Wow. I heard this track for the first time tonight on radio 3. I've spent the rest of the evening listening to everything I can find by her. What an amazing artist and why oh why haven't I heard of her before.
I love it when Kate sings 'they cheer us on our heavenly way' and her voice breaks on heavenly! How can anyone not love Kate?! I love Kate's voice, and pretty much everything she sings, I listen to lots of folk music, and I think that she's a bit special.
And I love the way that Kate hangs back sometimes so that she's half a beat behind the music so she has a wonderful contrapuntal effect. The live version of this is also heart-breakingly lovely. Please watch!
