yeah and AIDS also killed everybody, good times? no. i'm 54, and i'll be frank, the 1980's were a rotten time full of cowardly, bullshit con artists still somehow in power, known as politicians and evangelical christians eschewing their provincially-oriented bullshit and hate/fear mongering. although, nothing's changed i guess, because they are still doing that sort of thing to this day. the only thing good about the 80's was the music, the fashion, and the hair and perhaps the food. sex was better too i suppose, until your best friends start dropping like flies. i don't miss cigarettes being smoked indoors still at restaurants, grocery stores, schools, hospitals, everywhere.... i don't miss people still allowed to drink alcohol while driving in their cars. i don't miss not being able to contact someone simply because they were not at home. i don't miss VHS quality media like television and every last home movie recorded on a shitty video camera needing 30 seconds of manual "tracking" being adjusted before you could actually make out what is on the screen, and, similarly, i don't miss having to rewind tapes. i don't miss giant televisions weighing 200 pounds. i DO miss things like koto and this fucking awesome song however! :)

He was actually a real karate expert. There was a music video where he walking on the mountains and performing his karate skills with the music. You seem him doing triple jumps and fierce kicks to the camera breaking boards and fighting a big guy on water. The Karate Gi wasn't a gimmick.
