I think Sera is firmly of the belief that “if they deserved to be in Heaven they wouldn’t have ended up in Hell” and honestly I *kind of* see her point. Because logically, after thousands of years, and millions of souls … only a single soul has been worthy of being redeemed till now? I’m not sure if this is a plot-hole or if Heaven is lying (about previous redeemed souls). I hope Vivzie addresses it one way or another but it’s fun to theorise till then 🤔🤔🤔
I think Heaven’s rules are a bit more complicated to the point that not a single person knew how to get into heaven i believe Sera will have to learn that Sinners can infact be redeemed i don’t believe she’ll be stuck with the same mentality as Lute as even before they found out about the possibility of being redeemed she wasn’t a fan of exterminating souls but simply thought “the ends justify the means” type of deal

Extermination is a way to ensure that sinners will never rise again. How many souls can Charlie fix? a hundred? a thousand? Compared to 16% of sinners killed in one year, this is simply a ridiculous figure. Not to mention that sinners still need to die to ascend, how can one be convinced that a sinner has reformed enough to go to Heaven rather than die? No way.
It would be interesting to see this dynamic play out in season 2, if they go that route. It’s also quite fascinating as this dynamic of someone, believing the ends justify the means, being manipulated by an underling for their goals has happened many times in other works of fiction and in real life.

OMG, YES. I always hoped Sera and Lute would have a duet. They seem like they'd be like student (Lute) and teacher (Sera), but a close relationship. (Sera definitely favourited Lute over Adam)

I like these rewrites and the Heaven Is Changing lore. It sounds like Sera was getting closer to the path of understanding, but Lute brought her back to the other mindset. I honestly didn’t expect Happy Day In Hell to be made epic, but you did it somehow! Love the Lute rewrites

@@darum06 i noticed a interesting detail in hazbin hotel thanks to a video, and also something similar to something that happend in real life! i'll get to the point. So there was this cat named Oscar which lived in a hospital (he was a therapy cat) but something interesting that workers noticed is that he could predict when would persons pass away, now, relating this to hazbin hotel, you can see that Keekee grew a bond with Sir Pentious, theres a theory that says that Keekee might know when a soul is pure enough to be redeemed but since she's a mascot and very likely to not be able to talk, she could be giving hints to any sinner to know he can ascend to heaven

You can voice the whole of hazbin at this point- The setting is setup like Lute and Sera are battling in song within the court room. Lute's view is still avenging Adam, while Sera wants to do the right thing. They both want to do the right thing for different ideals, to take control and THE HARMONIES TOO, and still they want to get rid of the Hazbin Hotel, oh my gosh the LORE GOES WILD WITH THIS ONE-

i like how these rewrites take a much darker approach compared to the original songs (minus maybe Poison), instead of Charlie blubbering happy-go-lucky nonsense we have Sera being manipulated by Lute into thinking an uprising is on the way and they have to continue killing to stop it. imagine if these songs had the animation of the show, or better yet, the style of the art in the videos, but with an actual animated story to go along with it. that'd be sick.
And the fact that they kind of were the ones to start this ‘uprising’ with the exterminations Not to mention they only could fight back with angelic weapons, which they only got their hands on due to the exterminations :/
TC@@Senwa_Zennommm that's actually not solidly discussed. Lilith actions in he'll when Lucifer was shocked at what humans did with free will, is open. And it's obvious from the Vees that rebellion has been thought of even without angelic weapons. We keep acting like those in he'll are innocent.
@@als3022 Of course the thought of rebellion was always there and yes sinners are in Hell for a reason. However, initiating the exterminations in the first place would just make more sinners want to rebel. Think of it like how destroying Alderan was meant to help the empire end any rebellions. Instead it just led to more ppl jointing the rebel alliance. Also the sinners can’t actually hurt the angels unless they get their hands on an angelic weapon, which they were only able to because of the exterminations.
At this point I believe you can write an AU Lute storyboard just with song rewrites: a "Whatever it takes" rewrite as a duet in different views: Adam from Hazbin Hotel missing Lute and Lute from heaven plotting against hell to avenge Adam, then a "Starts with sorry" rewrite as their first meeting when Lute attacks the hotel and meeting with sinner Adam for the first time and apologizing while being conflicted about her belief system and a final "More than Anything" song rewrite when they open up their true feelings and how they will both try to be better for each other and achive redemption (Adam to return to Heaven and Lute to stop her genocidal and bigoted thoughts against demons.
Idea: "Whatever it takes" emily and sir pentious version Emily and sir pentious will both try to redeem more sinners while emily and lute will try to kill the sinners

Lute is clearly too busy grieving to think straight and Sera is trying to think about things logically and trying to get Lute to not make a decision that will only cause her further pain. Right now Lute needs to process what happened.
I like how you did the two possibilities of the way Sera will take Sir Pentious’ redemption, the good (heaven is changing) and the bad way, (This song) you’ve covered all bases and to that I say well done :)
"Happy Day in Hell" isn't my favorite song but you manage to put an other strengh in it, that's impressive! I personnally don't think Sera will stand for fight... I know she accept extermination but with Pentious in Heaven, she could accept these a chance for Sinners and that she was wrong. She will certainly have big BIG troubles with Sinners because... well... she still have the idea that Angels are all white and Demons all black. But maybe she will at least try to see things differently. Maybe I'm too optimist because we have already see nothing really look like it is in Hazbin Hotel but... I can't really imagine Sera being a enemy. Lute will be! Maybe even Lilith... but... I have the feeling Sera will be completly lost about what to do. The only reason I can imagine her turning against redemption is that someone try to hurt Emily (because I'm sure she will try to help Charlie so maybe she will go in Hell like Charlie go in Heaven)
I think she will probably hedge her bets. As she will have Emily in one ear telling her to give it a chance, and Lute in the other telling her they are even more dangerous. Balancing between them. Exterminations would be on hold, but the threat of them returning would always be there, and I can imagine Lute making sure her army was better prepared than before.
It’s funny how these covers highlight how much can be done with Lute as a character. We don’t get much material from her, but she can become a much bigger player moving forward. Great work as always. I love how it has a different arrangement, but a similar identity to the OG version.
I agree. Although Lute appeared a few times during the first season, I think she's already one of the most beloved characters. She's definitely more popular than characters like Charlie. I think the audience especially appreciated her strong nature and her relationship with Adam. Maybe she would have been the right person for him, after two disappointments, because she cared for him and she was faithful to him, while Adam seemed to be able to make her smile. I hope she gets a good Villain Arc... But I hope Adam comes back in the end. They need each other ❤

I love these rewrites! Your voice is amazing. I don't believe that Sera is actually bad but Lute manipulated her. And I believe that she almost understood and accepted that sinners can change and redeem themselves until Lute "changed" her mind. I really don't want her to be a villain, hopefully she'll change her pov on redemption in season 2 :)

The dark epic inversion of the happy day in hell chorus is so good. You're such an expert at twisting songs. You don't cling to it 1:1 but you keep core parts of the original when you invert, the 'signature' part of the song if you will. It's really amazing!

I think if I were the winner in the world of Hazbin, I would be on the side of Sera and Adam in this conflict. For tens of thousands of years, only one soul has ascended to Paradise... Not to mention the fact that many do not understand the cause of the conflict. Sera and Adam feared the uprising of Hell led by Lilith. Extermination is a way to ensure that sinners will never rise again. How many souls can Charlie fix? a hundred? a thousand? Compared to 16% of sinners killed in one year, this is simply a ridiculous figure. Not to mention that sinners still need to die to ascend, how can one be convinced that a sinner has reformed enough to go to Heaven rather than die? No way.
It would be interesting to see this dynamic play out in season 2, if they go that route.
It’s also quite fascinating as this dynamic of someone, believing the ends justify the means, being manipulated by an underling for their goals has happened many times in other works of fiction and in real life.

I like these rewrites and the Heaven Is Changing lore. It sounds like Sera was getting closer to the path of understanding, but Lute brought her back to the other mindset. I honestly didn’t expect Happy Day In Hell to be made epic, but you did it somehow! Love the Lute rewrites

@@darum06 i noticed a interesting detail in hazbin hotel thanks to a video, and also something similar to something that happend in real life! i'll get to the point.
So there was this cat named Oscar which lived in a hospital (he was a therapy cat) but something interesting that workers noticed is that he could predict when would persons pass away, now, relating this to hazbin hotel, you can see that Keekee grew a bond with Sir Pentious, theres a theory that says that Keekee might know when a soul is pure enough to be redeemed but since she's a mascot and very likely to not be able to talk, she could be giving hints to any sinner to know he can ascend to heaven

Lute's view is still avenging Adam, while Sera wants to do the right thing. i like how these rewrites take a much darker approach compared to the original songs (minus maybe Poison), instead of Charlie blubbering happy-go-lucky nonsense we have Sera being manipulated by Lute into thinking an uprising is on the way and they have to continue killing to stop it. imagine if these songs had the animation of the show, or better yet, the style of the art in the videos, but with an actual animated story to go along with it. that'd be sick.
I don't think it will ever happen sadly, but at least we'll enjoy these banger songs ^^

Of course the thought of rebellion was always there and yes sinners are in Hell for a reason. However, initiating the exterminations in the first place would just make more sinners want to rebel.
Think of it like how destroying Alderan was meant to help the empire end any rebellions. Instead it just led to more ppl jointing the rebel alliance.
Also the sinners can’t actually hurt the angels unless they get their hands on an angelic weapon, which they were only able to because of the exterminations.
I think the Sinners would need a very tall ladder just to get to Heaven because they can't make portals that we know of.
At this point I believe you can write an AU Lute storyboard just with song rewrites: a "Whatever it takes" rewrite as a duet in different views: Adam from Hazbin Hotel missing Lute and Lute from heaven plotting against hell to avenge Adam, then a "Starts with sorry" rewrite as their first meeting when Lute attacks the hotel and meeting with sinner Adam for the first time and apologizing while being conflicted about her belief system and a final "More than Anything" song rewrite when they open up their true feelings and how they will both try to be better for each other and achive redemption (Adam to return to Heaven and Lute to stop her genocidal and bigoted thoughts against demons.

Lute is clearly too busy grieving to think straight and Sera is trying to think about things logically and trying to get Lute to not make a decision that will only cause her further pain. Right now Lute needs to process what happened.
I like how you did the two possibilities of the way Sera will take Sir Pentious’ redemption, the good (heaven is changing) and the bad way, (This song) you’ve covered all bases and to that I say well done :)
"Happy Day in Hell" isn't my favorite song but you manage to put an other strengh in it, that's impressive!
I personnally don't think Sera will stand for fight... I know she accept extermination but with Pentious in Heaven, she could accept these a chance for Sinners and that she was wrong. She will certainly have big BIG troubles with Sinners because... well... she still have the idea that Angels are all white and Demons all black. But maybe she will at least try to see things differently. Maybe I'm too optimist because we have already see nothing really look like it is in Hazbin Hotel but... I can't really imagine Sera being a enemy. Lute will be! Maybe even Lilith... but... I have the feeling Sera will be completly lost about what to do. The only reason I can imagine her turning against redemption is that someone try to hurt Emily (because I'm sure she will try to help Charlie so maybe she will go in Hell like Charlie go in Heaven)
I think she will probably hedge her bets. As she will have Emily in one ear telling her to give it a chance, and Lute in the other telling her they are even more dangerous. Balancing between them. Exterminations would be on hold, but the threat of them returning would always be there, and I can imagine Lute making sure her army was better prepared than before.

It’s funny how these covers highlight how much can be done with Lute as a character. We don’t get much material from her, but she can become a much bigger player moving forward. Great work as always. I love how it has a different arrangement, but a similar identity to the OG version.
Yeah I am kinda hoping she’ll be the Azula of Hazbin Hotel, I personally see lot of potential for her villain arc in the future.
I agree. Although Lute appeared a few times during the first season, I think she's already one of the most beloved characters. She's definitely more popular than characters like Charlie. I think the audience especially appreciated her strong nature and her relationship with Adam. Maybe she would have been the right person for him, after two disappointments, because she cared for him and she was faithful to him, while Adam seemed to be able to make her smile.
I hope she gets a good Villain Arc... But I hope Adam comes back in the end. They need each other ❤

I’m interested to see from Sir Pentious view if Sera actually excepts redemption. Like he gets popularity as the first redeemed sinner or flat out learns what Charlie had to deal with in Heaven. Like Sera was two-faced when excepting Sir Pentious and his redemption. And discovers that she’s allowing Lute to still exterminate Hell.

I love these rewrites! Your voice is amazing. I don't believe that Sera is actually bad but Lute manipulated her. And I believe that she almost understood and accepted that sinners can change and redeem themselves until Lute "changed" her mind. I really don't want her to be a villain, hopefully she'll change her pov on redemption in season 2 :)

The dark epic inversion of the happy day in hell chorus is so good. You're such an expert at twisting songs. You don't cling to it 1:1 but you keep core parts of the original when you invert, the 'signature' part of the song if you will. It's really amazing!

Okay, random idea on a month old video, but I can't help but wonder what a "respectless" cover with Sera and Emily would be like. I can't help but picture Sera pulling a "how dare you treat ME this way after everything I've done for YOU?!" when Emily starts to question her about the uprising.
What about a version of hells greatest dad….but the twist is it’s Lilith showing up after being gone for years! And alastor I don’t know who I’d swap with but I’m sure you guys would come up with a great idea if you did take this idea! Should have a type of mother gothel vibe maybe don’t know if this will be noticed but just would be amazing to see. Have it have its own lyrics and setting like this one brilliantly remade of happy day in hell!
