Dave I did this with a 2023 season and loaded up each team as 2020 and changed each team to 2023. Only problem now is the schedule not there for 2023, bummer
Dave, thanks so much for this. This is so very helpful and I look forward to using this program for Grants 49 game(55 NFL/82 CFL). Also kudos for you, for a) doing this late at night and b) sounds like you had a cold. I look forward to you playing Doug Flutie and the 93 Calgary team.
I tried the manual entry for plays after the fact and it didn't work, I added the stats from a previous game and wanted to advance and it kept saying I had to correct the rushing of the players in the rushing column. It was under Utilities and Manual Game Entry, plus I need the dice and I guess I could use the ballstat dice program
Hey Dave, Awesome that you’re doing this!! Covering the PFH in depth like this is such a benefit to the community! According to Tom, it DOES matter that the teams are entered in the correct alphabetical order.
Frank I entered the teams and divisions and went to folder but no 2023 season. I loaded the 2020 teams and just renamed the file from 0 to a 3 and hit enter. However, no 2023 schedule in the folder, it looks like that would be by hand tough one, u know u can still load the two teams but it looks like no schedule will be involved I will try more this weekend, you on Delphi forums?
This is a great app. I use it and Tom's Replay SS play call card flipper when I play the full version of Second Season. Nice video, Dave. There were a couple things you showed that I didn't know how to do yet.
Dave this is a fantastic tutorial. Thank you for doing it. I'm curious, as you use this are you doing anything with pen/pencil and paper anymore or you let this app do everything?
Thanks for the excellent explanation of the helper. I had it for a few years but got frustrated trying to use it. Now I am playing a lot of apba football I decided to try again after watching your video. I think I get it now. I have entered some stats today while playing a 67 game with Cowboys vs Redskins. It is extremely well done. I see usfl helmets are in the game. Are the usfl seasons available in the helper? I have a 83 set that I started to play. Thanks again. Enjoy your day.
I don't believe USFL seasons are included -- definitely not for '83. HOWEVER... You should be able to create team rosters and schedules on your own (they're just .txt files, so Notepad is all you need). You'll need to read thru the appropriate sections of the PFH's very extensive documentation first, as roster/schedule files have very specific formatting requirements.
I made the same mistake at first. The PFH is a utility for tracking player/team/league stats at the game/season level. It looks slick enough to be a game, but it’s “just” an excellent stats tool.

Dave, have you ever tried the Manual Game Entry under Utilities? It didn’t work for me

The helper is a must. I’m using it for my 49 QD 83 season replay.
Hi Dave, great video. You wouldn't happen to know anyone doing the 2023 season and schedule?

I made too many mistakes with pen and paper so I’m using this for a pretty much everything football now
Dave, has anyone used this with season ticket?

Can you sim games with it or just replay games?
No. This is for keeping stats only. Although you can just put in final scores and keep standings.

Just a bad half for the Niners
