What a beautiful song, and I love Mori's low register, in the Philippinens the low register is not appreciated like the high belts, some of which sound like a scream than a high note, it hurts the hearing and the song, it's a competition to see who can sing the highest note, it's crazy, and it spoils the song, a shame, I listend to Katrina Velarda singing AKIN KA NA LANG, I know for fun but for me she spoilt it doing crazy high notes, in other words it hurt, Mori is the most complett singer out there today, from her super low to her high notes, but always under control, and never too much, thanks to Mori and Dave for another beautiful song.

Thank you for featuring this, another original from Morissette. This is the continuation of her songwriting era, following her "Signature" EP. It has the same mood as "Love You Still". Many are saying this is also about her father, although I haven't heard her confirming it. Nevertheless, it has a relaxing and soothing effect, with Mori's voice and her artistic choices. Even the background vocals harmonizing with her are also hers. Gorgeous. I definitely agree with you. The singer and the song, simply stunning and gorgeous. 🥰

I totally respect and support Morissette with her decision to move in this new direction with regards to the style of music she’ll be performing in the future. In my opinion this was a no brainer for her to move away from the continuous strain on her voice from the power and high belting that she is known for. It has been well documented that her voice has had plenty of issues in the past from over performing and continuous singing in her higher registers. I think she is now wanting to take the professional advise given to her and to now start to look after and to take care of the wonderful gift she received from god.
Is that something she's decided very recently? Because not that long ago she was belting in "Power" and "Ang Huling El Bimbó" like there was no tomorrow :D
@@fashionblank She recently(just prior to Xmas) mentioned it in couple of her Vlogs while she was holidaying in Italy and locally in the Philippines that this was going to be the direction she is taking moving forward. She asked her fans to be understanding of her decision. She is aware of the wear and tear so to speak about the continuing stress on her voice from the years of belting those ridiculous higher registers. It’s literally taking a toll on her voice. She wants to take a step back from these continuous demand from her to perform at these high levels. She wants to keep singing well into her latter year. With this new mindset her fans will be able to enjoy her amazing voice for a lot more years to come. It doesn’t mean she won’t hit those ridiculous higher registers but just not as often as before. This new song Wishing Well is more of the type of singing that we can expect from her going forward. ✌️
This is the future of Morissette. She recently stated that she needs to move in a new direction (vocally) and that the way she was singing was unsustainable. Morissette is keenly aware of vocal health and wants a long career in the music biz and the only way to insure that is to stop doing certain things (whistle notes). I'm sure she will continue to use certain things as accent pieces to songs but she will definitely move in a new direction. She hopes her fans will continue to support her on this journey! PLEASE support this Independent Artist!
She's already done some legendary performances. We might not be able to see her sing those masterpieces again the way she did. Well let's just be happy that she once did while in her peak.

I don't know if that's her doing or Wish Bus. But it's obvious to me from listening and also checking it with pitch detecting software that is autotuned from start to finish.
