She was killed because of her scent, the people who have owned these monkeys and have dressed them in clothing also tend to use either scented soaps or soaps made specifically for pet use - which has chemicals to keep their skin from becoming dry and to kill fleas, etc. - which is fine in an environment such as a home, BUT, when released back into their natural environment, (the forest), their scent makes them a target and is why they are immediately 'set upon', (attacked), by the monkeys native to that area.
Yaya is the best and is so full of life. Never have to feel unsafe or that she could unpredictably hurt you like shally would. Exactly why the kids gravitate towards her so easily and don’t really interact with shally which isn’t surprising at all
