This is my personal ranking: 5° Dark Souls 2, for the exactly same reasons that you described. Inferior level design compared to the other games, but still a great game to play especially the PS4 Edition with the 3 dlcs. 4° Demons Souls, actually I liked it very much and I think it´s a must have for all ps3 owners. But compared to the top 3 it lacks in longevity and level design. And also because it´s the last game that I played in this list, so maybe I was a little bit saturated with the series. 3° Dark Souls, I know that for many souls fans this one remains the best game of all. And I could also agree with that, but again maybe because I had already played 3 games, I was already experienced and I defeated most of the boss on the first attempt. 2° Dark Souls 3, as you said this game it´s almost perfect, takes the best from all other 4 games. It´s challenging but never unfair. 1° Bloodborne, it was the first game that I played and I will never forget the feeling of beating for the first time the Cleric Beast, or after hours spent in Central Yharnam being able to open the first shortcut. Other reasons for giving BB the first spot: his game and level design and his fast-paced combat. Looking forward to your next video on the SoulsBorne series.
I think the "limited" weapon choice in bloodborne is not a weakness, as every weapon is very unique and has a second mode, in Ds3 for example you got many more weapons, but move set are almost the same for most. quality over quantity anyday.
5. Demon's souls 4. Dark souls 2 3. DS1/3 2. DS1/3 1. Bloodborne DS1 and DS3 are both very good.. I can't decide which one is better, DS1 has the better world and DS3 has the better gameplay. Sooo... IDK /:

But the bosses are SO good, I'd wish they were in another game!
My ranking is controversial and will no doubt receive hate. But I have specific reasons for my rankings which I will outline below. 5. Dark Souls- Yes, you read that right. I think the first Dark Souls is the weakest game in the series. And it's pretty much for one main reason: you can't teleport from Bonfire to Bonfire until halfway through the game. Sorry, but to me, that is almost a dealbreaker. Having to run back and forth to many different areas just wastes time and makes the first 15 hours of the game extremely tedious. Not only that but...why do you have to "find" Blacksmiths throughout the world instead of having one in the hub world from the get go? It's just a very odd choice, and it's very annoying. Concerning the Firelink Shrine, I like games that have hub worlds that you can back and forth to, it makes the flow of the game much more addicting. You do some things, go back to the hub world to "stock up", then go back out into the action. I like that kind of rhythm, and this game doesn't have that for most of it. Not having a hub world that I can go back to at almost any time when I need to kills some of the enjoyment for me, all it does is increase tedium. in fact this game seems to go out of its way to increase tedium at any give opportunity. Something that should be obvious, like teleporting to and from the hub world/bonfires, or having a blacksmith in the hub world, you would think they'd have done these things from the beginning. The next thing I don't care for is how Humanity works. The Humanity system in this game just doesn't do it for me, it's too weird. And needing to Kindle a Bonfire to raise the amount of Estus you can use is also weird. Notice how none of these things came back in later games. This game did a lot of experimenting with different ideas, and to be honest, a lot of them didn't work for me. However, I do have to say that the bosses and level design are some of the best in the series and it's really a shame that certain elements of this game just don't work for me. I still love the game, but it is my least favorite of the five. I admit that I did play this game last, so that's why a lot of these differences stick out to me so much, maybe if I had played it first or second it would be higher up the list. Just by the time I got to this one, so many things about the Soulsborne games I kind of took for granted, for example the teleporting. 4. Dark Souls 2- I pretty much agree with this guy and I don't blame anyone for putting this game in last place. The bosses are extremely disappointing, the hit detection is weird, and the level designs are kind of "meh". That being said, this game does introduce Bonfire teleporting and it brings back the Demon's Souls aspect of "when you die you lose health" which to me that's an essential part of a Soulsborne game. I like the strategy of "should I bring my health back to normal, or should I wait until I die a few more times", that was interesting. I still prefer how Demon's Souls did it with halving your health, but this was a cool idea. It's funny because everything Dark Souls 1 does right this game does wrong, and everything Dark Souls 1 does wrong this game does right. But I will take weak bosses and lackluster level design over lack of convenience and extra tedium. I still don't care for the interconnected hub world (just let me teleport to a stage like in DS3, Demon's Souls and Bloodborne), but at least you can teleport with bonfires. 3. Demon's Souls- Probably the most underrated game in the series. This is the game that started it all. This game's lore is actually my favorite in the entire Soulsborne series and it's one of the reasons why I hope we'll get to see a Demon's Souls 2 one day. For a first entry into Soulsborne they knocked it out of the park. However the worst thing about this game is that it just doesn't quite reach the highs of the other game sin the series. The bosses are "ok", the levels are "good", the combat is "pretty good", nothing about the gameplay is outstanding. And I never liked how your healing items were consumables, I'm glad they fixed that in Dark Souls 1. It made it too easy to spam heal in boss fights. Overall, I still love this game a lot, and to be honest, Demon's Souls doesn't really do anything wrong. World Tendency was an interesting experiment. I didn't hate it, but I'm not missing it in later games. Overall, this game's biggest offense is that it doesn't quite reach the highs that Soulsborne games will reach. Maybe except for the Nexus. The Nexus is amazing. 2. Bloodborne- This game was so close to being number 1, but ONE THING holds it back: Having to grind foronsumable healing items and bullets. God dammit, they fixed it after Demon's Souls only to bring it back here again. But here it's actually worse because, while you can't spam heal for eternity anymore (they cap you off at 20 max), this also means that you can't gind for 2 hours and be good on healing items for the rest of the game. Instead you have to go back and grind for more every single time you run out of them, which happens A LOT. Yeah, you can always collect more and they'll go into your storage, but you still have to go back and forth to your storage, and if there's one thing I hate in games, it's being forced to go back and forth for something that all it does is just wastes time. Everything else about the game I love. The bosses are great, the level design is great (not as good as DS1 though), and the lore is fantastic. Just those damn consummables grinding. 1. Dark Souls 3- And here it is folks, my favorite in the series. To be quite honest, if you take out that one fatal flaw in Bloodborne, I actually like Bloodborne more. Bloodborne does a lot of things better than DS3. But like Demon's Souls, DS3 doesn't really do anything wrong. In fact it plays everything quite safe, and takes the good things from every game leading up to this point. A great hub world, a blacksmith that stays there the entire game, ability to teleport to any bonfire, it's great stuff. My favorite game in the series, it would have been Bloodborne, but as it stands, this one is my favorite.
I finished bloodborne very recently when it was for free for those who had Psn plus, so there might have been an update, but the only thing that did not need to be picked up manually in the storage were blood vials and silver bullets, they always were automaticly avaible for me as soon as i "resurrected" in a lamp untill my storage in the hunters dream was completely empty.
My List: 5. Dark Souls II: It just feels...terrible. It almost feels copy and pasted with a few extra kinks. The fact that they re-skined Ornstein into a weakass fight just irritates me 4. Demon Souls: 3: Bloodborne: I honestly prefer this over Demon Souls mainly because of the combat. Its so good. 2: Dark Souls: Absolutely majestic. It feels so magical and desolate and with the most memorable fights, it deserves a spot here. 1. Dark Souls III: Exactly what this guy says. I prefer this over DSI mainly because it ASKS if you want to to New Game Plus now or later. In DS I they just drag you in, but in DS III, if you want to do the DLC AFTER defeating the Soul of Cinder, you can without going into new game plus.
The first Souls game I played was DS3 and I fucken loved it, it's so different from the games made now a days! I wish I'd discovered these games a lot sooner, I've beaten DS3 and Bloodborne multiple times, I'm currently playing DS2. I haven't played Demon Souls and DS1 but you bet your ass I well! It makes me sad to hear that DS3 was the last games of the series... We NEED more games like these masterpieces!
I saw that 90+ graded Bloodborne Saw Clever variant on ebay a long time ago and I regret not picking it up. Do you still own it, and if so would you consider selling it?
Yes I agree with you. Many people say that Bloodborne is better than DS3, but Bloodborne is just not suited for me. I think DS3 has better boss fights, better soundtracks and world design. Also my favourite bosses are in the DS3 as well, Dancer of Borreal Valley and Nameless King. Anyway, great video and good review!
Thanks dude!!! Always appreciated. Youre list is great too. I really wanted to give dark souls 1 the win but ultimately couldnt...DS3 won over my heart. The DLC looks insane!
Mine would have to go 5 Demons Souls 4 Dark Souls 2 3 Dark souls 3 2 Bloodborne 1 Dark Souls All are very good though and I flip flop my rankings sometimes.
Yea i really had a hard time picking between ds3 and 1. Demons souls incredible...for the time but gets passed up due to ds1 and ds3 doing everything better...in my opinion. Great list as well.
This is honestly the closest ranking to my personal favorites I've seen. Mine is from worst to best 5. Dark souls 2 4. Demon souls 3. Bloodborne 2. Dark souls 3 1. Dark souls
N/A demon souls (not played) 4) Dark souls 2 (Quantity over quality and just felt worse to me) 3) Dark souls (great moments and very bad ones (blighttown, lost izalith, demon ruins and a couple other not so great areas and bosses) 2) Bloodborne (best combat but just preferred dark souls 3) 1) dark souls 3 (consistently good throughout)
Bloodborne has no real magic, fewer weapons and armor. But the setting is just so perfect and the fast combat is superior. Also the mechanic to recover blood after getting hit is amazing. I also love Lovecraft's workand and bloodborne is so much like him. After playing DS, DS, DS2, I was kind of getting used to the games and Bloodborne just felt fresh and exciting again. I was happy that DS3 then borrowed a lot from BB. Especially some leaner faster bosses reminded me of lady maria.
never got really into demon souls, dark souls 1 and 2. But bloodbrone and dark souls 3 are awesome as fuck. nice vid bro, subscribed :D you should do a similar video about the uncharted series
I know this video game out awhile ago but I have to ask if you were to pick one game you'd like to start with should it be bloodborne nioh or dark souls 1
@@racketraccoon519 Too be honest...starting with dark souls 3 wouldnt be a bad choice either. Nioh was a decent and well put together game but felt wayyy too repetitive and monotonous towards the end. Shadows Die Twice comes out in march =)
@@CollectorFanatic101 I'll look more into Shadows Die Twice I've been thinking of getting the dark souls bundle on ps4 but not sure yet tho I definitely will be getting bloodborne
@@racketraccoon519 I think once you play bloodborne and you finish the game, youll get "the souls itch" and just want more and youll end up picking up the souls trilogy.
i must admit, even though I would say I'm a huge fan of the series i've only managed to finish Dark Souls 3. which I'm on my 4th run through. i started with Demon souls and like you kept going and going and after 25 hours beat the first boss, however thats all i played. i really gotta go back and play it. it's about half way through bloodboure, however yet to start DS 1 & 2. need more time in the day haha, really enjoyed the video man
I have yet to finish either Demon's Souls or Dark Souls 3. I should have done the former when I used to have my PS3, but alas, I did not. That being said, while I appreciate Dark Souls 2 and its DLC, I would put it at the bottom of my list. Bloodborne would be next best on the list, followed by Dark Souls 1. I agree with your list, I just have to finish both Demons' Souls and Dark Souls 3.
Great video! The Souls/Borne it´s maybe my favorite serie in video game. I really enjoyed listening your thoughts and feelings about the different games. It´s something that only who played these games can understand and sometimes it´s difficult to put them into words. How you described the differences among these 5 games sounds very professional (nothing to envy to Gameranx or Gamingbolt). Concerning the ranking, I only agree with you for one game. I´m thinking to answer to you with my personal ranking in a short video. Tell what you think about. I´m also curious to know which game you played first, a sort of timeline. This is my timeline: I played Bloodborne first then DS 3 and DS2 on PS4, then DS1 and Demons last
This is the order they´re meant to be played. I discovered this series recently thanks to Bloodborne. I Knew DS1 and DS2 but I never tried them because I was too scared to get frustrated and not being able to progress through the game. I think Bloodborne it´s the perfect entry game for newcomers in this franchise. More Action fast paced than the Souls and with less statistics to worry about. But I can understand that for a Souls Veteran it can be a downside.
i must admit, even though I would say I'm a huge fan of the series i've only managed to finish Dark Souls 3. which I'm on my 4th run through. i started with Demon souls and like you kept going and going and after 25 hours beat the first boss, however thats all i played. i really gotta go back and play it. it's about half way through bloodboure, however yet to start DS 1 & 2. need more time in the day haha, really enjoyed the video man
Bloodborne is a reimagined souls game therefore features you wanted they wanted but scoped them out to focus on quality and ship on time. A sequel would give u most and more of what u wanted in the first.
I’m just going to rank the ones I’ve played cos I haven’t played demon souls or anything, and with me recently finishing Sekiro SDT I’m going to add this on my list too as not many has done this yet! 5th - Dark Souls 2 4th - Bloodborne 3rd - Dark Souls 3 2nd - Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice 1st - Dark Souls/ DS Remastered especially with it now being remastered and added to switch for portable play!
if bloodbourne can be included in the souls series despite not having the word souls in its name, can sekiro be included as well? Noting sekiro is not as similar to souls as bloodbourne is.
Yea id include it. Although Sekiro is widely different, it still shares alot of similarities and has soulsborne DNA throughout. Im 20+ hrs into Sekiro and loving it
5. Bloodborne (controversial I know) This game was an absolute trek to get through all the bosses were tanks and parrying was odd as there were guns to do it with. I didn’t like that. Also wtf is that tiny health bar. 4.demons souls. Just kinda feels like a beta version of dark souls to me. 3.dark souls Great game, but it feels kinda clunky in places compared to the other games. No hate btw, love the game 2.Dark souls 2 I loved dark souls 2 because it was a more open version of ds1, this made the game feel amazing to me, also I liked how easy nashandra was haha. 1. Dark souls 3 Do I even need to explain here. It took everything good form dark souls 1 and 2 and mashed it into one game!!! Loved it and played it through 14 times. I wish there was a blue eye orb though. I love all of these games and I am not hating on bloodborne, it just felt like it was a bit rushed. Nevertheless all of these games are outstanding!
Heres mine, best to worst: 1. Bloodborne - Amazing PvE, good PvP(not the best but still good, very fast paced), deep character customization and progression, hauntingly beautiful setting. Id have to disagree where limited weapon choice is a weakness, bc you commit to developing your best weapons (just about 2-3 main game playthrough) alongside your character, to use them to the maximum effectiveness. 2. Dark Souls - my first souls game, almost gave it up because of that fucking graveyard haha. Good PvE, broken PvP 3. Dark Souls 3 - A good return to form from Ds2, polished mechanics. Okay PvE, leaves something to be desired IMO. Cancer PvP that is pretty fun regardless. 4. Dark souls 2 - copy/paste x# enemies in every room shit PvE, PvP was a good time in its hey day 5. Demons souls - just because ive never played it, nothing to say here.
CollectorFanatic101 yh it changed some of the enemies and routes and dem graphics where amazing... it was actually the first game i played in the series so its high on my list
While I enjoy your list, I have to disagree with a few of the placements. My number 1 is definitely Bloodborne. This is because of the fluidity of the combat as well as boss and level design. While I kind of understand the argument about the lack of weapons, I also disagree, because you essentially have double the weapons of what you said, due to the dual nature of each weapon. Also in terms of builds, there is so much you can do, for example an arcane build where you use an elemental hunter said instead of the generic tonitrus. Number 2 is Dark Souls 3. This is once again due to combat fluidity. While I understand the nostalgia for Dark Souls, I think that the combat in DS3 is just far superior. Additionally, I believe DS3 has superior bosses. When playing through Dark Souls, I felt as though the bosses were really easy and pretty boring. A lot of them have an easy cheesing strategy, and if they don't then their mechanics allow for an easy fight. DS3 had some of the best bosses we've ever seen, with near perfect mechanics and a near perfect combat system to go with it. Number 3 is Dark Souls. The world's interconnectedness is great and all, but the first half of the game is a slog with having to walk from place to place. The live design for each area is phenomenal(Minus the damn lava textures) and I still have fun playing it. I just am easily bored by the bosses and honestly how easy the game really is, despite it being heralded as the "hardest game ever." Last is Dark Souls 2. This was my first Souls game and I really do love it, it just is not as good as all the others. The bosses stink, but the amount of exploration possible is phenomenal, something that is missing in the Souls games. Leveling up at Majula is a bit annoying, but its the same as DS3 so I can't knock it for that. The game is beautiful, and the combat is okay, but the hitboxes can be a little bit wild sometimes. One thing it does definitely have over the original is the pace of combat. In DS I feel like I have to cower behind a shield for hours until and opportunity to attack arrives. However, in DS2 thanks to the increased pace of the game, it allows for me to dodge around enemies while two-handing a weapon. Also I personally think the magic in this game is better too, but because of lousy level design, minus the exploration aspect, and the pretty crappy bosses, it lands at the bottom of my list. I've never played Demon Souls so I can't rank it
And we, (demon souls fans), pray for a remastered demon souls for PS4.... 😍 >>> I hope One day, people will have the opportunity to play the Dark souls grandparent " DEMON SOULS " .
Rumor is BluePoint games, the guys behind the Shadow of Colossus remake, are actually remaking demons souls. Too be honest I dont want a remaster anyways. Id rather a full remake with the same engine as dark souls 3 or bloodborne
Dark Souls 3 is really pretty, but its combat system just lacks depth, rewards you for taking risks and being impatient, its characters are mostly bad (WTF was Andre doind there?), and you run through most of the areas. Still good though, but also my personal last pick out of the three DS bros
I liked the combat system but yeah, everyone has their opinions. Andre and Patches are in nearly every game, they are the icons if DS series but i got you My least fav souls game is DS2
I respect your opinion, but I have to disagree. I'd say to me it would be: 1)Bloodborne 2)Demons Souls 3)Dark Souls 1 4)Dark Souls 3 5)Shit 6)Dark Souls 2
You said Bloodborne "cant stand next to the others". Well I guess everyone has a right to be wrong....lol. bloodborne is FROMSOFTS masterpiece. I doubt they'll ever top it. The DS games are great but they are basically the same game with new bosses and areas. Bloodborne was all new and the first game I ever platinumed or ever wanted to
5 deamon souls I dont like the healing system 4 blood born I love to much the medieval settings of the other games to place it higer 3 dark souls 2 I realy love the pvp and dlc in it 2 dark souls even if the second half is less polish 1 dark soul 3 it rely a bit to much on the fan service but the gameplay is amazing
Mine goes Demon's souls, Dark Souls 2, Dark Souls 3, Dark Souls and Bloodborne. Bloodborne's combat is amazing. Demon's souls graphics and mechanics feel really old, and the UI sucks. I'm just waiting for Armored Core 6 honestly
Great review but wow everyone is rankinh ds3 2nd i started off with the third one and moving down ds3 and ds2 but for some reason i enjoy dark souls 2 more just the coop/multiplayer is horrible
Not agree with first place! For me, its 1. Demon's Souls (first one is alwais Best, because its FIRST, something new. All others games in series use all mechanics and bosses, one way or another, that first game reveal) 2. Dark Soul's. 3. Dark Soul's 3. 4. Dark Soul's 2 (the worst of the series). Didn't play Bloodbourne. Third game take and use 50% of the whole world from past games! NPC and Bosses too!
Nahhh...that was my opinion at the time. Its changed for sure but I still wouldnt rank bloodborne at #1. Its great but I hated the PvP. DS3 is still my #1
This is my personal ranking: 5° Dark Souls 2, for the exactly same reasons that you

game to play especially the PS4 Edition with the 3 dlcs. 4° Demons Souls,

one remains the best game of all. And I could also agree with that, but again
maybe because I had already played 3 games, I was already experienced and I
defeated most of the boss on the first attempt. 2° Dark Souls 3, as you said
this game it´s almost perfect, takes the best from all other 4 games. It´s
challenging but never unfair. 1° Bloodborne, it was the first game that I
played and I will never forget the feeling of beating for the first time the
Cleric Beast, or after hours spent in Central Yharnam being able to open the first

Ds1 has the Better world. Explain how Lost Izslith is great

3: Dark Souls III -The best bosses and endgame
2: Dark Souls -The best level design, mid-game and arguably lore
1: Bloodborne -The best atmosphere, gameplay, early-game and arguably lore
If DS1 wasn't so clunky today (4-directional move patterns, slow menu, and the slow pace compared to BB and DS3) it would EASILY be my number one. It's my favourite for sure, but too flawed for me to consider it better than BB, a game that is almost perfect (especially with The Old Hunters). But the bosses are SO good, I'd wish they were in another game!
You sir have earned yourself a sub... I haven't played DS3 yet but DS1 and DS are tops.
Thank you! Its my favorite series. Nothing comes close to it

The areas in dark souls 3 are just bland.
My List:
5. Dark Souls II: It just feels...terrible. It almost feels copy and pasted with a few extra kinks. The fact that they re-skined Ornstein into a weakass fight just irritates me
4. Demon Souls:
3: Bloodborne: I honestly prefer this over Demon Souls mainly because of the combat.
1)ds1
2)ds3
3)bloodborne
4)ds2
My list (not played DS):
4: Dark souls 2
3: Blood Bourne
2: Dark souls 3
1: Dark souls 1
I guess I prefer a medieval theme.
What?????
jacoblupera lupera just my opinion.
The medieval theme is far superior though.
1. Bloodborne
2. Bloodborne
3. Bloodborne
4. Bloodborne
5.Bloodborne!
Right now I'm playing through the series. I beat Bloodborne first, then Demon's Souls, now I'm on Dark Souls. So far Dark Souls is my favorite.
I saw that 90+ graded Bloodborne Saw Clever variant on ebay a long time ago and I regret not picking it up. Do you still own it, and if so would you consider selling it?
Nice presentation, i was about to buy ds 3 for the first time as a souls game and this convinced me, thanks
I personally think that Bloodborne should be placed higher.
My ranking goes Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Dark Souls 3, Demons Souls, and Dark Souls 2.
The Key Archer ew blood born
Grant Booth BB is awesome
Subscribed just cause of the reason you put ds3 at the top
My opinion:
5. DS2
4. DaS1
3. DeS
2. DS3
3. BLOODBORNE
You ment 1 not 3
5. Dark Souls 2
4. Demon's Souls
3. Dark Souls 3
2. Dark Souls
1. Bloodborne
Edited a year later...
my ranking :
#1 Dark Souls 1.
#2 Bloodborne
#3 Dark souls 3
#4 Demon's Souls
#5 Dark Souls 2
Yes I agree with you. Many people say that Bloodborne is better than DS3, but Bloodborne is just not suited for me. I think DS3 has better boss fights, better soundtracks and world design. Also my favourite bosses are in the DS3 as well, Dancer of Borreal Valley and Nameless King.
Anyway, great video and good review!
awesome video dude... some great rationally for ur choices... love that HUGE Ds3 collectors box!
for me.
2, bloodborne, 3, dark, demon's.
Thanks dude!!! Always appreciated. Youre list is great too. I really wanted to give dark souls 1 the win but ultimately couldnt...DS3 won over my heart. The DLC looks insane!
it does look epic, if u fancy some dirty coop just hit me up on Twitter!
Hell yea...it needs to hurry up. LOL my favorite spot to PVP is at anor londo with someone and dressing like smaugh and ornstein
anor Londo in 3?! sounds fucking funny, u need to share that to TH-cam!!! ah another friendly pvp matc... WHAT THE ****?!?!?! lol
yea in 3. It always funny to watch ppl freak out when they see smaugh and ornstein...usually we wreck them. It might be trolling but its hilarious
Mine would have to go
5 Demons Souls
4 Dark Souls 2
3 Dark souls 3
2 Bloodborne
1 Dark Souls
All are very good though and I flip flop my rankings sometimes.
I was waiting for this vid brother
well?! how does it hold up to your ranking?
I'd go ds2 ds3 demon's souls bloodborne and dark souls 1 it was my first one and you never forget you're first
Yea i really had a hard time picking between ds3 and 1. Demons souls incredible...for the time but gets passed up due to ds1 and ds3 doing everything better...in my opinion. Great list as well.
I loved ds3 but I found I replayed it less then ds1 and bloodborne it can put my finger on why that is tho
Im not sure....it could be the 100s of hours poured into the other ones have maybe taken its toll on the series...idk. BUT im excited for the dlc
1. Dark Souls
2. Dark Souls 3
3. Bloodborne
4. Demon Souls
5. Dark Souls 2
What is dark souls remastered?
This is honestly the closest ranking to my personal favorites I've seen. Mine is from worst to best
5. Dark souls 2
4. Demon souls
3. Bloodborne
2. Dark souls 3
1. Dark souls
N/A demon souls (not played)
4) Dark souls 2 (Quantity over quality and just felt worse to me)
3) Dark souls (great moments and very bad ones (blighttown, lost izalith, demon ruins and a couple other not so great areas and bosses)
2) Bloodborne (best combat but just preferred dark souls 3)
1) dark souls 3 (consistently good throughout)
Bloodborne has no real magic, fewer weapons and armor. But the setting is just so perfect and the fast combat is superior. Also the mechanic to recover blood after getting hit is amazing. I also love Lovecraft's workand and bloodborne is so much like him. After playing DS, DS, DS2, I was kind of getting used to the games and Bloodborne just felt fresh and exciting again. I was happy that DS3 then borrowed a lot from BB. Especially some leaner faster bosses reminded me of lady maria.
never got really into demon souls, dark souls 1 and 2.
But bloodbrone and dark souls 3 are awesome as fuck.
nice vid bro, subscribed :D
you should do a similar video about the uncharted series
Vaas HD my dude...you need to go back and play atleast dark souls 1 and demons souls. you wont regret it
I know this video game out awhile ago but I have to ask if you were to pick one game you'd like to start with should it be bloodborne nioh or dark souls 1
Id go with bloodborne
@@CollectorFanatic101 wow thank you for replying and thank you for the suggestion too!
Tell what you think
about. I´m also curious to know which game you played first, a sort of timeline. This is my timeline: I played Bloodborne first then DS 3 and DS2 on PS4, then DS1 and Demons last
I played them in the order they released. 1.Demons Souls. 2.Dark Souls 3.Dark Souls 2 4.Bloodborne. 5.Dark Souls 3
This is the order they´re meant to be played. I discovered this series recently thanks to Bloodborne. I Knew DS1 and DS2 but I never tried them because I was too scared to get frustrated and not being able
to progress through the game. I think Bloodborne it´s the perfect entry game for newcomers in this franchise. More Action fast paced than the Souls and with less statistics to worry about. But I can understand that for a Souls Veteran it can be a downside.
i must admit, even though I would say I'm a huge fan of the series i've only managed to finish Dark Souls 3. which I'm on my 4th run through. i started with Demon souls and like you kept going and going and after 25 hours beat the first boss, however thats all i played. i really gotta go back and play it. it's about half way through bloodboure, however yet to start DS 1 & 2. need more time in the day haha, really enjoyed the video man
strange i can't post a new comment but can reply to one lol
Bloodborne is a reimagined souls game therefore features you wanted they wanted but scoped them out to focus on quality and ship on time. A sequel would give u most and more of what u wanted in the first.
I’m just going to rank the ones I’ve played cos I haven’t played demon souls or anything, and with me recently finishing Sekiro SDT I’m going to add this on my list too as not many has done this yet!
5th - Dark Souls 2
4th - Bloodborne
3rd - Dark Souls 3
2nd - Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
1st - Dark Souls/ DS Remastered especially with it now being remastered and added to switch for portable play!
Nice ranking! Im currently playing sekiro at the moment. Im about 15-20 hrs in and im loving it
if bloodbourne can be included in the souls series despite not having the word souls in its name, can sekiro be included as well? Noting sekiro is not as similar to souls as bloodbourne is.
Yea id include it. Although Sekiro is widely different, it still shares alot of similarities and has soulsborne DNA throughout. Im 20+ hrs into Sekiro and loving it
5. Bloodborne (controversial I know)
This game was an absolute trek to get through all the bosses were tanks and parrying was odd as there were guns to do it with. I didn’t like that.
Also wtf is that tiny health bar.
4.demons souls.
Just kinda feels like a beta version of dark souls to me.
3.dark souls
Great game, but it feels kinda clunky in places compared to the other games. No hate btw, love the game
2.Dark souls 2
I loved dark souls 2 because it was a more open version of ds1, this made the game feel amazing to me, also I liked how easy nashandra was haha.
1. Dark souls 3
Do I even need to explain here.
Theres no wrong answer. Good choice for #1 =)
5. Demon Souls (I'm sorry I just couldn't get that into it)
4. Dark Souls 2
3. Dark Souls
2. Dark Souls 3
1. Bloodborne
Arnold Steinburgerson lol DS3 is a fake DS1
Personally i would agree to this list but i would switch demon souls and dark souls 2
Yeah I feel you bro Demon's Souls, especially nowadays, just feels old
Wow... that's exactly my ranking :0
This is my ranking but switch 5 and 4
Heres mine, best to worst:
Good PvE, broken PvP
3. Dark Souls 3 - A good return to form from Ds2, polished mechanics. Okay PvE, leaves something to be desired IMO. Cancer PvP that is pretty fun regardless.
4. Dark souls 2 - copy/paste x# enemies in every room shit PvE, PvP was a good time in its hey day
5. Demons souls - just because ive never played it, nothing to say here.
Agree with your list completely!
Thanks dude. Glad you enjoyed it
Keep up the great vids man
4-Dark Souls 2
3-Dark Souls 3
2-Bloodborne
1-Dark Souls 1
My list
5.demon souls
4.dark souls 2
3.dark souls
2.darksouls 3
1.bloodborne
Are you counting scholar of the first sin with 2? Id consider it a seperate game
WhiteDusk nope. Scholar of the first sin was actually really well done.
CollectorFanatic101 yh it changed some of the enemies and routes and dem graphics where amazing... it was actually the first game i played in the series so its high on my list
WhiteDusk i could see why and thats cool. Demons souls was my first. Ive basically played them in order upon release. Havent played DS3 DLC yet tho
CollectorFanatic101 i only just got hold of dark souls 3 yesturday... its living up to the hype
WhiteDusk its soo good. Everything about it is amazing
5. Demon's souls
4. Dark souls 2
3. Dark souls 1/remasterd
2. Bloodborne
1. Dark souls 3
I just am easily bored by the bosses and honestly how easy the game really is, despite it being heralded as the "hardest game ever."
Last is Dark Souls 2.
I've never played Demon Souls so I can't rank it
5:dark souls 2
4:demon souls
3:dark souls 1
2:dark souls 3

And we, (demon souls fans), pray for a remastered demon souls for PS4.... 😍 >>> I hope One day, people will have the opportunity to play the Dark souls grandparent " DEMON SOULS " .
Rumor is BluePoint games, the guys behind the Shadow of Colossus remake, are actually remaking demons souls. Too be honest I dont want a remaster anyways. Id rather a full remake with the same engine as dark souls 3 or bloodborne
2:55
"Or perhaps even a magic wielding mage casting lightning spears."
Excuse me?
From least to greatest for me is
Dark souls 2
Demon Souls
Bloodborne
Dark souls
Dark souls 3
5. DES
4. DS2
3. DS3
2. DS1
1. BB
You're talking with your hands but not at the camera.
TheWisdomOfSilenus LOL good eye
CollectorFanatic101 lol, all good. Well put vid.
everyone has different opinions.
mine is:
weakest is part 3
best is part one
dark souls 3 is garbage
not realy garbage but its the worst in this series
Why tho ?
i played all souls games but bloodborne
DS3>DS1>DeS>DS2 for me
Dark Souls 3 is really pretty, but its combat system just lacks depth, rewards you for taking risks and being impatient, its characters are mostly bad (WTF was Andre doind there?), and you run through most of the areas. Still good though, but also my personal last pick out of the three DS bros
I liked the combat system but yeah, everyone has their opinions. Andre and Patches are in nearly every game, they are the icons if DS series but i got you
My least fav souls game is DS2
I believe this ranking is very accurate. DS1 and DS3 is debatable still. It's hard to say...
MrRNDubleBarrel indeed. Its a solid tie between the two
i would easily choose 3 though.
oh yes world tendency was amazing when i figured out what it does👌
Games so far that I have played
1: Darksouls
2:bloodborne
3:darksouls 3
4darksouls3
My ranking is personally, Ds3, Ds1, Ds2, demon souls, blood born. (Best to worst)
At 1:13 you can see he's reading his phone
Good eye...but it actually my script =D
My ranking (best to worst):
5) Dark Souls 2
4)Bloodborne
3)Dark Souls 3
2)Demon Souls
1)Dark Souls
I magic321toad I
1. Dark Souls 3
2. Dark Souls 2
3. Dark Souls 1
I haven't played Demon or Bloodborne...
i love the first 2 areas in dark souls 3. The Swamp and the underground caverns almost ruin it for me
BB>DS>DS3>DS>DS2
I respect your opinion, but I have to disagree.
I'd say to me it would be:
1)Bloodborne
2)Demons Souls
3)Dark Souls 1
4)Dark Souls 3
5)Shit
6)Dark Souls 2
Dark Souls 1 > Dark Souls 3 = Demon Souls > Dark Souls 2 (Didn't play Bloodborne so I'll leave that out)
I can't wait to get a ps4 so i can play games like Bloodborne...
Matthew Waterton its free with ps plus right now
Its just unlucky yeah but i don't have a ps4 tho
that sucks
5. Dark souls 2 (worst)
4. Demon souls
3. Dark souls 1
2. Blood borne
1. Dark souls 3 (best)
you sound like george knapp :)
bmf 456 i am george knapp
You said Bloodborne "cant stand next to the others". Well I guess everyone has a right to be wrong....lol. bloodborne is FROMSOFTS masterpiece. I doubt they'll ever top it. The DS games are great but they are basically the same game with new bosses and areas. Bloodborne was all new and the first game I ever platinumed or ever wanted to
From worst to best (haven't played demon souls)
Ds1
Bloodborne
Ds2
Ds3
ds1 last place but ds2 2nd ? wtf
Bloodborne is one and then the rest
Dark Souls 3 over Dark Souls1 Seriously????
I preffer DS3 than DS1 also.
You’re speaking as if 3 isnt amazing... It literally has the best bosses in the entire series... and don’t even get me started on that godlike music!
5 deamon souls I dont like the healing system
4 blood born I love to much the medieval settings of the other games to place it higer
3 dark souls 2 I realy love the pvp and dlc in it
2 dark souls even if the second half is less polish
1 dark soul 3 it rely a bit to much on the fan service but the gameplay is amazing
Bloodborne is my least favorite because it’s too scary for me😁
Hey, welcome to the future,2 months till Ds1 remaster, throw ur money down.....NOW!
Am I the only one who likes DS1 the least? (Still love the game to bits)
Juice Cream nahh im sure youre not alone...just look at the comments. What makes the souls series so great is we love them all.
I have only played bloodborne.
I fully agree with you! Sub
Great video bro, although I disagree about ds2
hey CF101 what's your PSN if you don't mind?
sk8ordie69420. If you add me just let me know who you are
I will put bloodborne at the first place
4 ds2
3 ds
2 bloodborne
1 ds3
Havent played demon soulss
best is ds2 in my opinion least fav ds3 ds1 is in. the middle
Dark Souls 2 is good. I find Dark Souls 1 to be the worst
He said bloodbourne is number 4 just for the comments or he just noob
Nahhh...that was my opinion at the time. Its changed for sure but I still wouldnt rank bloodborne at #1. Its great but I hated the PvP. DS3 is still my #1
