I was in his chair one day and he was always very flirty with me, he had his hands in my mouth and said, “ You know, this is one of the most intimate acts someone can do.”😳 He ended up losing pretty much everything because his co-workers and assistants (all pretty, young women) pressed charges. I was so happy.

The unfortunate reality is that even if he r@#$ed someone, those crimes just aren't prosecuted or given appropriate sentences. Harassment is even harder to prove, and really hard to get up to the level of a crime, much less something someone would prosecute. As a society, we just don't take this stuff seriously enough.
I also think it's so wrong to film people in public. I know many people say, "there's no expectation of privacy in public." Yes, but when you're at your job, while you don't expect complete privacy, you also don't expect millions of people to see you working at your job. The law shouldn't dictate our decency. It's important we CAN legally film in public to protect ourselves, but I hate this idea that because it's legal it's okay. Just because you CAN, it doesn't mean you SHOULD.

I worked in a Nissan dealership and one of the managers used to act like this. He would hit on all the women, no matter how young as long as they were legal and he ended up getting fired for asking a customer for bikini pictures. Where are these 'places that can help with this' lmao? If your insurance won't cover it.. tons of places won't even let you pay out of pocket, even if you could afford it. They have contracts with insurance companies and won't take cash in most places. If you can find a dentist that even accepts cash, then you still need to be able to afford it. Had to get a root canal and paid $1400, not including the crown it needs. This year my insurance covers molar crowns, but for the last 4 years, they haven't. So tons of places wouldnt even let me pay out of pocket without insurance, even though I could afford to. Not a single dentist anywhere cares if you don't have money or the insurance to cover it. They will pull your tooth out before doing anything to save it.

I've had customers do everything from asking me if I speak english (because I couldn't hear her properly through the drivethru speaker lmao) to literally blowing cigarette smoke into my face and everything in between. if someone just pulled up for what I expected was going to be a regular customer interaction where I hand them their drink, they pay, and then leave, but instead this fucking WEIRDO shows up with a camera telling me he's gonna "fix my teeth" I would 1000% be looking for a manager if I saw him in line again. This situation kind of happened to me except with my eyebrows and a breakout I was having on my forehead. I was working retail in a mall store and a lady from one of the “spa/hair salon” places in the mall rudely asked “So when are you going to let me fix that?” while pointing to my forehead/brow area. Literally the first interaction I’d ever had with her and I was ringing her up. I was so taken aback. I have a super cute dog and once at a brewery when I was holding her, this dude ran up to us, already filming on his phone, and started fawning over her. That's annoying and rude enough on its own, but this was also actually pretty scary for me. I don't have social media because I have an ab-sive ex who almost k-lled me, is not in prison, and is trying to find me, and this incident meant I might have to worry about him seeing this video of me if it went viral or something (which it very well could have, my dog is THAT cute, fr lol). Fortunately the brewery is hours away from where I live, but you never know with psychos like him - it could be a lead somehow. Don't film people without their consent, please. You never know what's going on with them. If the guy had just asked, he could have held her himself for that video and it would've probably been a lot more fun for him, and definitely safer for me.
I'm not sure if every McDonald's does this but the McDonald's in my town has a sign on the drivethrew windows stating that you can not film any of their employees and if you are caught doing so then they will make you leave and won't serve you. I live in a small town, so my guess is that all McDonald's have this sign but this must have been a problem or this sign wouldn't be there. I hope that more places ban filming their employees. True to form, he CAME BACK 5 MINUTES LATER to keep harassing her. When I worked at Starbucks ages ago, there was a man who would say similar things to my coworker (unsolicited advice, trying to give her gifts, offering to pay off her student loans). We eventually had to get a police escort for her, because he would camp out every day until he knew her schedule after she'd change it, and he eventually began waiting by her car.

The unfortunate reality is that even if he r@#$ed someone, those crimes just aren't prosecuted or given appropriate sentences. Harassment is even harder to prove, and really hard to get up to the level of a crime, much less something someone would prosecute. As a society, we just don't take this stuff seriously enough.

I also think it's so wrong to film people in public. I know many people say, "there's no expectation of privacy in public." Yes, but when you're at your job, while you don't expect complete privacy, you also don't expect millions of people to see you working at your job. The law shouldn't dictate our decency.
It's important we CAN legally film in public to protect ourselves, but I hate this idea that because it's legal it's okay.

I've been a server for over 20 years. My folks didn't do right and my teeth were awful. This isn't that unusual, people would make comments and it was so embarrassing. She was probably in the back crying her eyes out. I've since had mine done, but I'll never forget just how awful it felt. Poor girl.

People who have serious dental issues are putting themselves in a really vulnerable position when they seek help in fixing their smile (speaking from experience!) and he is taking full advantage of that. I worked in a Nissan dealership and one of the managers used to act like this. He would hit on all the women, no matter how young as long as they were legal and he ended up getting fired for asking a customer for bikini pictures. Some men just give off absolute "I'm a creep and I get away with it" vibes and don't realize that everyone sees through it.

Better Business Bureau, or as someone else said in this comment thread a licensing agency. If illegal activity occurred get police involved. If the company is a big franchise clinic ex: Aspen Dental, they absolutely have HR.
Yeah. What needs to happen is that people need to report him over and over. People need to file formal reports. If everyone that he's harassed and abused filed a report, he would have no license.
He's been reported and reprimanded for other things like taking his coworkers' prescription pad and getting himself narcotics... but has yet to get his license revoked. Hope it happens soon tho.

The coffee lady dealt with that sooo much better than I would've been able to. She reacted without a beat being really polite, friendly and seemingly appreciative. Then obviously told her coworkers so they were aware and diiipped out as soon as he came back around. Feel awful for her, she shouldn't have had to deal with ANY of it, but she handled it like a pro. Smart!

That is so creepy. Someone needs to report this to the Texas Dental Board. If my own dentist did that to me I would report them and quit seeing them as a patient and go somewhere else. I get that in America dental care is expensive, but there are places that can help with this. Advice to anyone who is approached by a dentist like him is to run.

Where are these 'places that can help with this' lmao? If your insurance won't cover it.. tons of places won't even let you pay out of pocket, even if you could afford it. They have contracts with insurance companies and won't take cash in most places. If you can find a dentist that even accepts cash, then you still need to be able to afford it. Had to get a root canal and paid $1400, not including the crown it needs. This year my insurance covers molar crowns, but for the last 4 years, they haven't. So tons of places wouldnt even let me pay out of pocket without insurance, even though I could afford to. Not a single dentist anywhere cares if you don't have money or the insurance to cover it. They will pull your tooth out before doing anything to save it.

listen- I've worked at starbucks and it's EXHAUSTING the things people feel entitled to when you're in customer service. I've had customers do everything from asking me if I speak english (because I couldn't hear her properly through the drivethru speaker lmao) to literally blowing cigarette smoke into my face and everything in between.

editing to add: (if you're in the US) if you're in a rough place financially or don't have dental insurance, highly recommend checking if there's a dental school in your area, they do just as good quality work cos everything is very supervised and it costs like a fourth of what it would be at a regular dentist

This situation kind of happened to me except with my eyebrows and a breakout I was having on my forehead. I was working retail in a mall store and a lady from one of the “spa/hair salon” places in the mall rudely asked “So when are you going to let me fix that?” while pointing to my forehead/brow area. Literally the first interaction I’d ever had with her and I was ringing her up. I was so taken aback. I just kind of responded with “No thanks, I’m good.” I’m glad she wasn’t a content creator who was filming me. I might have started crying

I have a super cute dog and once at a brewery when I was holding her, this dude ran up to us, already filming on his phone, and started fawning over her. That's annoying and rude enough on its own, but this was also actually pretty scary for me. I don't have social media because I have an ab-sive ex who almost k-lled me, is not in prison, and is trying to find me, and this incident meant I might have to worry about him seeing this video of me if it went viral or something (which it very well could have, my dog is THAT cute, fr lol). Fortunately the brewery is hours away from where I live, but you never know with psychos like him - it could be a lead somehow.
Don't film people without their consent, please. You never know what's going on with them. If the guy had just asked, he could have held her himself for that video and it would've probably been a lot more fun for him, and definitely safer for me.
I'm not sure if every McDonald's does this but the McDonald's in my town has a sign on the drivethrew windows stating that you can not film any of their employees and if you are caught doing so then they will make you leave and won't serve you. I live in a small town, so my guess is that all McDonald's have this sign but this must have been a problem or this sign wouldn't be there. I hope that more places ban filming their employees. These people don't get paid enough for this.

I got my braces off after two and a half years. The dentist said “well, that’s done but if you don’t fix your dead tooth all that work will be for nothing.” What was supposed to be the best day of my teenage life turned into a humiliation. I went out to the car and ugly cried. My mom wanted to go in and give him a piece of her mind, but I was so embarrassed I just wanted to go home

Having worked in customer service for over 10 years, especially in coffee, I've seen my fair share of creeps and invasive weirdos, and they all think they're the main character of the world. There's no way she believed that he was a real dentist if she didn't already know who he was, given how he acted. 100%, she took down his name and immediately showed her boss because that man gives off stalk and abduct you through the window vibes. True to form, he CAME BACK 5 MINUTES LATER to keep harassing her. When I worked at Starbucks ages ago, there was a man who would say similar things to my coworker (unsolicited advice, trying to give her gifts, offering to pay off her student loans). We eventually had to get a police escort for her, because he would camp out every day until he knew her schedule after she'd change it, and he eventually began waiting by her car.

It also sucks working for a large company because had she not been so nice in that first video, she could be fired if it went viral. I have seen corporate offices make managers fire great employees because of just one bad review.
