The First Day, released in 1993 by Sylvian and Fripp, astounded audiences with its powerful and forceful sound. This album, which bore a stronger resemblance to the mid-1990s King Crimson yet to come rather than Sylvian's earlier works, fearlessly blended elements of accessibility and experimentation. Notably, the track "Bringing Down The Light" showcased the first recorded instance of Fripp's innovative contemporary Soundscapes technique, providing a truly exceptional and captivating experience.

Went to the gig in Amsterdam, was blown away. Now my sons (then unborne) are flabbergasted equally by this album. This is an incredible song, with guitar solo's unlike any other guitarist, and the different voice-sounds of Sylvian are gripping. Everthing blended with the beautiful bass-line, atmospherics and the syncopic drumming, wow.....
I love so much that album, both david and robert ambiances mixed up, well completed by trey and pat. Still actual....

The composition is rather shamanic and mystical. Fripp's recognizable guitar and Sylvain's magical vocals (even before nine horses). For lovers of similar music, I recommend the album David Cross - Exiles (1997) (a new interpretation by King Crimson from 1973). There are both John Wetton and Peter Hamil on vocals, and Fripp, too, of course.
The intro reminds me of really, really early Japan. And I'm not mad about that, at all.
