As a multi main, most of the ranking are pretty accurate and I'm not even gonna fight about anything. I've been so long didn't main Shuriken since I was focusing to improve my skills on Slingshot and Subspace. Honestly, when I first play phighting, Shuriken is the only thing i always pick and now, they're insanely good. I got 14 kills last round and it's honestly amazing.
Yea. Normally rapid fire Phighters are super good, specially if they reload rapidly too. I main Subspace and Slingshot for now, and they're good for someone bad at the game like me 😭 Don't reccomend using Sub in a 2v2, tho
As a Hyperlaser main myself, the reason hes become a “sit and shoot” class is because thats how he was designed to be played. While you can play him close ranged, his E takes 3-4 seconds to activate and by then you’re already bombarded by the other team. Not to mention there are other classes that can easily kill Hyper on high places (Biograft, Slingshot, Shuriken, etc). Hyperlaser is such a weird class to defend cause while his mobility and getaway are sometimes what bring him down, his ult, Q, and m2 are his main strength’s imo.
I get hyperlaser is supposed to be a sniper, but they get punished depending on the map they play. (If there's no cliffs to abuse). So it's either too strong or too weak, especially with the extremely bad endlag when you shoot. So it's either camp, or die, which makes the class very hard to approach with all the AOE and damage on its kit. Other classes could counter hyperlaser, but they can only get to them if they sneak through the opposing team's defenses. They should just make Hyper faster and make it rely less on cliffs spots. Hyperlaser is supposed to be a sniper, but it makes it completely unplayable in some cases when there's not a cliff in sight. It'd probably be better if Hyperlaser could snipe on flat ground, but it's so unnecessarily slow that it gets shredded by all the classes you just listed. It is a very weird class honestly.

While it is mainly focused on aim and timing, the fact that you can shoot into a crowd of enemy players and are guaranteed kills is actually insane to fathom. Hes kinda like Katana (somewhat) Katana’s shield is huge making him a literal tank but his damage was nerfed due to how broken he was. With Hyperlaser, they had to compensate for his insane damage with his speed making him vulnerable to close ranged battles and getaways.
@bornweird8093 just to give you an idea on how slow hyperlaser is, before his e was reworked to voltaic phase the devs reduced its endlag to .2 seconds and removed the self wireframe since they intended to give a little gap to immediately counterattack, but I am pretty sure literally nobody did this because of how awful the endlag of firing is. His ult has a right to be slow, but not the rest of his kit. If you aren't playing a class that can flank him he is hell. If you are he is a free kill.

Dude this is a huge improvement from 4 months! I can't believe how much better your videos have progressed. Hi, it's me, that on guy that left a huge ass article in your original tier list. I just wanted to say I'm super happy with what you did with the video and taking some community suggestions. Last time a lot of the complaints I had were removed for this video and it is VERY accurate (except for skateboards he is still very annoying)
Wanted to rank skate higher. He was originally going to be place in A tier, but the balance forum said otherwise. I didn't move him up because A tier would be too cluttered.
Now that Banhammer has been added, I'd say that he's the most broken class in the right hands. A good Banhammer main can not only hunt down practically any class, they can consistently keep their shield AT OVER 200, which pretty much turns them into a miniboss.
Its OP and all until i show up, Hyperlaser. In mid to long range you are screwed as Banhammer, due to Hypers large burst damage on top of a one shot Phinisher. Also using E against Hypers phinisher is a death sentence, since he can kill you very easily because of your lacking mobility.
@@Hyperlaser_Merc That is if there's no one helping Banhammer. Because if you're playing Hyperlaser, you should already be familiar with Swords, Boomboxes and Katanas having tunnel vision on you. Now add Banhammer on top of that.

As a Medkit main I think he was more fun before the rework, too. Comparable to a long range Medic (TF2) but in a game with higher DPS and less healing. It was awesome to use Q to send your foes into space and save your teammates in the same move, to teleport out of danger at the last moment, and just the satisfaction of good crystal placement paying off. They should've just buffed his healing amount. He's still fun, but less in my opinion.
I really dont understand why skateboard is so incredibly low ranked on this list, 1 : When skateboard is properly played, his damage output can be so utterly fast its almost impossible to keep up without an offboarder to stop them 2: Skateboard has probably has the best flexibility in this game, 1 mode to shred opponents and make them unable to keep up with, and a second one to help asassinate backlines or slow characters And an ultimate that can provide tons of time for hyperlaser ults to properly hit or keep them in a tough scenario I think skate should be atleast bottom of S or top of A, being worse than hyperlaser is stupid
It's mainly the momentum nerfs, but people ranked skate low, i didn't have a say in it really. I thought about moving Skate higher but people insisted.

For all of y'all talking about characters getting buffed... PLEASE JUST READ THE DATE AND PATCH NOTES SINCE THIS VIDEO, AIDN CHANGES THIS GAME EVERY DAY. Phighting gets like 30 balance patches a month this video isn't as accurate as before, but it's still close to what it is now. Don't expect an tier list to ALWAYS have the same rankings.
as a vine main her ultimate isnt all that trashy since its good as a preemptive measure since her moveset cannot always guarantee regeneration to all allies her ultimate can just heal everyone up and can keep them healed for a relatively long time her stuffs arent instant but shes better at keeping ALL allies alive longer than pocket-healing an ally and in her defense, she has zero mobility but most of her abilities have REALLY far range (id say her range rivals that of most ranged classes), unlike medkit so shes able to support from afar unlike other supports and be relatively safe id say vine could be a solid B or A due to her ability to mass heal unlike medkit which focuses more on singular target healing tl;dr : shes a great mass healer and a safeguarder but isnt that good at supporting quickly
as a long time katana main that plays on pro servers, he's not that bad; only sling can actually really escape katana (as ranged) Shuri's grapple stops when he gets hit and katana's markers easily show which shuriken is real, also with the big aoe you can kill the shuri and his clone in a couple swoops due to his low health. hypers are screwed if you catch up to them, no competition if you actually know how to brute force your way through knockback. Rocket has an even worse case than hyper, if he uses his Q just grapple him back and it's over. The trick is NOT grappling them immediately and just sneaking/catching up to them. Sling can also be caught up to if your timing is right, if you catch up to him you can pressure the sling to use their e and immediately grapple them back, and also slings tend to use an ability immediately after dashing so using your block after grappling them (when you see them do the special animation of course) and you can get 4-5 stacks off of their abilities. Plus katana is the true counter to cliff camping. For melees most of them are a no brainer, the only one i would look out for is a skilled bio due to their teleportation and high speeds, sword is really easy to 1v1 and is basically just a skill check. Skate is a joke if you hit the grapple, or you can hit him twice with your m1 and then use your m2 to knock him off, and if he uses the offboard m2 just block it and it's over for them. (pay heavy attention to them to see if they are spinning their board) Katana duels are simple, just a test of who would block last, one thing i recommend is when your phinisher is ready bait out their block and then ult. I shouldnt have to talk about the supports other than that they are easy to kill and get a ton of shield off of them. For self sustain, NEVER start with m2, there's a chance you will miss one of your m1s and wont get that shield gain from the passive activating, also always try to hit multiple people at once and use m2 to kill. Also another thing i would like to mention is that he is the anti-ult class, here is what to do to ults; sword: pull him into his ult and then block at the right time to hit the sword with the counter before he flies away skate: grab him as soon as you see him do the ult to knock him off, but dont do it if your inside the stun range or have fun getting m2'd bio: when they start mauling you block and then you can usually pull off 5 stacks katana: just E near them, but if you're the one ulting immediately E after your ult if you are being attacked during the ult start up or if you see a katana nearby rocket: same thing as sword sling: get right up into their face and if they ult you can pull off 5 stacks, but dont do it if you have 50- health or you will die hyper: target them and when they start their ult fire grapple them right before they fire since it will stop their chargup and then try to kill them shuri: e near them and try to hit them, but their ult encourages close range play so just kill them at that point medkit: pray to god they die boombox: same as medkit but e before they hit the ground and then just feed off of your passive shield gain, if you are far enough from your team or on a pedestal that's above most players grapple the boombox to you so their ult becomes almost useless subspace: samething as med but only do it if there are other people attacking him or if he has 100- health, q him if you get stuck in his ult vine: just finish her off lol she has no movement abilities
fr as long as u know what ur doing katana is busted his counter, just counters most melee classes and his grapple counters most ranged classes and if u get desperate and the ranged keeps going out of ur grapple range just play like roadhog from overwatch and hide behind walls and poke out of nowhere with the grapple, i kept getting so many ranged characters with that
Banhammer: Run from them if you suspect they have ult/have seen them land ult recently AND your below 50%. Banhammer's ult is literally Hyperlaser's but remove chargeup/aim.
When I saw shuriken in development, I immediately knew he'd be fun and annoying. I wanted to main him as soon as he released. He wasn't the greatest at release, but he slowly got better and I could go 10/0 with him. And then he got antiheal... Able to block medkit ults. Able to shutdown anyone he sees. The backshots from the m1 weren't needed either. but i mean hey i won't complain if i can get better scores with him
Most of my mvp games came from the top three in your tier. (Aside from Slingshot which I get around 11-15 kills) My highest Medkit kill count is 16 while somehow keeping my team alive, my highest Sword kill count is 20(with 0 deaths albeit I was supported by a Medkit that healed occasionally) and my highest kill count with Shuri is 17. I gotta say that I’m more consistent with Shuri though. I average around 13-15 kills a game with him. I feel like the best part about him is how two of his skills(if casted correctly) can get you out of a losing fight immediately.
in my opinion reworked medkit is so much more fun to play mainly because i love revolvers i think its really fun to switch from healing to attacking while having to manage your whole team
As a newer hyperlaser main, I play hyperlaser more aggressively on the front lines. This does get me killed a few times but it really boosts up my kill/assist count. And it's much more fun to play as hyperlaser like this for me.
Literally the first time I played, which was today, I fell in love with shuriken. In literally any fighting game im all about mobility, so thats how I play, like if I were to play tf2, I'd pick scout any day. If shuriken is taken, ill pick slingshot coz I just like ranged classes in general. I find them the most fun
@@AphasonicTV i don’t know what a endlag is but if it IS what i think it is, then pretty much all you need to do is only use m2 from far away, not up close
fighting katana is like a dps check if you are a melee that can out dps him like sword katana is good as dead but if your a support or range you most likely die
ban hammer: A tier, it has good health, good damage, good speed with his leap attack, but gets destroyed by any fast character that can do alot of damage like biograft because hes so slow.
Ironic how 3 classes that i dont like playing as are best classes (i can play shuriken decently but he feels underwhelming. Im not destined to be healer either, as all my teammates try their best to leave me in a 4v1. And sword feels hard to land hits with until the ult (and no, E doesnt does its job in my case)).
You know when i first played Phighting i used katana cause i thought he looked awesome. I still am but after watching this video it just hurts me. Like no hate or anything but can we just accept Katana for a moment? I had amazing time fighting with the class i just hope a katana buff gets added cause now i feel like im gonna try other classes for now until Katana buff. Any reccomendations?
The only one I disagree with a bit is slingshot. While it does have endlag and some moves make it stand still, it compensates for that with its passive and mobility options. The speed gained after an ability is used and his E dash make it really easy to dodge other ranged attacks and escape from any melee threats (except a good biograft). Sling also has a combo that potentially does 90 damage max if you hit someone with the M2 and then Q spreadshot. They get stunned and then if you are close enough, you can hit every pellet with the Q. I consider slingshot just a more mobile hyperlaser since a fully charged slingshot M1 deals the same damage as a bodyshot from hyper and slingshot's M2 stuns AND does 40 damage. The only thing hyper has over slingshot is the teleport which cant even be used to escape melee threats.
I actually used to main hyper before the changes to his E ability and i honestly miss that bc I could actually play closer to the actual action instead of being across the entire map
Yeah I'm a katana main and Aldo I'm not level 100 the counter for him is ranged class I get over this counter by making ranged classes use there mobility ability and then grapple them this is tricky cuz you got to start the fight in melee range but I manage.
as a boombox main, boombox should atleast be bottom of S tier, i soloed an entire team with him (now that i think about it i am low level so ig i play low level servers)
Sling main here, sling is the only phighter I'm good at. I can say, the tier with sling is understandable. Worst enemy is skateboard, 100%. I am jumped by all skateboards.
i dont really see how shuriken is threatening from my experience as a ban hammer main who also mains katana i usually take a chunk of health from them since the opposing team would just attack me yeah ik about the date thing and all so i dont know if anything happened to shuriken but this was just my experience when opposed to them but tbh i feel like i just havent seen a very good shuriken yet
as a katana main, slingshot main and shuriken main, i did not have much problems but i see that most people have problems with the katana and slingshot placement and tbh the katana placement is right, if im playing against people who won't come near me then it's just a bad class and meanwhile i do get over 8 kills with katana when im playing with people who know how to play the game, katana just sucks but hes fun so that's why i use him. For the slingshot placement i slightly disagree because the endlag is there and you can hit them mid air, when you know when to use moves that makes you frozen then it can be better than b tier, its really only bad when youre the one getting targeted. Like another one is if youre playing with a glod team then slingshot is just great but you can't really make slingshot on a higher tier so that's why i only slightly disagree. edit: since i do main shuriken i just wanna say shuriken deserves his place. Now that im a multimain i dont get to use him much (i suck with him more now) but i still get around 5-10+ kills but with the nerfs idk how i feel about his speed anymore
I have recently started to play this amazing game, but the class I perform the best with is vine staff. Should I main vine staff or try switching to another character?

katana being c is so sad i say we give him 500 more health and the ability to explode the entire map and kill everyone including his team mates when he dies as a passive
I've been recently playing every class to practice them. I agree with most of these placements. Sling should be higher, imo. My lord, it's ironic you put Shuri as the best class even though he got nerfed just yesterday. You're right about the bugger because if he's played right, then he's a downright menace
Shuri got nerfed right after this video uploaded lol. And sling just fell behind. It got minimal changes, and the endlag makes you an easy kills. In pro servers Slingshot can be good, but only if you hide or flank, but Shuri can do taht 10X better, with about the same dmg, bhop spam. Sling and Shuri is NOT a competition.
as i biograft main, i personnaly thing it should be given a small buff to its dmg and range then i'd be happy personaly all of the classes in S teir i hate playing as Medkit bc its so boring and annoying to do. im not a support player and man do i not like shuriken 1st i dont like ranged classes. i prefer melee,2nd shuriken... Its just ninja but ranged can we just agree on that? and 3rd thats it. the only one if you asked me to play a S teir character would be sword since overall hes a jack of all trades except his damage is not mid and is really good.
Katana? Weakest class? For me katana is cracked and really good, maybe u just have less skill on the class, nothing is bad, u just need skill on it. Just my opinion
Katana requires no skill, and it's only good against new players. If you play pro servers then you should know what I'm talking about. Also this video was made before katana buffs.

Yeah as a shuriken main i get 23 assists, 5 kills and 2.7k dmg every once in a while

katana: just E near them, but if you're the one ulting immediately E after your ult if you are being attacked during the ult start up or if you see a katana nearby
rocket: same thing as sword
sling: get right up into their face and if they ult you can pull off 5 stacks, but dont do it if you have 50- health or you will die
hyper: target them and when they start their ult fire grapple them right before they fire since it will stop their chargup and then try to kill them
shuri: e near them and try to hit them, but their ult encourages close range play so just kill them at that point
medkit: pray to god they die
boombox: same as medkit but e before they hit the ground and then just feed off of your passive shield gain, if you are far enough from your team or on a pedestal that's above most players grapple the boombox to you so their ult becomes almost useless
subspace: samething as med but only do it if there are other people attacking him or if he has 100- health, q him if you get stuck in his ult
vine: just finish her off lol she has no movement abilities
i absolutely agree with this, katana is my favorite character and hes so fun to play
Tip for katanas getting bullied by range: please don't walk in a straight line towards the hyperlaser who escaped you using their q
fr as long as u know what ur doing katana is busted his counter, just counters most melee classes and his grapple counters most ranged classes and if u get desperate and the ranged keeps going out of ur grapple range just play like roadhog from overwatch and hide behind walls and poke out of nowhere with the grapple, i kept getting so many ranged characters with that
Banhammer: Run from them if you suspect they have ult/have seen them land ult recently AND your below 50%.
Banhammer's ult is literally Hyperlaser's but remove chargeup/aim.

When I saw shuriken in development, I immediately knew he'd be fun and annoying. I wanted to main him as soon as he released.
He wasn't the greatest at release, but he slowly got better and I could go 10/0 with him. And then he got antiheal...
Able to block medkit ults. Able to shutdown anyone he sees. The backshots from the m1 weren't needed either.

Most of my mvp games came from the top three in your tier. (Aside from Slingshot which I get around 11-15 kills) My highest Medkit kill count is 16 while somehow keeping my team alive, my highest Sword kill count is 20(with 0 deaths albeit I was supported by a Medkit that healed occasionally) and my highest kill count with Shuri is 17. I gotta say that I’m more consistent with Shuri though. I average around 13-15 kills a game with him. I feel like the best part about him is how two of his skills(if casted correctly) can get you out of a losing fight immediately.
in my opinion reworked medkit is so much more fun to play mainly because i love revolvers i think its really fun to switch from healing to attacking while having to manage your whole team
i always called hyper the "duck hunt" character bc it feels like ur playing a game of duck hunt but the ducks can fight back sometimes
As a newer hyperlaser main, I play hyperlaser more aggressively on the front lines. This does get me killed a few times but it really boosts up my kill/assist count. And it's much more fun to play as hyperlaser like this for me.
Using Hyperlaser as a frontliner is stupid yet very fun and effective. I once got a 19/0/12 K/D/A as a frontliner with Hyperlaser.
As a vine staff main, yeah. Her range is pretty good though, so thats something i enjoy.

Literally the first time I played, which was today, I fell in love with shuriken. In literally any fighting game im all about mobility, so thats how I play, like if I were to play tf2, I'd pick scout any day. If shuriken is taken, ill pick slingshot coz I just like ranged classes in general. I find them the most fun

i can’t really describe how i play slingshot, but essentially if you have good enough aim and know how to dodge well, you turn into an absolute god
endlag is endlag. Slingshot is just solid, but most of the classes above him are overpowered to the point where sling's upsides don't matter.
@@AphasonicTV i don’t know what a endlag is but if it IS what i think it is, then pretty much all you need to do is only use m2 from far away, not up close

ban hammer: A tier, it has good health, good damage, good speed with his leap attack, but gets destroyed by any fast character that can do alot of damage like biograft because hes so slow.
Ironic how 3 classes that i dont like playing as are best classes (i can play shuriken decently but he feels underwhelming. Im not destined to be healer either, as all my teammates try their best to leave me in a 4v1. And sword feels hard to land hits with until the ult (and no, E doesnt does its job in my case)).
You know when i first played Phighting i used katana cause i thought he looked awesome. I still am but after watching this video it just hurts me. Like no hate or anything but can we just accept Katana for a moment? I had amazing time fighting with the class i just hope a katana buff gets added cause now i feel like im gonna try other classes for now until Katana buff. Any reccomendations?

The only one I disagree with a bit is slingshot. While it does have endlag and some moves make it stand still, it compensates for that with its passive and mobility options. The speed gained after an ability is used and his E dash make it really easy to dodge other ranged attacks and escape from any melee threats (except a good biograft). Sling also has a combo that potentially does 90 damage max if you hit someone with the M2 and then Q spreadshot. They get stunned and then if you are close enough, you can hit every pellet with the Q. I consider slingshot just a more mobile hyperlaser since a fully charged slingshot M1 deals the same damage as a bodyshot from hyper and slingshot's M2 stuns AND does 40 damage. The only thing hyper has over slingshot is the teleport which cant even be used to escape melee threats.
I actually used to main hyper before the changes to his E ability and i honestly miss that bc I could actually play closer to the actual action instead of being across the entire map
Yeah I agree with Sling being strong, but a lot of classes just got buffed, so it fell behind. I can't move sling up because of that.

Yeah I'm a katana main and Aldo I'm not level 100 the counter for him is ranged class I get over this counter by making ranged classes use there mobility ability and then grapple them this is tricky cuz you got to start the fight in melee range but I manage.

Sling main here, sling is the only phighter I'm good at. I can say, the tier with sling is understandable. Worst enemy is skateboard, 100%. I am jumped by all skateboards.
i dont really see how shuriken is threatening from my experience as a ban hammer main who also mains katana i usually take a chunk of health from them since the opposing team would just attack me yeah ik about the date thing and all so i dont know if anything happened to shuriken but this was just my experience when opposed to them but tbh i feel like i just havent seen a very good shuriken yet
as a katana main, slingshot main and shuriken main, i did not have much problems but i see that most people have problems with the katana and slingshot placement and tbh the katana placement is right, if im playing against people who won't come near me then it's just a bad class and meanwhile i do get over 8 kills with katana when im playing with people who know how to play the game, katana just sucks but hes fun so that's why i use him. For the slingshot placement i slightly disagree because the endlag is there and you can hit them mid air, when you know when to use moves that makes you frozen then it can be better than b tier, its really only bad when youre the one getting targeted. Like another one is if youre playing with a glod team then slingshot is just great but you can't really make slingshot on a higher tier so that's why i only slightly disagree.
edit: since i do main shuriken i just wanna say shuriken deserves his place. Now that im a multimain i dont get to use him much (i suck with him more now) but i still get around 5-10+ kills but with the nerfs idk how i feel about his speed anymore

I've been recently playing every class to practice them. I agree with most of these placements. Sling should be higher, imo. My lord, it's ironic you put Shuri as the best class even though he got nerfed just yesterday. You're right about the bugger because if he's played right, then he's a downright menace
Shuri got nerfed right after this video uploaded lol. And sling just fell behind. It got minimal changes, and the endlag makes you an easy kills. In pro servers Slingshot can be good, but only if you hide or flank, but Shuri can do taht 10X better, with about the same dmg, bhop spam. Sling and Shuri is NOT a competition.
