Register with your neighboring rights society where you live. They will collect from SoundExchange. You can check with royalty claim to see if you have unclaimed royalties.
I really appreciate all your videos I sub to the email list but I am from France and I was thinking can you make a video please showing how to get the ISRC ISWC code then UPC..
@@TheMusicBusinessMadeEasy Yes I saw them all but you don't exactly show on which website you will get the ISRC or ISWC or UPC I guess you have to buy to some compagnies..
Did you know...?
Even though I am not a US artist ... the info you are giving in general is Gold! ... We need people like you guiding us ...Much respect
El Far3i | الفرعي how very kind of you! Thank you so much.
Thank you Ms Watkins. This is a topic that is much needed for the independent music community. :-)
You're so welcome!
wow, that’s interesting, so if i’m registered with soundexchange my radio spins in another country can still be collected, and paid to me?
Yes, in all of the places they collect…
Nice work
Thank you!

i'm outside US , should I register with both Royalty claim and sound exchange ?
Register with your neighboring rights society where you live. They will collect from SoundExchange. You can check with royalty claim to see if you have unclaimed royalties.
@@TheMusicBusinessMadeEasy thanks, I have one more question, I signed up with BMI and it's been more than 5 days, but they didn't email me yet
@@Farooccheck your spam or junk folders. If not there, it will come. It's covid season too so give it a few.
@@TheMusicBusinessMadeEasy Thank you very much
@@TheMusicBusinessMadeEasy one more thing, how do I get iswc code in the first place, does my Pro generate one for me ?
How do you get your mechanical royalties as a publisher overseas outside of those third parties like Songtrust.?
Outside of using third parties would require you to register with all overseas entities yourself to collect from them.
Thanks for info.
Appreciate it

@@victorienmaillet www.isrc.com
ISWC is assigned by your PRO. UPC is assigned by your digital distributor.
Okay thank you ! But if UPC is assigned by your digital distributor how they know you company prexif ?
@@victorienmailletthey'll be using theirs... what you need is the number. That's more important.
So if I'm on sound-exchange do I need to apply for royatyclaim for neighboring rights??
It doesn't hurt to check. SoundExchange does a great job tracking internationally if you signed the international agreement.
