Very cool, I had no idea Quantifier Pro worked so well with my plugins. I really need to look at Quantifier Pro more and see if there are things I can do to make it even more compatible. Thank-you for featuring the Medeek Truss extensions. As always your videos are clear, concise and to the point, keep up the amazing work.
Hi, I'd like to know how I can save the cost information associated with layers, materials and objects? I don't want to be doing that job over and over again! I tried to save a template file with all the information but without the model and it didn't work!
Design Team Scenario for multiple skp models: Cost Data template and library? Designer could apply Cost Data to a template from a library? Primary Estimator could periodically update Cost Data library?
Hi there, I don' t want to pay a pro version cos life is hard. Can someone advice in similar software that is also free or with residual fee ? cheers. Your videos are awesome man and how you self taught youself. Thanks
Try Blender 2.80 beta - it's free and the new beta version has an upgraded user interface. Also Rocket3f - free version only has minor limitations. Simpler and much easier to use than Blender.
All of the Medeek extensions will work equally well in Pro or Make, however the fully licensed extensions themselves are not free, I have done my best to keep the price for these extensions as reasonable as possible while at the same time trying to make a living from their development full time.
Haven't used Sketchup for some time only to find out the free version is completely useless now. Can no longer export in any 3d format:/ Back to Blender, lol.
Very interesting thanks. What other costs does QUANTIFIER PRO include? For example labour? I can see this being very useful for the professionalstrotting out hundreds of studies each year. It would also be useful for scenario studies, where a client could pop options in and out to arrive at the best value for money design. I watched Grand Designs yesterday when the client paid nearly 3 times his original estimate (th-cam.com/video/9z7SUn5iRmc/w-d-xo.html ) and I can't help thinking he would have saved himself a pile of money with these plugins.
This series should have given you a pretty good idea of how to create a cost estimate in SketchUp with Quantifier - what questions do you still have?

Have you used estimator for sketch up? What are your thoughts on estimator vs quantifer?

Justin, I didn't see how or if you captured the look out costs in the roof model.
Lookout costs?
Sorry, outookers on the overhangs. I thought that these were part of the roof system but I didn't see them in the cost report.
You'd just have to build another item for them if you thought they were an added cost
s it possible to transfer you floor plan to autocad from sketch up to use it for a cnc?
Hello Justin.
You could help me with a plugin called ABF solutions, I could not install it. Thank you.
Sorry - I've never used this one and the documentation all seems to be in Korean?

is the plugin can estimate the steel bars of slab?
If you set the slab up properly it should be able to...

The free 2017 Make version is still available to download on SketchUp's website
