This group P.M.DAWN is just deep. This is a group that dwells in metaphysics. Their videos and songs are out of mind and body experience. The video is meant for your mind to uplift you. The title alone is powerful: The Ways of the Wind. Who knows the ways of the wind. If you think of it from that perspective you may understand what their video is saying. Respect.
I know I did, from the first time I heard them they captured me with their New Age style Rap lol. That's what i always called it. Very conscious and very beautiful. The melodies, the lyrics,...I was sad to hear about the lead singers death...
I have loved them since their first album. I've collected pretty much everything they've recorded. I too wish they would return but the audience now is so different. They want squeeze cheese overprocessed stars who obviously use auto-tune because it's about image, not talent. Those people have no talent and are not musicians. PM Dawn were and are brilliant and it's no wonder they were huge in England and not here. In America, if it smells, it sells.
James Kristoff Interesting comment James! Yes...image sells over talent-you’re so right! I knew what it was but didn’t know how to word it..you’re absolutely right. It’s all about sex image..not music and what does or should sex have to do with all of music?? It’s brainwashing!! ScarY stuff!!! Tv is all about sex too and again...what does sexuality have to do with all of every plot and with everycharacter?? It’s because it’s all about (sex )Image, as you have put it.
This made me cry tears like only the truly trancendental in great, great art can does deeply like the beyond beyond state of being where words are limp and inadequate in the enjoining into the real.
memories...o my gosh! just remembering that this album was not that spectac' except for a few songs...who's got Norwegian Wood out there? Please upload.
Electric Lady Studio + PM Dawn = the heavenly hand of Hendrix's "Sky Church is still here, that does mean peace not this like here dig... or blab, blab, woof woof"- as Jimi Hendrix said smilingly at Woodstock. PM Dawn is gloriously high music of natural human love gliding through time and space in supernal beauty that brings tears of exquisite bliss of self-realization and the transports of delight. 4:414:41
This is really interesting. the Guitar sample and main vocal melody are taken from the Joni Mitchell song "I Had a King" off her 1968 "Songs to a Seagull" album. but they've really done something worthwhile with it. really a beautiful song.
This is my second favorite song from them after my own personal gravity. But they were never considered an alternative group, they were always mis-categorized as hip-hop-R&B But they consider their music to be trance/melodic, I just think it should be called THE SHIT!
Sarah Hur thinking of you more than you know. im happily involved but I still think of what it was back in the day none the less. hope you are well catch up with me sometime.
This tune is so so smooth you could spread it on bread

Whoever put thumbs down on this song,..I guess. ..They are not in tune with variety . of the power of music....

oh man i used to love this one
The opening is a sample from Joni Mitchell's first album - Song to a Seagull - a song called I Had A King.
The whole song is actually like a reply to the Joni Mitchell original
Awesome 💖💗💙💚💛💜💝
A very good post, also my 5***** for DLS216, thank you! Uli
i love pm dawn
You can taste the colors of the 🌈 from this song .
This is the kind of song that is good enough to stick in your brain, but not good enough to make it to the "90's" channel on XM Radio or Pandora.
I'm glad that you like pm dawn but what did you think of the video itself?
dls216
Your vid is deep. I like it.
@JoviMoon It's indeed soothing. I love PM Dawn!
Darrens Technicolor dream factory with a splash of audible mind candy
This is my second favorite song from them after my own personal gravity. But they were never considered an alternative group, they were always mis-categorized as hip-hop-R&B But they consider their music to be trance/melodic, I just think it should be called THE SHIT!

@catdaddy0707 what is that PM Dawn song with the video where the big man is sitting on a diving board while the camera cruises overhead?
Sampling Joni Mitchell. I mean, who does that? :)
Joni!
Sarah Hur thinking of you more than you know. im happily involved but I still think of what it was back in the day none the less. hope you are well catch up with me sometime.
