    Good video, opening it up! Would love to see you go through with doing a custom build open source mpc. Could also order some custom pcb board, re-solder and rehouse the mpc parts while keeping the mpc OS software for a prototype version.

      Hypothetically, anywhere as long as shipping is covered. I'm in Canada however so I don't know if it's worth the cost of shipping both ways alone.

    I need to learn about this kind of stuff. I would have the volume knob in the front, or a set of inputs in the front. It always felt weird controlling those from the back.

      KO?
      Also, sounds like an issue I had with a second MPC I have purchased second hand a little while ago. Is there no audio at all? Not even if you wiggle the jack?
      You can see that mine also had some repair job done on the headphone jack. The capacitor blue and they attached a much beefier one

      Well that's not good. Tried opening the thing up? Checking if the headphone jack has a blown capacitor? Cuz if it does, then it's an easy fix. What about back audio? Still got main monitor our working?

    I didn’t realize the One/One+ didn’t have a 1/4 jack. I thought that was the standard for MPCs because the Live 2 definitely has it.

    • @DaxWinston
      @DaxWinston  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So there are even inconsistencies between releases too

    • @apexone5502
      @apexone5502 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@DaxWinston apparently so. I had never delved too deeply into the specs of the One since I had scooped up the Live 2. I assumed certain specs they both shared were consistent. I have a pair of cans that have a detachable cord where one end has the 3.5 mm adapter and the other end has the 1/4 adapter. Whenever I use that pair of headphones for the Live, I always have to use the 1/4 adapter to plug into the device. I don't understand why that feature wasn't included with the One (well, outside of cost cutting).

      @@DaxWinston - I mean yeah, it's a $2 part, but the MPC One is literally built-to-cost. Multiply that $2 part by a production run of 100,000 units, and they saved $200,000 making them, which is not a small amount.

      Knowing how display interfaces are wired and having seen the inside of the unit, I gotta say that would be a pain in the ass. And it wouldn't really give you more room in the UI either, it'd just be the same UI but larger.
