    Recommend slowing down the transition time between sections. They are passing by a bit too quickly. Of course, people could pause the video, but a better/more comfortable viewing experience is _always_ preferable to viewers having to pause a presentation. Otherwise, informative video! 👍😎 Take care! 🙂☮️

      @abhilashnephropocus1297  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Imaging studies should not be interpreted in isolation. If your doctor thinks there is no kidney problem, nothing else needs to be done. Kidneys get bright with age also.

    Sir....my dad age is 62....his egfr was 59 he is diabetic and bp patient.....we had done endoscopy and took hpylori tablets which is totally 17 tablets (included diabetic medicine) within 7 day dad had swelling in his foot and doc suggested to do ultrasound ....in ultrasound it showed increased renal cortical echoes seen in both kidneys.....but before 2 months it was normal....doctor said that it is not kidney failure he said jus to maintain his bp and sugar under control.....can u pls explain me sir...becoz i'm soo much worries.....will the renal echoes reversed with diet?!!!

    • @abhilashnephropocus1297
      @abhilashnephropocus1297  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ultrasound interpretation is subjective, which means, minor differences can be seen in the report depending on the technician who is performing the scan and the radiologist who is reporting. In your case, eGFR should be monitored by a qualified nephrologist/general physician, not ultrasound. Echogenicity on the ultrasound has no direct relation with swelling in the feet. Appropriate blood and urine tests will be ordered by the physician. Hope this helps.

    • @abhilashnephropocus1297

      Likely nothing but depends on why the doctor ordered ultrasound in the first place. Some changes can be temporary, especially in children.

      @abhilashnephropocus1297  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think I understood it well (language used to describe findings can vary slightly depending on where you are from). Doesn't really sound abnormal but you need to talk to the doctor who ordered this test.

    Hi i've been diagnosed by my radiologist of "bilateral mild diffuse renal parenchymal disease" because of slightly increased echogenicity. However, when the ultrasound results were showed to my nephro he says it's all normal since my blood and urine results were normal and that I have no CKD. I don't know who to believe. Do i have CKD?

    • @abhilashnephropocus1297
      @abhilashnephropocus1297  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      CKD is primarily a lab-based diagnosis. Echogenicity on ultrasound is often mis/over interpreted.

    My father has raised left renal cortical echogenecity
    He has creatinine level 1.8,urea 43
    Fbs 85
    Bp 135/70
    How critical his condition
    In what stage of CKD he is

    • @abhilashnephropocus1297
      @abhilashnephropocus1297  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Chronic kidney disease is not a 'critical illness'. However, need to follow up with a qualified nephrologist for risk assessment, detecting reversible causes (if any) and optimization of medical management.

    Two years ago I had a kidney ultrasound and I was told to see a Nephrologist because it showed echogenicity and because my blood work was fine and everything else my doctor didn't do anything else. Now 1 month ago I repeated kidney ultrasound and it showed increased echogenicity. Does increased echogenicity always reflect kidney disease? I want to know because I haven't been told much about it. Today I repeated the kidney ultrasound and have to do blood work to see what's going. But I'll appreciate if you help me know if this could be normal with some people?
