that isnt bugged out like crazy, I'll delete my responses to all your bs
having spent hours on the game Kenshi I am already primed as ''the rat king'' when it comes to gameplay and picking opportunity's or avoiding danger, that game is actually a pretty good way to train that specific set of skills for situational awareness and risk taking.
The extraction is not based on a vehicle, elevator, or teleporter, the idea is that you just walk away from the combat zone, so I think extraction should work on fast travel logic, i.e. you cannot extract while enemies are nearby, at least not when any of them are searching for you.
That was a great early demonstration of the basic game concept and mechanics. I'm glad you were able to give a genuine perspective on the current version of the game and that the developers seem open to feedback. I have high hopes for this game especially after the developers dropped the trailer with open opinions on the current gaming climate. I'm excited to see how this game progresses! Although it's far away from being a complete finished project, it looks really enticing and unique. Boy is this game brutal by the way!
This was a really helpful glimpse into what to expect. I'm really not an extraction shooter type of person, but the world is so fascinating. I want to take time to live in it and learn about it, meet its inhabitants. Did you get a sense of that when you were at home base? I know I'm in the minority here, but lore aspects are what keep me coming back.
The vibes are a big selling point, but your home base is more like an interactive element of the menu interactions for the most part. The game is thick with atmosphere but couldn't tell you about the lore gameplay wise. Quests are simple missions to give you an extra purpose inside a raid! Don't buy into it yet if you're looking for a "story" experience! Hope this helps.
Feedback from those little snippets we got here (bear in mind I know it's alpha, and everything that follows is "imo"): Well I guess a very important selling point for this game is the immersion due to graphics (and they are very nice) and to the overwhelming feeling of oppression and danger the war gives to the players. If they don't buy it, I fear they won't get into the game. It HAS to feel "organic". So if the devs can make all the AI soldiers and mecha look not as clunky as they were in the video it would be a huge improvement. A smarter behavior will help a lot. Maybe making the armies doing "targeted operations" rather than randomly roaming the map (as it seems they do, but idk for sure). For example the 2 soldiers at 9:00 who stood still in the open until they took a lost fight against a mecha and get destroyed (at least one of them) is not really helping to get the immersion thing. Those 2 could have at least taken cover, used an explosive, or just ran away, and not straight up fired bullets at the mecha. Did I see a cyborg carrying scotch bottles? I get the loot system has to exist and mobs have to drop useful stuff, but maybe only the human soldiers should carry scotch? Finally the extraction point thing is very underwhelming right now, but it looks very much like a work in progress.
The environment is a massive part of the game so making it feel more alive is really important and not just a bells and whistle kind of deal. They could atleast have the npcs make more noise like having the soldiers talk or call out things in a fight
@@MrTetrisz absolutely agree with all of these. Also the talking (and behavior) between soldiers could be adapted to the nightmare they live in and not just a military jargon like you have in a call of duty.
Solid point! Then again if people wanted "real life" difficulty they'd join the military, sign up for a combat MOS, and go to war. Has its moments but most wouldn't openly consider that fun without being labeled a psychopath. Looking forward to this game personally.
it's more difficult due to the buggy AI and unbalanced spawn points/movement speed etc If it's that fixed and works as intent, game would be much easier
Ayy! Sick to see ya do a lil preview of this, hun! Me and a bud are super hyped for this but it's definitely going to test my low frustration tolerance with all the failures I'm sure to experience xD
These are my opinions for a very early access, and this is a game i am very much eager for: First, the gun's sound, they sound fine, but the 'radius' feels silly. Of course, if you shoot, nearby enemies will go towards you, but it seems like enemies largely ignore other enemie's gunfire while seemingly appearing just for your noisy booty (Ofc, this is just from these impressions) Second, that eurasia super-robo-punch of insta radius kill, punching a wall not even close to you is... broken, ofc this is likely going to be fixed, but i like to ramble
This is the only 'fair' comment I've seen in the comment section. Everyone else is either hyping the hell out of the game or trashing it I'm surprised he didn't say anything about the robot punch. Sure, it's an instant kill, but that thing wasn't on the same elevation They should fix the ai so that units from other factions stop fighting just move on you when detected. I saw him shoot that soldier and the cyborgs right next to him ignored that same soldier and beelined for the player. And the timer doesn't make much sense. Hiding and watching the fight for a minute doesn't seem engaging. Why create a hold out section when the game discourages combat? It should be the player making their own escape through that fight to extract rather than waiting for it to end
@@MrTetrisz Cheers mate :D Glad to see a like-minded individual :D Hopefully someone, maybe even a dev sees this, and helps balance it further. Ofc this is their game, but fairness is always something to strive for!
god that last extraction had me forward in my seat on edge. Was a random cyborg group gonna show up at extract for the 7th time. And i was just watching your gameplay. looks frustrating but still fun. Definetly worth the price, I'm hoping overtime with more testers they can get things just right!
Definitely need a shit ton of animation work on those AI. They look stiff. They really do need some stealth mechanics like takedowns. Would be nice to have some Titanfall 2 type finisher for the mechs.
Agree on animation work, disagree on the other 2. The game wants you to fight as little as possible and a mech finisher is exactly the opposite of that when it's incentivizing you to fight the murder machine for a cool animation
This is a game iam so looking forward to see on its completion, it has so much potential and nails the dark gritty dystopian vibe of a post apocalyptic world torn by war and suffering very very well! The aestetics of some of the androids remind me of the terminator, and it is so cool! This might become the "Terminator" game we never knew we wanted. Looks amazing even being a early build :). Great video!
Pretty clever to have a pre launch version avail at a discounted rate for test players to provide feedback and when game does launch they get full access and some extra perks
Great video. Plenty of information there that a lot of other videos lack. Loving the brutal look of the game. Looking forward having this game kick me in the balls repeatedly.
I've been so excited for this game but it really needs some work. The AI movements look jank as hell among a plethora of other things. I get early access and all so hopefully the fixes will be sooner than later. Still excited for it regardless because when a complete build it'll be so lit.
The premise looks great and the environments look beautifully dark -truly breathtaking. However, the lack of something as crucial as shoulder swapping in a 3D person POV is alarming -even if it’s to get a better camera angle. The gunplay is terrible -regardless if you’re supposed to be scavs and is built around “stealth”. I understand that this is releasing in EA but that doesn’t mean it can’t be too early. If they got bullied into putting this out because of an overwhelming amount of request/, it should have been done thru a demo or play testing not asking $27. Donate to the devs if you’re truly passionate about the project bc when it comes out and people shit on it for its current state, it’s only going to hurt the morale of the dev team. I have about 2000 hours on EFT so I’m not afraid of the “hardcore” aspect.
Love when games include different factions fighting each other and you get to see it firsthand like in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Roadkill (old Playstation 2 game), Space Pirates and Zombies (S.P.A.Z.), and an old Flash game called Flash Trek.

Not every game has to be Tarkov or PubG, or even AS successful to be a success. If you want those games GO PLAY THEM, they already exist.
Love the brutality of this game!
I'm obsessed with the lore and the world. To a point where I'm going to be very forgiving of bugs and the like, because I believe in this game's vision.
I'm on board 100%, and while not everyone is going to feel that way, I think this is a niche that will have a very dedicated following.
Can't wait to play it.
Your play looked much cleaner than some videos I've seen. Better system? Patched copy?
Game look promising but for a stealthy survival game. I see no hiding mechanics other than a crouch pose. Hopefully they will do better than that.
If Helldivers 2 recently had been compared to the Horus heresy, then this game is like the wars of Earth's unification.

All it needs is some more stealth mechanics, hidden in shadows, unarming or sneak kills to avoid aggroing errthing
Sneak kills are confirmed to come later
I suspect silencers are in game given all the weapon mods you see.
That and some more AI pathing refinement. Woudl eb cool to see them move around and take cover.
Also extra tools (shovel, wrench, screwdriver, etc.) for disassembling otherwise useless props for loot. Shovel for digging up rubble, wrench for mechanical, and screwdriver for electrical components of destroyed vehicles.

@@S1e73n the battles are all AI driven like a big chess game, so while its possible, more than likely things will look different almost every time.
Is this a AI comment with AI or bot likes? What movie could you have ever watched that made you say this? I think my only major gripe so far: It's right shoulder only. I hope they include shoulder swapping as I feel that's a necessity in any over the shoulder shooter.
The devs plan on doing this down the line. How soon they do it is unknown.
Something that has been readily communicated to the developers, and was ranked as a 10 out of 10 priority by many of people the devs specifically reached out to for feedback
Thats never bothered me honestly as I prefer over the right shoulder anyway. But I will admit it's very helpful for wall peaking to the left.
should be more worried about how the game deletes your progress unless you log in every few days to grind water like a gacha game

@donk8961 Plus with big fry acting like a child in the comments, it really just was an ass review and poor showing all around
I think not firing until you are struck is key, a lot of the ai appears to ignore you unless you shoot them.
From everything I've seen so far (official launch content & youtube reviewers) you are the lowest priority target at baseline. There is a threat system in game that helps the AI determine what needs to die the fastest. Same weight-class units will prioritize attacking others of their size, but it's possible to have a threat level high enough that you catch even the mech's and tank's attention as a target (ie: you started a mission carrying high explosives and an anti-materiel rifle)
If you're the ONLY target, you will still be shot at. It does feel like the melee enemies seem to be hyper aggressive though and might have a preference for anything close by.
@@ChrisBri77on That's pretty cool. This is a game I'll keep on my watchlist until it's matured a bit more in development.
Common man sized enemies should still be much stronger than a common scavenger

Agreed
We're waaaaay too far down the path of early access and kickstarter games for people to still believe the BS about 'it's super early, all the bugs will be fixed eventually.'
If I'm spending nearly $30 I expect a playable game. Not a buggy tech demo. Release it for free to get feedback if it's so glitchy.

In regards to the bigfry schtick, I think I have a theory as to why players like him are so bad at Forever Winter:
They don’t get the point.

The extraction is not based on a vehicle, elevator, or teleporter, the idea is that you just walk away from the combat zone, so I think extraction should work on fast travel logic, i.e. you cannot extract while enemies are nearby, at least not when any of them are searching for you.

The vibes are a big selling point, but your home base is more like an interactive element of the menu interactions for the most part. This game seems to have a lot of potential
Nice! Good job extracting, cannot wait to get in!
Feedback from those little snippets we got here (bear in mind I know it's alpha, and everything that follows is "imo"):
Well I guess a very important selling point for this game is the immersion due to graphics (and they are very nice) and to the overwhelming feeling of oppression and danger the war gives to the players.

Ngl this looks absolutely amazing. Cant wait to get my hands on it
These are my opinions for a very early access, and this is a game i am very much eager for:
First, the gun's sound, they sound fine, but the 'radius' feels silly. Of course, if you shoot, nearby enemies will go towards you, but it seems like enemies largely ignore other enemie's gunfire while seemingly appearing just for your noisy booty (Ofc, this is just from these impressions)
Second, that eurasia super-robo-punch of insta radius kill, punching a wall not even close to you is... broken, ofc this is likely going to be fixed, but i like to ramble
This is the only 'fair' comment I've seen in the comment section. Everyone else is either hyping the hell out of the game or trashing it
I'm surprised he didn't say anything about the robot punch. Sure, it's an instant kill, but that thing wasn't on the same elevation
They should fix the ai so that units from other factions stop fighting just move on you when detected.
I have never played an extraction shooter, and this game will be my first!
I"m really excited!
i cant wait to support this game and the dev team. Also great video!
god that last extraction had me forward in my seat on edge. Was a random cyborg group gonna show up at extract for the 7th time. And i was just watching your gameplay. looks frustrating but still fun. Definetly worth the price, I'm hoping overtime with more testers they can get things just right!
Looks promising, the UI needs a major amount of TLC ;)
Appreciate how transparent you are with your communication with the devs. Will be interested to see how this launches in early access!
The mechs are legitimately terrifying
11:13 That tank running you over was funny as hell, man!
I'm so ready for this! Love me some early access jank, PvE extraction?! Even better!
Really looking forward to this one, I love the different perspective they went for. Very clever way to stand out next to HD2 and SM2.
This video provides infinitely more value to viewers than Bigcrys videos could ever even hope to achieve. Good video.
Press 4 to heal!
He ain't got time to bleed😁
Pretty clever to have a pre launch version avail at a discounted rate for test players to provide feedback and when game does launch they get full access and some extra perks
Great video. Plenty of information there that a lot of other videos lack.
Loving the brutal look of the game. Looking forward having this game kick me in the balls repeatedly.
Yeah I'm even more hype for this game now that I got to see more gameplay! Thanks for the amazing content!
I've been so excited for this game but it really needs some work. The AI movements look jank as hell among a plethora of other things. I get early access and all so hopefully the fixes will be sooner than later. Still excited for it regardless because when a complete build it'll be so lit.
Finally. A survival looter that makes you really avoid the environment and pick and choose your fights in order to survive. I am excited to get this
The premise looks great and the environments look beautifully dark -truly breathtaking.
I have about 2000 hours on EFT so I’m not afraid of the “hardcore” aspect.
spent the morning in awe at all the videos covering this gem in the making
bruh this camera sway is killing me
Love when games include different factions fighting each other and you get to see it firsthand like in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Roadkill (old Playstation 2 game), Space Pirates and Zombies (S.P.A.Z.), and an old Flash game called Flash Trek.
I often play games for 3 days, then play other games for 2 weeks before coming back. But I'm guessing that's not possible with the water bullshhhh. "No playing other games, you got to keep that water up or you lose VENDER PROGRESSION COMPLETLY. AND ALL ITEMS." If the water only goes down when logged in, sure. But if it's burning through water while I'm playing a Core Keeper or Terraria playthrough with friends, and it removes all my venders and items. I'M INSTANTLY Deleting.
P.S I am excited to play, looks like great fun, but again, if the games gonna delete all my items and venders because I wasn't playing for 2 weeks I'm honestly probably never gonna play again.
My man expects an issue he made up in his head. Wait for early access
@@NamsaRayThey literally have said that if your base runs out of water, You lose everything besides character level progression.
If your water reaches 0 when you're at work, on vacation, Injured and can't play or any other reasons that life can throw at you, the game will not care.
"Uh so hardcore" gimme a break. Even Tarkov got rid of this bullshit mechanic. It is predatory of your players' time. The have such a sorry excuse for a gameplay loop at the moment that this is how they plan to keep you playing.
@@NamsaRay If you read the P.S
"P.S I am excited to play, looks like great fun, but again, if the games gonna delete all my items and venders because I wasn't playing for 2 weeks I'm honestly probably never gonna play again."
You can see that I am waiting for early access to get confirmation on how this works.
And that I already know my reaction if I lose all my progression for not playing weekly/ Fortnightly.
@@Tacti_cat The original commenter talks about this mechanic WHILE YOU'RE NOT PLAYING THE GAME
Which is obviously, wasn't mentioned anywhere. I know about the mechanic itself, but OC is for some reason thinking that they will do that while you're not in the game. Which is obviously non sensical. Thus OC made up the issue in his own head.
@@roxyk2515 Not sure why you have to light up a fire out of it. I would just patiently wait, and not express my thoughts which can be misinterpreted by some populus. Even if someone does understand your comment correctly, there are people who won't and start panicking and making an elephant out of nothing.
I really like the premise that you're a "nobody" that could get destroyed easily at any second by the on-going war. It adds a constant tension and fear to the raids.
2:29 wth is that melee range?
Yeah well, it's a okay game but the reviews are declining very fast.
@@testtickles8878 damn, i was hoping they improve and win.
Thanks a lot buddy . I never heard of this game before this video . And now i want to play no other game besides it! Born in the mid 80s i am a sucker for survival /terminator style stuff . Thanks for pointing it out!
You might not be a Space Marine, but you are playing on Terra during the Age of Strife.
homeboy over here setting up a tent and picnic table when he was going to scavenge the dead cyborg he killed. lol you have to be fast.
Seems the ai just spawn beside the player and its very immersion breaking
My eyes are glued to the screen and I cannot stop watching.
Wow a player that doesn’t just go in and go Rambo and then complain about how combat is so hard saying the game sucks. Good one lad
I am so excited dude, it takes alot to get me excited for any game now a days but dude this game is gonna consume my life
It looks cool but the cyborg zombies seem pretty overrepresented in the footage I've seen and they don't seem very fun to fight. They run faster than the player and seem to just swarm them without much opportunity to fight back or escape. Compared to many of the other units they're always hostile regardless of how you behave.
at the moment the AI is pretty dumb. and there are stealth mechanics. Eurasia cyborgs are very fun to fight when you're geared
So ready for this game! The devs are amazing and I can't wait for this game to bloom into something we will play for years!
it sure as hell looks brutal....to play
Then it's not meant for you.
@@Psiikix No, it's meant to be difficult. Don't be an arse.
@@RokeJulianLockhart.s13ouq I know it's meant to be difficult.
The way this guy worded it makes it seem like it's not worth playing because of that
@@PsiikixYeah, Low frame rates, Buggy AI. Poor map design. Janky player controller. Lethargic recoil. No shoulder swap for a 3rd person game in 2024.
You are right, It is not meant for me. I prefer my games to have an actual enticing gameplay loop and not just glaze for the pretty graphics.
@Tacti_cat bro you're still acting as though you're suppose to be fighting.
You're not. You aren't some spec ops soy boi, you're a nobody scav. It's suppose to be hard and you're not suppose to have total control over the weapon.
Just say you're bad 😂
the worldbuilding the factions the lore the characters this could seriously be a massive game/show/series/ this could stick around for a long time if done right
This game will be an amazing success, it's not from any corrupt corporation and got zero trash inside it.
Hope they keep it clean and move on to greater heights free from corporations and DEI scourge.
"Corrupt" is what all corporations want to be when they can get away with it and "DEI" is the strawman that cargo cult gamers blame for greedy publishers
@@alexanderjmihalich8525 EA and Activision were corrupt decades before DEI and wokeism came in.
After DEI and wokeism began to deteriorate content is when it became unacceptable.

Thanks for the preview! Now i really want to get this game!
The artificial intelligence is going to make or break this game. Right now it's not looking great
it's crazy to see gamers once again eating up early access slop, this game will go nowhere.
it's a resource hungry overly demanding game for piss poor gameplay, it's an art project disguised as a video game, it has worse AI than PSP handheld metal gear games, worse stealth than 2006 xbox splinter cell games and worse gunplay than halo from 2001, nothing about it besides the art is anything worth noting unless you started playing games 2 years ago and all you know is fortnite

That water mechanic sounds dumb. So if I take a break from the game because of work or vacation I lose my inventory?

People making excuses for shitty AI because they're hyped over the devs gaming politics video from a few weeks ago.
The game is PVE only. The AI is the star of the show. And it's garbage.
It's extremely dumb how Helldivers 2 and this game don't have PvP when they're the most important for the longevity of games like this. There's a reason why Tarkov, PubG, Battlefield etc always have players playing them unlike this game which will be dead in 3 days
