Even though Howard and Bernadette are my least favorite main couple from the show I admit I find them funnier than Leonard and Penny
Well, Leonard and Penny are the straight laced couple, tends to make them the less funny couple.

I've seen this episode so many times over the years and I still don't know why Bernadette gets mad at Howard when she goes to get the butter for him even though Howard said he's fine without it
She's mad because she thinks he still wants it but doesn't want to inconvenience her. So in her mind she feels bad for not having gotten it in the first place. Then is mad at him because of it. Welcome to the brain of a woman. And yes I am one 😂

Howard is a poor and unlucky guy that he married a witch!
He doesn't think of her as a witch. He still loves and considers himself lucky that he married her.
She's the perfect wife for his character. He was raised by an overprotective, do everything for him mom. He also never tried to escape the situation to become a self sufficient man. This shows that his character had already peaked in terms of maturity level, and that he never would have left his mother's house, without a wife that could/would take over the rein's from his mother.
