Truly a shame that none of these pioneers were preserved. I have a soft spot for compound articuleds especially the less well known workhorses. You never knew about them but they were hauling hell and back all the way. Gorgeous work fellas, I look to buying the model myself soon!
The MC-1 looks like the dd50 steam locomotive in the 80s or the 40s it was a failure due to it's speeds it cannot be used for express runs on the mountain
Poor 'ole things! They were basically a working experiment and to that end they were extremely successful. According to Wikipedia the HP cylinders had a 26" bore and the LP cylinders 40", both HP and LP cylinders with the same 30" stroke. Problem with compounding is steam in the LP cylinders begins to act as a brake on the piston as train speed increases. This is why Simple articulates did succeed - there was no compounding just 2x sets of HP cylinders hence Simple.
That is a good story and you did an awesome job adding Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker's "Waltz of the Flowers". I have an idea for your next video: you could perform an Island of Sodor video and explain about its history and each of the engines including Thomas who each arrived on Sodor. Entitled: "Trainz Forge: The Island of Sodor"
Ya, how dare content creators attempt to keep up with modern standards, sorry that it wouldn't work in TANE even if it weren't PBR, but hey eventually people will move or be forever stuck being that one salty asshole that no one really likes dealing with because nobody develops for TRS2004 anymore.
Imagine thinking PBR is crap when 19 is literally superior to TANE in EVERY, SINGLE, WAY. Imagine creators wanting to use the best materials and creative features possible to make the best model they can by far
@@jd0192 yeah no. 19 & 22 Were Rushed to the Store when the bugs weren't fixed, And you wanna stand there and tell me that it's better? Fix it first, then come back and say it
The MC-1s walked so the Challengers, Big Boys and Cab Forwards could run.

Do I sense some future cab forwards???? Amazing set of locos, and definitely looking forward to what's to come😉😉 keep up the great work!
Same
that cab forward is a old model by someone else iirc
I'll take this as confirmation that those cab forwards Daylightrain announced like 28 years ago are still being worked on.

Good Attempt, but one mistake was made, PBR Crap.
