  • Episode # 5414 FEELING NO PAIN
    Original airdate: 4-17-55
When a young woman (Judy Cavanaugh, played by Loretta Young) has her wisdom tooth extracted the anesthetic leads her into a delightful world all her own, a world where she is “Feeling No Pain”.
Judy acts so giddy that her dentist calls her fiancé, Albert Lauderdale (played by George Niese) to take her home. Albert, unable to oblige, sends his cousin Larry Brown (played by Hugh O’Brian) instead.
Judy, however, is having too much fun to go right home and, before she is through, has an unusual coiffure, an unflattering hat, causes a fight between Albert and Larry, decides to punch someone in the nose, and finally realizes she loves Larry Brown more than she does her fiancé… and that’s when all the fun begins.
Co-star Hugh O’Brian would go on in 1955 to star in his own ABC television series The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp as well as many other filmed appearances. He was highly regarded for creating the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Foundation in 1958, a non-profit youth leadership program which has sponsored over 400,000 students. O'Brian died at his home in Beverly Hills, California on September 5, 2016 at the age of 91.
George Niese made over 120 film and television appearances during his prolific career, including sitcoms like Green Acres, The Andy Griffith Show, Mister Ed, Perry Mason, The Addams Family, Hogan's Heroes and Get Smart. He died from cancer at his home in Hollywood on April 14, 1996, at age 79.
This cast also includes Hazel Brooks. At age 18 she was signed by the MGM film studio where she made a series of pictures culminating with a lead role in 1947's Body and Soul with John Garfield.
At 19 she married the long-time head of the studio's fabled art department, Cedric Gibbons. He was then 54. Brooks died in 2002, aged 78, in the Bel Air residential district of Los Angeles
