  • @ginojaco

    Always buy a Toyota, a Hilux or - best - Land Cruiser, anything else is pointless out of town. For water, set up a filtration & boiling system or UV to make it potable, Katadyn is good for travels. Solar is good , but you need a back up if you haven't got really good batteries. Don't ever pay until you have had work done... this is modern Zimbabwe. 👍

    Well presented snapshot of the essential aspects of returning to Zim from the diaspora. People forget that the same home comforts they had abroad may not be present in the same way in Zim. One has to adapt and adjust to the new environment and live within their means. It’s not a competition at all.

      @johnchimbani8473 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Please don’t take my comment the wrong way. Doing your own research is always best. Many times, we are lazy and just ask someone. Just because he has done it before, does not mean he did it in the best or in the most affordable way. The way things work in zim, when you ask someone for help, they generally add their own cut which ends up making it more expensive for you.

    • @francinemackenzie7306
      @francinemackenzie7306 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@johnchimbani8473 No offence taken, but I have already been doing my research prior to this video, so I can assure you that I’m not being lazy! There is nothing wrong with asking a question or needing help or a point in the right direction.If it’s a No -I understand. If someone has done it before, it could mean they have used legitimate trustworthy people / a company to export their goods . There is nothing worse than losing your money trying people/ companies that end up scamming you.

      I was there 2 years ago. I rented a car for the weekend. I wanted to return the car after 1 day, but i ended up having to pay for 2 days because i was going to return exactly at the same time i picked it up. I ended up paying 300 bucks plus another 150 or so for fuel and other costs. There were other shady private peeps renting out cars for 75 bucks a day. Point being if you going to zim, find a relative or friend with a second car you can use while you are there.
