that max was from Porto! I was the FO on the GDN one and we got a Predictive Windshear warning on the approach so had to go around and eventually diverted to LPL!
Great video showing great pilot skills. If these guys can land at LBA in these conditions, they should be capable of landing at any airport in the world. Credit to you for filming in this horrendous weather.
When the wind is bad LBA really is the most challenging of airports to land at. Its bad enough landing in a cross wind but then you have the touchdown zone set at the high part of the runway, miss it and you end up floating and been blown off, and of course its not the longest runway going!
