Don’t worry about using too much glue. In woodworking, we call it “squeeze out” and it’s a good indicator that all the available surface area is getting glue, which is the most important thing for a reliable bond. Wet glue can be cleaned up with a wet rag/paper towel, and dried excess glue can be scraped off easily with a chisel or whatever sharp implement you have laying around. It can also be sanded off if it’s visible on the outside where you need to do paint or other finishing.
Audio Arkitekts especially with these MDF kits where screws or other fasteners are often considered to be optional. With all the vibration that’s going to be happening in there, definitely the more the merrier!
I had that same sub and amp originally in a sealed enclosure and I blew the amp inside a week. I replaced it with the Dayton SPA500 and have had zero issues since.
Nice job, never see a gsg kit with a Glos finish it would be gorgeous with that subwoofer,I was going to make 2 but shipping fees was more than the equipment
Great video Mike! Awesome production work. I am going to scope out GSG. Love that GSG packaging! Awesome looking kit! Great tutorial man, I really enjoyed it! It really gave me the DIY ITCH!
