This is the best thing I've ever heard of this from the back of the day and I'm still listening. No matter how long it goes down but it feels so good as well as you know that you don't want to be left behind.
@DJ ALgoriddim The lady singing her beautiful version of this song is Doreen Schaeffer and not Hortense Ellis as listed. Hortense version is "Can I change my mind" like her male counterparts. Thanks though, for including Doreen's version cos I didn't know that it exist and I love it.
Keep bring it" never ever stop bring me this sweet good music. Of the days when music was something you felt in ur soul. And you remember where you ware at the time you heard that song. and who at that time you Loved.. :)
Well , inbetween you might be even 70 years on this earth. Nevertheless, never stop dancing, cause through dancing to a sweet tune keeps you alife. It is a holy energy, let it flow...yes Ijah
When trysome restaurant was in effect. this was playing while I cleaned up I was 15 and everyday was a beautiful session. on weekends they had a dancehall in the basement. I used to sneak in through a lil hole we made in the storage room. sweet memories. .....is all we have now.
Your mixes are a Massive education in the music i love. Thank you, Has bought many an hour of listening pleasure to me.....and plenty others I'd guess.
I usually tell people "Don't watch his hands, it spoils it". Except for this mix. In addition to having the largest number of beat-synced mono tracks in opposite speakers running side-by-side (Algorriddim's signature sound), he's having the best time doing this mix judging by his hands. Its very busy too- on a lot of his mixes he will leave one track running for a few minutes and you don't see his hands. Then there's a puff of smoke, and he's back at the decks. There is no skinning-up break in this 26 minute mix.
DJ Algoriddim I can usually tell from your hands when you know you just nailed a fade. My favorite moment is on the "Undying Love" riddim. Their are two mono dubs of the original studio one cut, opposite speakers, with that weird floaty drifting in and out of phase thing and the spring reverb on the two tracks EQ'd quite differently. It makes you go cross-eyed through headphones. Then halfway through the horn break you fade into "Wine of Violence" by Freddy McGreggor - the ruffest cut of the track. Dry, and in mono. It kicks ass. I always look up at the video, and your hands barely register!
I've been posting my shows up at archive . org, just search for algoriddim there. My webhost was giving me issues due to the traffic, so I had to find another solution.
