Mid-1980s Joy Junction Episode (Anger)

First off, I can't say I have many of these due to a DVR most of these were on crashing and the show being pulled from the CTN Saturday morning lineup. Anyway, in my attempt to expand the lineup somewhat, here's an episode from about the mid-1980s of Joy Junction (the uncertain date owes to CTN apparently lopping off the last part of the credits {where the year would be shown on copyright}). We start with Papillon giving an explanation on whether anger is sinful or not; only to get himself (and the audience) more confused.
After meeting the crew ("Sheriff" Don MacAllister; Forrest Padley as Professor Klodhopper; Ron DiSanto as Papillon; Ron Brown {Ron and Marty}; David Brantley as Whittler Dan; Les Padley as the Deputy Les {seen with increasingly less frequency as the show went on}; and soloists Darsi Wilson and Sarah Edens; we get underway with the introduction of Ashley (blue team) and Stacy (red) for our first game -- but not before our prize plug. The game (putting paper towels together to give a loose translation of Proverbs 16:32) is won by the red team. Professor Klodhopper then appears with the classic "baking soda/vinegar" experimental (having poured baking soda into an old Mrs. Butterworth bottle); followed by Darsi singing the Kathy Trocolli classic "Stubborn Love" (from Kathy's debut album; not sure if this aired that way but the trax seems to have some audio issues).
We then get a visit from Mrs. ??? (unknown kid; not named in credits); then Whittler Dan's new RC car sets the stage for a story followed by the red team's Shawn and the blue team's Paul in a game involving who can fill the most cups with Pepsi (advantage: Red)
Following the intermission (a "kid-on-the-playground" interview with several small kids on spiritual matters); Papillon provides a picture to go along with the lesson on anger. There's also a plug for the Joy Junction mailbox club (with a graphic updated sometime in the 1990s), a visit with Ron and Marty and finally the Bible Pumper (Shawn and Paul return for their teams) in which (after the Blue team ties it at 40) the Red team pulls away at the end to win 60-40. Sheriff Don closes with explaining the topic and reminding us to "put God first".

I used to watch this show when I was a kid, every Saturday at my grandparents' house, and I never would have thought that Ron the ventriloquist had that kind of sick s#*t in his head all those years. That's scary. Good thing he was put away before he could actually hurt any of those poor kids. We can all thank God for that.

Did not know this until going to one of the cringevenom vids with Ron and Marty, but Ron Brown got arrested not long ago in a sting for an online chat with other child pornographers in which Brown mentioned kidnapping, rape, murder and eating young potential victims (thank God he got caught before carrying it out).
Suddenly that explains why the Joy Junction repeats suddenly vanished off CTN. Ugh, that's its own level of disgusting.

Its a shame so many of you want to bash this show based on 1 man's actions. I knew alot of these adults as I attended childrens church with them through my childhood years a few yrs after it went off the air. Including Ron thankfully nothing happened, but these people put their heart and soul into teaching young people. I don't know where I would have been without them. Stop judging all of them on 1 man's actions

    UPDATE REGARDING RON BROWN:
As of August, 2020, Ron Brown Brown, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison for possession of child porn and other crimes is listed on the U.S. Bureau of Prisons website as Deceased.
No cause of death is given.
That said, this show should not be defined by the actions of Ron Brown. His actions occured around 20 years after the production of Joy Junction ended.
While it may be easy to say "good riddance" to him, as a Christian, my only hope is that when he passed from this world, that he did so forgiven by God (Yes, God does save and redeem ANYone who is repentant and believes.).

      I doubt it
Child molesters (including potential molesters like him) are looked down on among fellow inmates (because many prisoners have their own kids).
Fellow inmates will have little to lose (especially if serving life) by attacking and killing child molesting inmates.
So for that reason, convicted molesters are usually locked up in solitary 23 hours a day, with one hour in a small separate excercise yard.

IS IT REALLY RATIONAL OR FAIR TO JUDGE THIS SHOW, THE ENTIRE CAST, OR ALL CHRISTIANS ON ONE MAN'S ACTIONS? If you have any rational, you know it isn't. At the time this show was made, nobody knew of what George was up to. We can be thankful nothing ever happened.
It's similar to Bill Cosby. At the time "The Cosby Show" was produced, Bill was a well respected guy. He was in Jell-o commercials, on The Electric Company, and other shows. Nobody knew of his dark secret.
