Wow!That's something many wouldn't believe!I had been in Nagaland as Student for 5 years n had many close friends,travelled the length n breadth of state but never heard of.The state is immensely blessed by Almighty God because He loves Nagas,May Nagas prosper ahead 🙏--❤From Meghalaya.

So i can only guess that that the total reserve is very low and economically not viable to extract. 2.People are saying BJP is coming, America is coming... America is not coming to a strong country like India to invade. We are no Iraq, Syria, etc etc ....and About BJP ... bro its the government of India whether you like it or not. Be it Congress or BJP , they will surely get the ownership rights under the rules. 3. Without the intervention of the Government, ONGC , OIL ... the local people can't purify it to use it as petrol in their vehicles. They can use it for cooking or related fire purposes only. 4. Whole Arakan Yoma range (part of the Himalaya) has a high chance of storing good reserves of oil. Its normal for those who know.

Nothing will come out of it unless Nagaland allows ONGC or OIL for hydrocarbon exploration. This is not like coal that you dig by hand and sell it directly to people. It requires lot of scientific and technological expertise along with risk capacity (money) to explore and produce hydrocarbons. Unless immediate permit is not received for exploration it will be almost too late for Nagaland as world has already begun moving away from hydrocarbons.

It is also learnt that assam has already started extracting the oil from their side since Chanpang is just above Nagapat, assam. We have to do away with our tribal mindset in order for our state to develop.
