I used to work for icon in Vacaville CA when they were still being made there. I was part of the first big company layoff. Still such a cool aircraft idea. Sucks things were tan so poorly.

I was watching this company for a while and requested info when it was first announced. It was supposed to cost $159k, by the time they started delivering at any kind of quantity the price was $389k. I went to visit them at their factory/HQ in Vacaville. This company is dying.
It's sad cuz I really like these planes but unfortunately they are starting to price themselves out of the market those people that are looking for those style planes it was a really cool idea to have a plane that could also be towed behind a car land on a Runway land on water they're very cool concept I hope they can get the company together and make something of it
It's funny that these are built in Vacaville couple hours from where I live but when I've seen most of the advertisements and stuff for these planes are flying around Florida or the Bahamas you think they might want to change their base of operation

I hate it when TH-camrs are putting this "feel good" music and destroy a otherwise good video clip.
Whether we are in a dining room, sports bar, golf course, or cockpit, YOUR music need not be heard by ME! That noise ruined the vid.

Overpriced and barely useful. They will be out of business and a distant memory. Only for people with more money than sense. Can buy 2 brand new light sport aircraft for the ridiculous price of this product.
Hello. Tell me what 2 aircraft can be bought at the price of A5?
@vigov2012 I could buy a seamax amphibious for 190,000 and I could buy a number of light sport aircraft, like the aeropilot L600 legend for 160,000 fully loaded or the Vashon ranger for 140,000. Too many to list here. The icon is way too expensive and has too many other seaplane that match its design and sell for half. The ICON is almost 400,000.
