@@Airier the person above got it slightly wrong-- it's only the last narrator bit when Goku breaks a hole in Super Android 13 that's voiced by Sabat. The "I swear they stopped trying after season 2" one
The best part is that Dragon Ball runs on the multiverse theory; you cannot alter the future directly, only create an alternate timeline while the original still exists.
Which means that in order to outright erase Goten instead of making a new timeline where he wasn't born Super 13 hit Goku below the belt hard enough to break the space-time continuum.
Considering the power ramp in the series, I'd believe it.

Well, Muten Roshi just basically means the invincible old master. He also goes by Kamesennin, the Turtle Hermit. We never get a "normal" name for him.
Then again, Kamesennin is on his driver's license, so maybe he just legally changed it...
The bit with Kami and Nail is a reference to Weekly Tube Show, which is where Kami's voice actor comes from.
Sadly, the Vader-esque dropping-on of the hat is not part of the original production...so points to TFS for a brilliant three seconds.

Okay, Super 13. I'll explain the ones I at least know XD
- Baby Cell just said 'No'
- A septum is the wall between the two ventricles and atria of the heart, so Chi Chi was implying that she'd stab the woman with her own earring
- Chi-Chi cannot fly, she peaked as a fighter before flight was such an easy thing, Goku only achieved it when fighting Piccolo after both his arms were broken. Then she was housewife'd and mother'd and thus never got to pose a fighting threat again
- Hemorrhoids man, connect the dots
- It was listed as a 'Potential Weak Point' ...foreshadowing
- I don't think it was...but let's pretend it is, along with the Banjo Imperial March
- The Arctic is technically a desert, also less flora and fauna to kill
- The Translated Audio file of the last words shows an image, this also happens for all of his voice lines
- Very much a canon justification
- 'Spirit Saiyan' a badass one-off transformation of SSJ Goku absorbing the Spirit Bomb energy. In the actual movie Krillin uses this as confirmation that Goku has a pure heart even with the primitive rage of Super Saiyan
- "And completely taciturn" means he doesn't talk anymore, so Gero.exe doesn't have to listen to that accent anymore.
A septum ring is a type of nose piercing and you can read about it by searching it on Wikipedia, direct quote: "The nasal septum is the cartilaginous dividing wall between the nostrils".
I imagine septum in anatomy indicates a partition or something that crates a partition, since it's the latin for an enclosed space or something similar.

Oh yeah. Spirit Saiyan was proven impossible in Super where Goku confirms he can only use the spirit bomb in base.

Also, Goku charged the Spirit Bomb in base here, after it's charged he took it into himself in Super Saiyan. It's not that different to when he charged up SSJB and Kaioken x20 against Jiren after using the Spirit Bomb, the explosion of the spirit bomb's energy is what unlocks Ultra Instinct

I think now that you know that there's jokes you miss, you might be trying too hard to find callbacks and references. Pretty sure the joke with the "for a thousand years I have slumbered" is just that they emerge from the ice dramatically like they were sealed away or something.
Probably. I've got the craziest sense of deja vu that I've seen that joke somewhere else. Either in this series somewhere, or another anime.
I mean, the line they say is a pretty generic "ancient being getting released from a prison" kinda line so it's definitely been said (probably both with and without that wording) elsewhere. Or maybe not, maybe it's just one of those meme-y quotes that people say everywhere that never really started anywhere. Either way, I've heard it before too and it's definitely part of the joke, I just don't think it's from Dragon Ball at all.
AirierGames - They added the Krillin part in suggesting to visit the lab. Actually it's Piccolo's idea. Remember? He would go after Imperfect Cell, who escaped, while Trunks and Krillin were tasked with doing Bulma's original plan: finding Gero's lab and destroying cell in the tank.

AirierGames - just checked: sorry my friend. The trucker hat descending on Android 13 in the underground lab wasn't in the original movie.
TFS seemed to added the chain with grappling hook from the ceiling. Normally it was just the open capsule with A13 standing in it.
On the one hand, I'm disappointed it wasn't real. On the other hand, props to teamfourstar for coming up with a truly good insert for the scene.
I'm surprised someone had to check for that.

Two fun facts: The arm coming down to place the hat on Android 13's head wasn't in the original, and, interestingly enough, neither was the hat flapping through the air in the final shot after Super Android 13 exploded - that was completely edited in.

thats cool but i liked how season 5 ended all ambigious eerie hopeful heroic somber and mysterious yet symbolic and special for beast boy to get the win grow ...unlike Jack who never fought aku so there was still more left due to instant cancellation while titans had a whole season and finale knowing it would end so they molded it to be somber as a finale and it worked perfectly aka things change and both beast boy and terras final conversations about the state of reality bonds and the show itself.especially since season 5 was about bbs growth as a member and man not just his childish ways of old ....its so sublte and dramatic and slow which tt never really did like a soap opera.., the titans beat slade brother blood the brotherhood of evil and every main bady including trigun the living devil himself of the entire d.c. universe and no matter how cool the season 6 is unless its a starfire plot focused season i don't really care cause everyone else got their arc and as a team..she was left out... but its too late now..beast boys season was the best ending to the show...also if its not the og writers animators funding marketing who cares...it will suck and fail

Fun fact: Master Roshi is NOT his real name. Its Muten Roshi, Muten being his name. Roshi is a title, similiar to sensei. So his name should be Master Muten. Saying Master Roshi literally means Master Master.
A thing that is usually overlooked and I haven't seen in the comments at the beginning 17 says "the ear thing is back" recalling he said he had a problem that he only heard geros voices as "kill me" hense the following line "just following orders" also during the one episode 17 tells Piccolo imagine having a voice in your head screaming all the time "kill son Goku kill son Goku" as it's shown here wwith 13, also 17 refers to 13 during the Canon dbza doing the accent and saying the famous line "am Android 13 look at my trucker hat"... Let's see what else do I recall... oh krillin saying "he is brollying out" it's hilarious I think u talked over that line

So the dog biscuit thing is a recurring joke when Vegeta beheads someone. It starts with Guildo (want a biscuit boy?) from the Sailor Moon team that worked for Freeza. Does the same thing with the fat mime android as well.

What the cell thing said is in reference to Goku's brain during his fight with Freezer. Since it's still underdeveloped, much like Goku's brain still is to this day.

Yeah, I really should have explained that one better. The initial reason the fights took place in wastelands so often is for that reason. It's also why they learned how to fly. It was a good way to get to those locations (also, rule of cool).
The movie might not have had Toriyama working on it, but they did follow the precedent he established for the series.

Where the Hell did you here that the reason they left the city was because Toriyama didn't want to draw buildings? Toriyama was barely ever involved with these movies. He never created the backgrounds or animated any of the scenes in the movies. He's never been an animator in his life. All he did was provide character designs for the animation staff at Toie to work with while he continued to make the Manga.
Not for the movies. It was more about how he didn't like drawing those locations for his fights, so he had them relocate to baren wastelands.
That's also why characters first learned to fly. He wanted to avoid drawing out long journeys between important locations.
For the movies, I always thought of it as something of a nod to the manga when they moved locations.
But that's just my opinion.
