My marionettes have a more natural walk, by stringing the foot through the knee and then to the leg bar the foot doesn't droop down so you don't need an over exaggerated walk. It looks more natural, but the feet must be splayed out somewhat in order to do that. When figures are fully clothed you may have to try several times to find the ideal place to make the string exit through the knee eye or staple. Also you must keep the waist articulated. People are blown away especially marionette artists when they see this done, so it is well worth the trouble.
