Big Jane, before playing: 'I love this game, it is so relaxing'
Little Jane, five minutes in: 'Oh no, oh my days. I am very stressed'
"Oh my days"? If you're not Little Jane, then you've done your homework.
These old videos helped so much with isolation and now are distracting me from morning sickness. Thanks!
Jane at 23:47: Mummies are scared of ghosts, ghosts are scared of Draculas, and Draculas are scared of mummies.
Which leaves me wondering what are werewolves scared of?
Oh right... Baths (nods to Sir Terry).
52:45 "You don't charge people for entry to a hospital" **laughs in American**
really? What hospital you been to where there is a meter at that door that you pay to open? Cuz ive lived in America all my life and ive never seen one. Your charged for the services you receive. (that is corrupt as hell though) but ive never had to pay to walk in the door
imagine working at a hospital and your boss tells you, “hey, we’ve had a lot of expenses this month and we’re in the red. hand over one of your kidneys”
I love that Jane confused the last infected person dying with lag on vaccines not counting.
The same habits come back every stream and it’s always unsuccessful. It’s heartbreaking, but I’ll still watch forever.
I worked as a janitor/housekeeper in a hospital for a while and this game and its inevitable collapse into total chaos makes me feel like I'm right back in the thick of it. xD Except our hospital was too stingy to go for the ghostbusting training, which I now see was a massive oversight.
"So, even though Freddy White did explode on a burning treadmill, the air conditioning was on!" - Jane Douglas
I may attempt some fan art for that one....
Did you do it?
I love how she calls us friends! It makes me feel good. I appreciate these streams even though I rarely catch one.
Me too. I really love how interactive and personal the streams that the the whole team does. I think it's part of how they've attracted such a lovely, wonderful community of people to the channels.
Catching up on Two Points Hospital and I just got to Beth Bloomer telling Jane there are only 200 sleeps till Christmas. That tskes me back to when my youngest siblings were little. There's a 12 and 15 year age gap between me and my youngest brother and sister respectively and to help them grasp time a little better, I would teach them to count how many sleeps it would be until something, (0bday, holiday, vacation, ect). Till they were about 5 that was the method my fam ended up using to help them have a concept of time. Just had to share that cause it made me smile and feel warm, fuzzy nostalgia for simpler times. 😁❤ Thanks for the warm and fuzzies, Beth.
You sounded like you've had a stressful week, Jane, so I hope the burning hospital wasn't too much on top of that. If it helps at all, I started Sweaty Palms the other day, and had two volcanic eruptions in close succession. My hospital was filled with burning rocks, my machines were all on fire, my janitors were running from ghosts and my nurses were storming out. Some places just aren't meant to be hospitals.
If you don't mind giving your opinion, and advice, I guess, I'd like to ask if you think this is a game that someone who doesn't usually do management sim type games, would enjoy? I've been really loving Jane streams, and I'm tempted, but, like I said, this isn't usually my thing and Idk if my head is being turned because of the extra charm Jane brings to her playthroughs. Would you reccomend it to a sim noob? 😁
@@madalice5134 I would say yes, though also recommend waiting until it's on sale (I wasn't sure either, then saw it for 70% off on Steam). I love Jurassic World Evolution, which is about the only other sim game I've played, but... it has dinosaurs. This game is quite entertaining, and though you have to put a few hours in at a time, you can leave weeks between plays if you want.
@@GriffinWolf Thanks, I think I will get it when I see a good price drop for the PS4 port. I thought about getting it for my Switch, but my eyesight isn't great, so I think having it on the other system would be best for me. Jurassic Park Evolution dors sound like it would be fun because, like you said, dinosaurs, what's not to love right? Thanks for the reccomendations. I'm always trying to keep an open mind to genres that I haven't played much. Last year I'd never played a strategy game, but a friend told me I would love Fire Emblem Three Houses and now I'm addicted. It's always nice to fall in love with a new type of game.
@@madalice5134 No problem, enjoy! If you are considering PC, Steam is having a huge sale right now?
@@GriffinWolf I don't have a pc right now, but I'll pass along the sale info to a friend who does a lot of pc gaming. I think he was looking at getting Two Points Hospital as well. 😁
these streams are always interesting, also funny that the patients reaction to being blow up while running on an on fire treadmill is to rage quit treatment
Jane keeping me hydrated at work. Drink (water) for bench!
Dr. Jane and the Abdominable curse. A great movie title.
Rewatching these streams and it just reminded me of how much I love it when the OX crew describes the stickers they get gifted, it is really cute and fun!
I had no eye liner on ! This will not stand!
Best thing I've heard today!
"Big Jane, little Jane" must be the PG sequel to "big cook, little cook" where Instead of cooking it's morally/financially bankrupt doctoring.
Edit: 2:01:05 Was that a deliberate, throw-away reference, just for whoever happens to catch it? I choose to believe that the actor behind Prudence the Tiefling Warlock *is* that cool.
Thanks Jane for this epic stream, you deserve all the bikkies after that herculean effort; thanks also to everyone else in the chat for your wit, charm & all 'round awesomeness - I'm grateful to be able to participate in the OX community. And let's not forget... umm... I wanna say Producer Jon(?)
😥Sry, guess I did forget 😥
Anyroad, thanks for moderating!
That intro calmed me down so much, thank you jane
Jane, you need to get Dr Nobby to work researching new diagnosis rooms, too. Fluid analysis, X-ray and MEGA Scan are all still waiting to be unlocked! Having one of each diagnosis room will greatly improve your hospitals' diagnosis speed and effectiveness.
Had to catch this later but Yay! Jane and her victims are back :) Got to the 1 hour mark, The change from confident "Yeah I've got this" to the "Oh cr*p" moment.
As this was being streamed I was in a real hospital getting surgery! Fun watching this as I recover.
36:00 All going a bit Mike, oh dear.
Did no one make a joke about "Running on a burnin treadmill is a great way to burn calories!"? Shame on you all!
I really missed Big Jane and Little Jane running the show last week.
I can't catch these streams live for the foreseeable future since my workplace has started up 100% again.
Our playstyles are rather different, but watching someone really juggle the loans and spread out the rooms all over the place with corridors 3 tiles wide is quite entertaining.
The rich houses always give out Full Size Janes on Halloween.
For those watching in the future, the stream starts at 1:12
From the future, thank you
I can't believe I missed this stream because I was too busy playing TPH XD
Watching you play this made me get it for the switch, Ive learned from your mistakes and so far have 3 star's the first 3 hospitals without too much issues. Keep up the great content loving these streams.
Also Poor Freddy White...Just came in to get his heart checked...gets exploded.
I got the game because of the streams too. On Steam though 'cause it was on sale. :)
I'm very surprised that I think I'm further along playing than Jane is. (stupid completionist "must three star everything" mindset...)
Does it play well in handheld mode? I've been looking at possibly getting it for either my PS4 or my Switch, but I wondered if the text would be a bit difficult to read on the Switch while in handheld which is primarily how I play. Also, my glasses are a bit out of date, so reading small text is a challenge till I get new glasses.
@@madalice5134 Yeah I only play it in handheld mode, The text is alittle small, to be honest, but the important stuff like the mission objectives I feel are easy read, stuff like the flavor txt on items might be small but so long as you can see what the item is you shouldn't have an issue.
@@DeadmanWL Cool, thanks for the quick reply. This sort of gane game isn't usually my thing, but I'm really loving Jane's streams so I'm so tempted to buy it.
@@madalice5134 No problem, and same here, but watching Jane made me buy it, I am having fun with it though, its a good, want something to chill with game like Animal Crossing but with alittle more thinking lol
Once I found out that you can set Treatment prices to maximum and get all your Reputation back with a simple Marketing campaign, money was of no value whatsoever. Just the Treatments though, keeping the Diagnosis at default is important to keep patients happy enough to pay double on the most profitable bit.
Also, if people rage quit the hospital, that DOES negatively affect Cure Rate objectives, but refusing to pay for a successful treatment DOES NOT.
XD I wonder if Freddy was skipping on the treadmill like some of my patients do for their stress tests.
HELPFUL HINTS....to edit a room...hover over the door or an empty part of the floor.
… you can assign certain staff to certain rooms under the staff tab. ie..gp's only work in gp offices, treatment nurses in treatment rooms. diagnostic people in diagnostic rooms.
...training a person to do One thing ie treatment and assigning them only treatment rooms or having a janitor who only learns to upgrade a machine then assigning them to that-- helps a lot.
….as for pandemics I am pretty sure Mummies can get infected.
love your streams, hope to catch a live one some day : ) : )
1:12:18 Why is that dead guy sliding across the sidewalk? Is their ghost so in denial about being dead that they're just dragging their corpse along pretending it's all fine?
The comment about Jane's eyeliner is very true. Her makeup is always very good
So would the Cookie Monster's English cousin be the Biscuit Boogieman?
Politely scoffing Digestives.
@@LumiMoonCh We do not 'scoff' jheuflfl. We 'nibble'.
Finally I get to note I heard the Oxbox hold music during a Ask A Mortician video.
Hey... NOONE puts Little Jane in the corner!
😂 Except big Jane herself of course 🙂
Darren Morris exactly where my mind went 😂👏🏻
God,without context that sounds like the start of a bad porno
LOL! Jane got a text at 46:10. I heard the vrrrt vrrrt and immediately checked my phone. Maybe I should go to the hospital for phantom messages...
Oh my, running on a burning treadmill
Dr. Bobby and Dr. Nora's research lab looks so uncomfortable with their backward facing stations 😆
I apologize. I will be back, but you said Luke was playing at Donkey Kong Country, so it's really out of my hands 🤣
9:10 Yayy! Stargate reference!
My name is Roy, this stream was super wierd for me
Anyone else totally mesmerized by Big Jane's hair?
10:55: Nobody puts baby Jane in a corner....except Big Jane.
Aaaah I have missed your 2point hospital streams!!!
Hey Jane, need to 3 star Mitton University to get the servers.
I sincerly apologise if I caused a biscuit shortage in many households. 😃😬
Jane straight up rocks!!!
Wouldn't it have been a darn shame if Mike snuck in and ate all the biscuits?
Is it bad that I can imagine him doing it?
Hahaha, Benjamin lillywhite
Luckiest receptionist ever.
Great stream very entertaining
Well that explosion in the first hour only injured a few people so that's good
I guess Benjamin's break just wasn't in Jane's diary.
Massively underappreciated comment. I would say that people's reaction to it was so cold.
Are you able to move the gold star awards to another room? you could improve the GP offices to get that diagnosis percentage up faster. or if you improve the staff room do the staff breaks shorten?
Best stream yet!
Can you really cure someone with premature mummification? Thought they had their brains picked out as part of the process 😱
Reducing diagnosis and services costs by 30/40% and increasing treatment costs by 10/20% results in an overall profit while maintaining/increasing your reputation!
Also, using palm trees and ice sculptures increase attractiveness and reduce temperature and don''t need any maintenance, meaning your janitors don't need to be distracted by them
For the pricing doesn't it make more sense to increase the prices of diagnostics and reduce the prices of treatments since everyone has to go through the GP's office, take the happiness hit from the higher price but then you get the happiness buff at the end for the low cost of the treatment?
some streams show the chat, some don't when going into VOD mode... wish this one had the chat as well... :( oh well. glad you are enjoying yourself :)
The trick to pricing is to lower the price of diagnosis but raise the price of treatment. Most of the money comes from treatment so lowering the price of diagnosis keeps them happy until they reach the endpoint of the process.
Active volcanoes aren’t usually a problem. Just look at Seattle!
Does anyone know the name of the opening song?
Great stream. Wasn't able to comment during the stream because of my job type thing that I had to do. Looking forward to the next one.
Build a cafe, it's great for medium amounts of income
What watch does Jane wear? Into watches?
Was it me or could someone hear the telltale new text vibration during the stream?
What would doctor who say? Are you my mummy?
Hi and I really liked your stream
Not sure this is the right space for this but I love this channel and just want to keep those whom may not know informed.
Black Lives Matter is not a charitable organization and are, in fact, a for profit company that does very little but incite outrage and push their agenda. The donations they collect are mostly used to line the pockets of the founders. Alicia Garza went from a net worth of $100,000 to a net worth of nearly $5 million. Donations would be better given to the NAACP.
Well, yes - the proceeds from the Oxboxtra livestreams did go to the NAACP, as mentioned in the titles for those streams.
Darkling183 I know, but they have been plugging BLM for donations as well. Just giving info to those that may not have it or know it is all.
Fair enough, @@acedeadeye2052. There's a distinction that does need to be made between Black Lives Matter, the movement, and Black Lives Matter, the organisation. Hopefully people will follow Oxboxtra's example and direct their donations to the NAACP.
