Toby can make you wanna be a soldier, a cowboy, in a bar, a country singer and song writer. He was an incredible person. RIP TOBY KEITH. You are missed.
Your reactions are priceless! So just in case you didn't know Marshal Dillon and Miss Kitty are characters from an old TV show "Gunsmoke". Gene and Roy I believe (could be wrong and someone will correct me) is referring to Gene Autry and Roy Rogers. I grew up on their music and tv shows! So as you can tell I am really really old! The cowboy hat fits you and your spirit! Love from Texas🤠🤠🤠
He wrote this song in a hotel bathroom in Dodge City Kansas after a night in a bar It was said after a lady rejected a man but took a cowboy up on his offer So it was said I shoulda been a cowboy and Toby thought I could write that song So he did That's the fast basic jist
Toby Keith singing "Red Solo Cup" 🥤 and his song "I'll Never Smoke Weed With Willie Nelson Again" , " Trailerhood" and "Who's Your Daddy" are all funny songs with great videos
This song is the reason I fell in love with country music (despite living in rural nebraska in the US) I even joke I want this played at my funeral. I was blessed to see TK 5 times with my mom over 2 decades and even have the t shirt I got at our first concert and wore it when I met him backstage briefly before a show and got our pic with him. My mom passed December of last year unexpectedly so TK music means even more to me now. When I find a reactor I enjoy, I listen to a bunch of their videos and comment too :) so be prepared. I pressed subscribe during my first video of yours that o saw of the song Arlington as soon as Trace sang the first line and you realized what his voice is like:)
Growing up in the country, my friend and I spent our entire Sumer on horses. When we weren't doing chores that is. But the minute chores were done we hit the barn or pasture, saddled our horses and were gone until dark. We also pretended to be cowboys/cowgirls but we had real cattle to herd. Even today I have 9 horses but pretending has stopped. I love Toby's music and have since I heard this song when it was released. I have a nephew Ron who is the spitting image of Toby. So much so people have come up to him for an autograph. Ron never leads them on though. Here's wishing Toby the best and a speedy full recovery.
I haven’t heard this song in forever. I love Toby Keith. I grew up on this music. Flashbacks to riding in my papa’s pickup truck through the Florida backwoods ❤
Well it's been nice listening to your reactions while I couldn't sleep. I've seen them all. So you gotta get busy making more so I will have new ones when I can't sleep. 🙂✌️🎶🙏
This is his first single off his first album back in 1993. I've been a fan of his since he came out. Check out " Getcha some" , " I wanna talk about me" , " How do you like me now", "Big ol' truck" ," Cryin' for me (Wayman's song)" By Toby Keith
I just started following you on TH-cam. I am so proud that you show so much respect for my country. You show more respect than some Americans. Would love to have you visit the U S at anytime. I have subscribed to your channel. God Bless
Song says ...should've been a cowboy, just like Gene and Roy... that refers to Gene Autry and Roy Rogers, who were popular Western stars and singing cowboys. Both acted in Western movies. Rogers hosted radio and TV programs in the 1930s to 1960s, he was also a rodeo performer. Autry was also a musician and on radio, TV and movies.
That hat is priceless. Looks damn good on you too. Take it to Florida with you. You’d be surprised at how many natives wear just that. At least bring it along. You look like a natural.
Context is important. References an earlier time ... your grand parents who Marshal Dillon, Miss Kitty, Tonto, and Gene and Roy are. Ask them, it'll bring a smile to their face ... my daddy loved Gunsmoke
For some more great cowboy songs check out the great storyteller Marty Robbins and his Gunfighter Ballads album - "Big Iron", "El Paso" and "The Master's Call" to name a few.
Four years ago or so there were police departments doing lip sync battles on TH-cam. La Crus, New Mexico police department did this song. Toby even said they did a good job with it. It's really good video if you want to check it out sometime for yourself
Just seeing that mullet brings me back man. I want you to react to another country artist named Joe Diffie. Joe died a couple years ago and his best songs imo are Prop me up beside the jukebox if I die, and third rock from the sun. (not to be confused with the brilliant tv show.)
Do The Song; Father Son & Holy Ghost, By Creg Morgan. It Will Get ya In Your feels. He Wrote This Song After He Lost His Son In A Drowning. It Is A Beautiful & Sad Song. He Has A Great Voice & I Think You'll Enjoy.
Matt Dillon and Miss Kitty were from an old western as were Roy Rodgers and Gene..I think Gene last name was Austry. They were the actors of their times.
@@mikeyreacts234 - I live in the Tombstone Hills, a few miles south of town. The land was an old mining claim from 1882, there are mine shafts on the property. I’m looking out the window and I can see property still owned by the Clanton family. Beautiful sunsets!
Off subject, But would love for you to react to Chris Stapleton and Justin Timberlake Live at the County Music Awards. Fantastic Performance Crowd on there feet. Thank You, Enjoying your Channel Hello from Arizona A fun video to show you what 1977 was like, I was at concert. Lynyrd Skynyrd Free Bird..Live Oakland Coliseum...We could party, surprised I made it through the 60s 70s. Woodstock 1969, almost half a million people showed up for 3 days of Rock and Roll Santana song Soul Sacrifice...Fantastic Performance
Since you said in one of your videos that you're on a country music journey, you should check out "Ol Red" by Blake Shelton. If you like the story telling of country music you might also like "A boy named Sue" by Johnny Cash. I have a million I could recommend 😊❤️
🔥💥🔥💥 Really enjoy your videos. Hoping you would react to another incredible singer….Marcelito Pomoy as he sings “The Prayer” on the Wishbus. He is amazing. You won’t believe what you are hearing. Please and thanks! 🙏🏼👍
I will ask again since you did the Toby Keith song “Courtesy of The Red, White and Blue”, would you PLEASE watch the music video of Lynyrd Skynyrd ~ RED WHITE AND BLUE~ LIVE @ FREEDOM HALL. IF you have heard of the songs titled “Sweet Home Alabama”, “Free Bird”, “Gimme Back My Bullets”, ETC., THEN you know who the Band Lynyrd Skynyrd are.
I apologize if you’ve done the song but he does a song with Brantley Gilbert and Hardy about the Worst Country Song of all Time, must watch the music video version!! There’s history between TK and the chicks (formerly known as the Dixie Chicks) and while I don’t want to perpetuate it, it was clear then as it is now that he supports our military.
"British Guy reacts to Star Spangled Banner as you've never heard it before" I just watched your reaction to the title above. As an American, I am somewhat familiar with the story but there are so many versions and who REALLY knows exactly what happened? I just want to say that your respect with hat off and hand over the heart proved you know more than some Americans...sad to say. Point being, its not the exact story but the basic idea of standing for freedom from tyranny til death and doing it knowing that you care more for the survival of the new country than your life yourself. Also it was a very small % of population that fought (less than 5% for sure) and they still won. We understand where we stand now, and its not going away without the same fight but many times the population more will do it again if required. That is never what we want, but times have changed and so have tactics as you might be aware.... Only this time, its not just the British Empire, its many more and filthy traitors. Quite aware of those too. We just want to get along with everyone and live to our best potential and do good for our families and God. Just pray for that if no reply. Much respect from middle America.
Howdy from Texas. You have the hat, do you have the cowboy boots? If you really want to gain sub's react to Pentatonix's Hallelujah. This is the song that put Toby Keith on the map. Great reaction and one of my favorite songs.
The hat's perfect for you. 👍
You got my like the instant you threw on the cowboy hat! LOVE IT!

That's the way I always figured, Roy Rogers and Gene Autry.
I think you got it right.
Same thing I wrote and was thinking.
He wrote this song in a hotel bathroom in Dodge City Kansas after a night in a bar It was said after a lady rejected a man but took a cowboy up on his offer So it was said I shoulda been a cowboy and Toby thought I could write that song So he did That's the fast basic jist
That was my grandfather‘s favorite show so when I heard it in this song and put a smile on my face
This is a young Toby. Love him.
I drive by Toby Keith's water tower in Moore Garth's in Yukon and Vince Gill's statue weekly, it's crazy how many artists are from little ole Oklahoma
Toby Keith singing "Red Solo Cup" 🥤 and his song "I'll Never Smoke Weed With Willie Nelson Again" , " Trailerhood" and "Who's Your Daddy" are all funny songs with great videos
Great react. Thank you so much for sharing about Toby. I didn't even know.

I think you may be ready for “Red Solo Cup” by Toby. The rest of the world wonders about it-this song explains all. 😂😂
Also Gene and Roy are references to two of the biggest country western movie stars ever, Gene Autrey, and Roy Rodgers.
I prefer Toby Keith’s Dallas Cowboys version of this song he did for Monday Night Football!
Four years ago or so there were police departments doing lip sync battles on TH-cam. La Crus, New Mexico police department did this song. Toby even said they did a good job with it. It's really good video if you want to check it out sometime for yourself

Did you know that Blake Shelton was not the original singer of Ol' Red? The original singer was George Jones and Blake redid it.
I just found your channel recently dude you should become an American citizen.
Thank you for a fun video! The Stetson suits you. Put a Carhart T-shirt on with it and you'd pass for authentic. (Just don't speak! haha!)
