Yao Ming is 2.29m. They are both Han Chinese.
There a lot of tall chinese/asian people. It just overuse stereotype. It really depends where you go to, or who you meet. In some areas they have tall asians, while other short.

There’s sooo many dialects and accents, lingos, ethnic minorities tribes, and words and to be sellable marketable, they use known Mandarin language speakers, just like Americans would’ve hard time understanding a heavy Brit or Australian accents the words maybe “English”, but it’s not “American English.” They maybe “Chinese” but not all mainstream. 2nd) it’s to save time 3rd) budgets costs, like on location or studio, they’d rent for a period and must get out, so renting for a time they had to shoot and get the acting right and lightings, conditions and such sometimes actors can act great in general but messed up the line, a word or minor and such, in US there’s “cut” & reshoots.. too much bloopers, and when filming there’s background noises or such, so they just filmed it, mute it all and just line the voice actors over the reels easier saves time back in the Studios... plus more jobs for voice actors.

no.. they dubbed it using the same voice from tmpb to avoid confusion. He does however have a very beautiful and sexy voice. No dubbing needed. ;)
