    I just called an ordered one. The website says it’s $299, however when I got ready to pay he (the inventor) said the website wasn’t current pricing. It was upward of $500 now, shipped. I ordered it anyway because PTO is the biggest PITA thing for me so I’m sure it’ll be worth it in the long run. The gentleman on the phone did say that over time it’ll rust a little but to keep it coated with penetrating oil and it should be fine. Time will tell….. Hoping it turns out to be a worthwhile purchase. Thanks for the video…

    I had not seen this one before. I am familiar with the PTO Link and I just installed the John Deere Quik-Knect (most expensive of the 3). What I like about this one and the PTO Link is the ease of installation. With the JD you have to take the old coupler off your implement PTO shaft by removing the u-joint and installing the Quik Knect. That means it's not easily transferred between implements. I do believe all 3 are great products and makes things easier for those of us with disabilities to use our tractors more. Not all of us can hook one up in 40 seconds.

      I understand the guards, but I tell you it makes it difficult to put on a PTO shaft. I have tried a couple PTO Quick Attach Adapters, but this is the simplest and easiest I have tried.

      @@TonysTractorAdventure Once it’s installed I think the Quik Kinect is the easiest to hook up - just slide it on. To disconnect just push the button and slide it off. The installation is what is complicated.

    Just weld 1 3/8" ID x 3/4" thick smooth bore collar to implement side splined yoke. Now you have a female pitot, cost about $5

      The primary reason most folks have a hard time attaching to their PTO shaft is because they never clean and grease it. If the shaft is cleaned and greased regularly and the lock pins oiled, then there's no need for these quick attach products.

    This looks great, and I was hoping that it was going to be less expensive than the red PTO quick coupler that I've seen on other videos. Sadly, it's not (actually about $5 more), though perhaps this one is better in build or design -- I don't know. Also, the other one has a web site from which people can order at their leisure, even accepting PayPal. I read what he said about wanting to have personal contact, but he also needs to consider convenience for his potential customers. I wish him all the best, but I would suggest he rethink the price, and get a quality website up and running. (And as with the other brand, I wish I could justify the cost -- just too rich for my blood!)

      I understand. It has sure made my life easier. I am thinking about buying more of the adapters. When I take into account the amount I have spent on tractors and equipment, it seems worth the cost. I really hate putting the PTO shaft on with the standard set up.

    I forgot to push the pin down on my implement when I connected it to my tractor PTO shaft. It began to spin and then BANG, it stopped. There is nothing visibly broken but now the shaft does not spin and the PTO Light is blinking. What could have happened? Is it a simple fix? is it an electrical issue or is it an issue form when i connected it incorrectly?

    • @stevenshook3348
      @stevenshook3348 ปีที่แล้ว

      Did it "bang" soon after lifting the implement? If yes, then the shaft of the implement probably compressed against the tractor's PTO shaft and damaged the PTO's drive gear inside the housing. The PTO seal probably got mucked up, too.

    The added length projects it from the safety shielding on the tractor. Thus rendering it unsafe past factory design perramitors. This expensive "mirrical wonder device" needs to be sent out with a shroud-guard-extension to be back to factory & safety parameters. Right back to square one "so called difficulties. So just grease your splines,couplings & joints, be careful, be thorough, be agile and you will be GOOD to go for the same next "one hundred years". I myself have never spent more than 40 seconds hooking up "The old fashioned way".

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I appreciate your point of view, but I disagree with you on just about everything. The shielding makes it almost impossible to get my hands in. It is extremely hard on the little tractors. I also find it odd people worry about the tiny bit of green showing on the shaft all while a flail mower turns behind the operator at 1200 RPM. That is the part I worry about.
