This podcast fr changed my life. I went from depressed and inactive, no clue where to go. Then when this podcast started I started biking every friday when it came out bc it was more attainable to commit to once a week. Eventually I loved doing it so much and looked forward to it every week, that the biking moved to twice a week, three times... now I bike everywhere everyday, and now go to the gym every second day. I have ABS for the first time in my life. Im so strong and powerful.... Since becoming more active almost every other aspect of my life has improved including mental health... thank u guys so much this isnt even a joke 💗 u made me so sexy

i just wanted to say that i had such an awful thing happen to me friday night when this episode came out and i spent all of saturday crying my eyes out but i woke up today and remembered the episode was out so i listened on spotify. i usually listen there first and watch the video if i have time and i wanted to come here and say yall really be making my week. ik its just a parasocial bond i have with you two but the way you guys just made my day so much lighter and gave me strength to put past what happened to me is actually so heartfelt 💕💕 yall unironically saved my life 😫😫
I started listening to this podcast since they started with it and I loved it, so I decided to talk about it in my therapy to which my psychologist told me that I should stay away from you guys because it hurt me mentally, after a few months I forgot about it and my life began to improve, so much so that I stopped going to therapy. Today July 25, 2022 I decided to see what was new on the podcast, I listened to this whole episode, and now my life is a piece of shit again thanks Drew and Enya.
Them talking about old people made me think of this story that is one of those memories that is forever burned into your brain: One time when I was in high school I was walking right in front of an entrance to a grocery store when an old lady, pushing at least 90 years old, body bout to disintegrate sorta thing, tripped and fell like a fucking STICK, like arms to her side and everything, and face planted into the sidewalk and laid there. I was in such shock I just stood there like a fucking idiot motionless just staring at her. Someone ended up helping her and turned out she broke her nose. This is one of those memories that is so humiliating and embarrassing and haunts me in my subconscious.
not the same but i saw an old lady leave a grocery store just at dusk and i guess she was sundowning? like, just starting to have her mind slip, she's normal all day but once that sun goes down, dementia starts hitting her. it's common enough. she loaded her groceries in the SUV, but left her cart in front of the SUV and just started driving. It was tall enough that the cart got jammed under her bumper so she was driving around with this cart jammed under there, and she was like, not going fast because of how the cart was digging into the pavement. People were all around trying to wave her down and make her stop and she just did a few loops around the parking lot, either oblivious or scared of the reaction she was getting.. Finally stopped and luckily a nice person spoke calmly to her and was like listen Miss, you really need to get someone down her to drive you home if you can, you aint in any shape to be driving in this city
