A God Button and Some Old Coins Metal Detecting a 1700's Field

- Join my wife Persis and I on a series of metal detecting adventures as we hunt all sorts of locations. We both use a Minelab Equinox 800 to find old relics, coins and jewelry.
Persis and I were invited to join the Granite State Treasure Hunters Club, a metal detecting club that is celebrating it's 50th anniversary this year. Today was our first group hunt, but unfortunately Persis had prior commitments with her work and couldn't join us. We're out in an old 1700's farm field where I find a really cool button and some nice coins.

Will definitely say hello to Persis for you! Hunting with the group is fun, though not much different from our normal hunts, as everyone seems to go off in different directions. But there will be some fun seeded hunts coming up, which we've always wanted to try. Sadly the thimble was just aluminum. Thanks a bunch Maria! 🙋♀️🙋❤️

I’m glad you included the washer finds. My end reviews would look like the first part of yours… “Here’s the aluminum, brass and iron”. I’ve never found a button and the people here in the past must not have had coins to lose.

2 slivers and cool buttons not to bad ! I thought you were supposed to bend spoons with your mind not with your hands or something like that ! Yeah, it looks like you almost dug the China with that one wheat penny 😮 way to stay with it I’ve dug holes like that before myself, for less than a penny😊have a great week! MC&TT 🐆

Great group hunt, It's always fun to detect with other like minded people. Thanks for sharing some of their finds as well, i love the shot penny still havent found any holed or shot coins. You found some silvers and one is a Merc so thats a great day in my book! Keep up the great work!

@MetalMikeandPersis that's true bc I dug up like 30 nails the other day 🤪 and a Shovel head that was about 10 inches down from 1920 it was barely a Shovel head lol
