- Rated as "Expert", Currant Pass is one of the famous trails within the Walker Valley ORV riding area. It's known for the large rock formation riders have to navigate up and over, which is the main reason why this trail gets the "Expert" rating. #walkervalley #tx300i
I found this video thinking “that’s really close to me, gonna rip through that” only to find that this walker valley is in Cali, not NY😭
i rode the wet duck last year and this place is brutal
For those interested in checking out this trail, I highly recommend going down it first. Going down changes the difficulty from Expert to Intermediate very quickly. It comes out at the very top of the south side entrance to Humps and Bumps where the road is closed.
Also, when navigating the rocky section be VERY careful! You do not want your bike to fall down to the right when going up! Camera doesn't do justice to how steep or far of a drop that is and it's 100% rock. That is a terrible place for injuries and bike damage!

I learned how to ride at walker on a drz400s, not the ideal machine. I did much better when i got my kdx200 with a trials rear tire. Light weight is king at that place.
I used to have a DRZ as well! No, not the best bike for Walker!

I went up it on a 14 kx450 I've turned into a woods bike. It's still challenging but I pulled it off

The "V rut" was the signature feature of this trail! Came across so many riders stuck there, myself included.

Currants Pass is in no way "expert" rated. If you want to see "expert rated"...stop on the trail at 1:50 and look to your left. That hill has been climbed by a few riders on our crew. THAT is expert.
No way. You know people that have climbed that? They must be the best riders ever.
