Our summer sales are on, and I happened to spot an amazing vest yesterday, the last one in the store and in my size too. Tried it on (wow!) and bought it, along with a pretty eyelet shirt, both garments 50% off. It's been a while since I purchased anything retail, as you will usually find me thrifting. At 73, I won't be wearing the vest on its own, although it's an amazing fit, but will add a shirt or blouse under, or layer a blazer or cropped jacket over as we head into autumn. Late summer/early autumn can be the best time of year, great for experimenting with layers.
Aren’t you already seeing shoulder pads? They aren’t MC Hammer-esk, but are definitely a thing. I’m with you though. Shoulder pads in blazers to give some shape is ok. Otherwise…not so much.
I got the cropped wide leg jeans from Amazon that you linked in your previous video. I just love them and are almost an exact dupe to your higher end ones. I love the two small front,pockets. I see these more as a Spring/ Summer style ❤️

I loving bermuda shorts. Even when I was plus sized they worked for my body type but after losing 150 pounds I still don't care much to show my knees so these will be perfect. I've been loving sweater jackets lately and have several from loft. I'm also loving the utility jumpsuit I just got from loft. I do plan to get some wide leg cropped pants for the spring. As a petite woman, cropped length pants are perfect for me. Love this vid!

This morning I ordered the red flower embroidered bomber from Anthropologie and can’t wait to receive it. Overall, these trends are all great with sneakers which go well with my lifestyle.
I love Bermuda shorts as they can be dressed up or down. I think like anything else the key to Bermuda shorts is to find the right fit. Personally I prefer Bermudas with a slimmer leg… they do make your legs look long. This spring I’m going to try the wide leg crop. I haven’t found a wide leg jean yet that is flattering on me. They tend to swallow me up… on the hunt for the ‘just right’ pair. Thank you for all your fashion tips!
Regarding the sweaters and jackets for Spring, where I live I would only be able to wear them for a few weeks. It was already nearly 80 degrees last week….the last week of Feb.

Haha. Bomber jackets had their moment maybe a decade ago. I didn’t get one then, but I’m a sucker for jackets, so a bomber in a breathable fabric may entice me.
I was not about to go out and buy a higher shaft boot to wear the cropped wide-leg pants in the colder months. However, I may give them a look as warmer weather approaches since you can wear them with sandals and sneakers that I already own.
I love the snug fitting jean Bermuda shorts !! I love all of the flare leg jeans that you showed, they are so flattering on most shapes but esp. pear shapes. I love the crop flair too, I have some of those. The jean dresses are so forgiving if they're not too thin of a material. The thicker jean material can add some bulk and shape to your top if you're pear shaped. I always look for thicker material shirts/blouses, but it's hard to find anymore. Everything seems to be thin, clingy and filmy. All that does is accentuate the wide hips and thighs. If I can't find thicker materials in my blouses then I will layer thinner blouses together to get bulk up top. The bomber jackets are beautiful too! That would be a great layering piece for a pear shape. The earrings are very pretty. I'm not fond of the off the shoulder blouses....they just seem impractical....lol! And as far as cut outs....I might like one if I could find it in a material and style that flattered my body type most I see do not, unfortunately. TY for the lovely video! I enjoyed looking at the trends, even if I won't wear some of them.

I really want to try a modest flare jean and a kick crop flare. The pink cropped ones you showed are very cute. I think they will be fun to wear. No thanks to 1980's big stud earrings. Also big no to bermudas. I'm a shorts lover but mid-length are the most flattering length for me and I will stick with those.
I liked all your examples of spring fashion trends. I love denim midi skirts with side or back openings definitely not front openings. They go too high into pantie territory and are not attractive or practical especially when I'm sitting.
Jamie, you're killing me! I've been wanting (and trying to resist) both a bomber jacket AND a "lady jacket" or sweater jacket, like the ones you showed. I'm trying to convince myself that my blazers will fit the bill, although I've never really been a blazer girl. Resistance may be futile at this point... lol. I have a denim shirtdress that I like to style with western boots or with platform sandals in warmer weather. I just started wearing shorts again last year and look forward to pulling those out soon! I do have a couple of cotton dresses from Old Navy that you featured last year, that have the subtle cutouts on the sides, and I'll be wearing those soon, too. I just can’t on the cropped pants, although I think the kick flares are cute on other people. My SIL can’t do three quarter sleeves or even elbow length and I feel the same way about any pants between knee and ankle. Ha

I think just adjust these trends to something you're comfortable with. Like the vest with a shirt underneath and older ladies have always worn Bermuda shorts - the surprising thing is that people younger than 55 are now wearing them
i love jumpsuits but i do not own one because the thought of undressing to use the restroom and potentially having my clothes on a dirty floor does not appeal to me.
Not a fan of bermuda shorts, they dont flatter my legs, i look better in a shorter length but not super short. Havent found a jumpsuit that works for me, i was wanting a denim one, but none fit my longer torso
Cropped wide leg pants/jeans look so dumpy!!! They are very unflattering because they cut off your legs to look stumpy. The shorter Bermuda shorts are ok, but the longer ones not so much.
They’re particularly frumpy looking if you are long waisted. They make my lower half look even shorter!!! I can get away with cropped leggings ( think Audrey Hepburn in the 1960s ) but wide cropped pants are a huge NO!
This may sound really silly but I live in Australia so when everyone is talking about Spring trends we are headed to Autumn. If you live in the southern hemisphere, are we supposed to stay 6 months behind and I’ll wear the spring trends when we next head into spring or wear spring trends in winter or are we supposed to wear spring trends in autumn to stay “on-trend”? This doesn’t work well for summer/winter trends though 😂
