For that bus to get its average speed to approx.113kmph inspite of braking 11 times and slowing down till 100kmph he has undoubtedly pushed it till 140kmph !! a few times as shown in this video. Forget about the camera zooming and all,the innova is perfect(no speedo errors),shivneri is awesome and flawlessly shows true power of a volvo.!! Great video Tandel baba !!!.

Already Sagar has partially tried to explain.I will explain this in different comments as characters are limited to 500. Firstly,the distance from the toll plaza till the end of expressway board and the completion of the curving road there, is 11.3 kms as per Google maps.May be its few metres more too in reality.Lets take it as 11.3 kms .

its amazing, in europe, the buses are limited to 110 KPH, due to safety reasons, in India where its even more important to keep the speed in limit, its unlimited!
The B7R is capable of just over 165kmh flat out. Clearly the mechanical speed limiter wasn't working on it, and the bonnet being open, well...a B10M will easily top 170k with the limiter switched out.
after passing talegaon toll plaza at 1:30 that guy constantly moving with 140 till the express way end at dehuroad whereas he drove 16 km approx in 7 minutes.. but it will take more 30 to 40 minutes to reach final destination (pune station) for only 19 kms. If you want to check the shivneris best speed i recommend catch the first ride of pune dadar volvo in the morning 5.30... she will take u at dadar TT nearly at 8.15 if we didnt get signals from vashi by taking 10 minutes hault

Agree.Shivneri Drivers are really good at driving. I have hardly heard or read or watched on news that a Shivneri Volvo met with an accident.Its somewhere 1 in 100. On the other hand,we have Neetas,Konduskars ending up in accidents quite often.

The D7E engine produces 290 hp with 1200 Nm of torque between 1050 and 1650 r/min which can carry 56 passenger with their luggage at speeds of around 140-150!!!!!! Dats just basic!!!!!!!! There are many other advance technology used which are still difficult to find even in modern road cars!!!!!!!

The bus leaves toll plaza at exactly 1:28 and reaches the end point as I have mentioned above at exactly 7:36.So thats 6 mins 08 secs. In this whole stretch the bus applies brakes exactly 11 times with the 2nd,3rd, 10th and 11th braking being a bit prolonged.Obviously the speed would have come down till atleast 100 kmph(or even lesser) and at times he has kept it at 120kmph.Apart from this he has slowed a bit at curves bringing it down to 110-130 again
that bus driver should have shown indicator while changing lanes he should learn this basic rules , but he was also good driving at 140 but ppl should now start following rules like speed limit to avoid accidents in this video the max speed limit was 80km/hr at 0:43 speeds exceed too much on mum-banglore highway . i travel regulrly from pune to kolhapur theses big cars like innova tavera..........etc & buses are never below 100kmph & this is main reason for the accidents

The bus is below 100. At 3:32 it overtook a Normal Non Ac India made bus and relative speed of volvo and that bus was very less.. And Indian manufactured buses can't go beyond 80kmph so volvo was at approx 100kmph
just awesome. nowadays shivneri buses are locked at 80 kmph. I dont know but a bus overtaking car is a great feeling which i feel. i realy feel shivneri buses should be locked at 100 kmph or even 110. 80 is too less and they take more time too.

This looks like a BLR 7 model (not multi axle) .My bro works for volvo and the company claimed top speed of the aforesaid model in 108KMPH. When your speedo shows 140kmph, it does not look so whe we see the relative backward movement of the objects and the opposite traffic.. but good video !!!

MSRTC has unlocked the speedometer of their all types of buses..so Asiad buses (previously painted with green & white now in purple & white) also goes near about 110 on express highway...no doubt this Volvo i mean this blue color goes 130 to 135 max

I have seen 120 kmph many times. When the bus covers 2 km milestones in exactly 1 min, it's 120 kmph. That was in 2011. Recently I saw 110 as max speed.
and also iam a big fan of volvo buses.I am mad at volvos mainly in city buses. You please tell me what is the top speed of volvo city buses[8700]65 or 70, as it has 6-speed automatic transmission and it it overtakes all ashok leyland and tata city buses in its starting pickup itself.
Sorry for a really late answer. But the city buses are restricted at 80kmph. Some older buses were restricted at 100kmph they have a sticker near the driver console!!!!

Its not wagon r .......its toyota innova 2.5 diesel ..........nice vid .....but doing 140 in a diesel car is bad for the engine you will probably see black smoke coming out from exhaust soon when u accelerate your diesel ........diesel engines are designed for economy not for high speed bus chases.

my dad works for MSRTC all shivneri are speed locked and can't run above 85kmph

speedo error is minimal in toyota cars
its called natural cooling, Volvo is not made for 40+ Celsius, so they need to open the cover for better wind cooling.
speedometer error will be there, but i have tested speed on my GPS. top speed of volvo bus was 138 kmph. satellites can't be wrong.
I went to Quebec city with Orleans Express and the coach was covered at 108 km/h.

This video is from 2010- 2011 when shivneri buses did not have speed lock. The speedo is correct. The speed restrictions were introduced in 2013.

KSRTC B9R are limited to 100kmph!!!! Some Old low floors were limited to 80kmph now even they come with 100!!!!
