This is what actually stopped me from speeding. My commute is on an a busy A-road just like that one. When you grow up you soon realise overtaking on such a busy road is pointless. Because if overtake one hgv you’re still stuck behind 50 more in an endless line of traffic congestion, so you’re never going to get to your destination any quicker. It takes as long as it takes and out your hands. And you’re right, what can I do with those 10 seconds? It makes no difference to me.

I was about to enter a roundabout the other day, going straight on, when a car entered the roundabout from the entrance to my left just before I got to it. I was going to accelerate as hard as I could with my horn blaring and try to crash into the side of him, but then I remembered I don't own a dashcam, and so everything was fine.
A lot of drivers seem to have got it in their head that you only need to glance to the right and if it's clear you can treat the roundabout as normal road, ignoring the road markings. That's not how it works.....

Happy Sunday, everyone! Went on a cruise to the Med last week (45 minute delay flying TO the ship and 8 and 1/2 hour delay flying FROM the ship). However, I did my favourite task in work today (date-checking bread and cakes in retail), got chicken burger and salad for tea and got a new UKDC compilation to watch! Life's good! 🙂

Lawnrollers wrapped in worn out budget tyres and a windscreen that became useless as soon as a decent amount of water landed on it were the problem here.

I was about to enter a roundabout the other day, going straight on, when a car entered the roundabout from the entrance to my left just before I got to it. I was going to accelerate as hard as I could with my horn blaring and try to crash into the side of him, but then I remembered I don't own a dashcam, and so everything was fine.

A lot of drivers seem to have got it in their head that you only need to glance to the right and if it's clear you can treat the roundabout as normal road, ignoring the road markings. That's not how it works.....

We all do stupid things eventually, I was so tired after a night shift I just stood there with the foot on the accelerator until I was doing 160km in an industrial area (that thankfully was all a straight line with branching roads)
my eyes just shut and I just came back from the daze like a km later
I even took down an old stop sign once when almost sleeping that was barely standing (and lost the front right blinker)

7:30 Shaun for COTW this week for me, not for anything driving related but for not having the decency to go and tell the owner and delay an entire lane of traffic blocked by the van for longer than necessary, selfish prick even got asked if they should tell someone and he said no.
Also special shout out to 8:30 "That intimidation will get you killed, you don't fucking intimidate drivers" while legitimately screaming like a hormonal teenager at another driver because of how they were driving.....
But he's a famous footballer - they are allowed to shout and scream at plebs.
RE : the runaway van - I totally agree, would've taken all of 15 seconds to pull in and driver or passenger pop into the kiosk - the van driver could've been ages getting a hot drink etc completely unaware their van was causing a hazard and obstruction!

@Konzy don't be impressed by his "size" he isn't all that really, and I've seen far bigger guys who couldn't handle themselves in a fight, besides you just need someone who is unhinged to come at him with a knife or a weapon and doesn't matter if he's a big chap. However I get your point big guys can look intimidating and for the average Joe can be frightening.
