This song changed my life. I sat in my vehicle one evening after having a beer. Wondering if this was it, is this my life. I heard of Jesus at the time, that’s as close as i was to him at the time and that was just a name. So I asked him. If you’re real Jesus please show me. After a few more beers I scrolled though the radio to find a song I could chill to. This song came on. He dared me to move. So I talked with him all evening. Told him everything. I excepted Jesus into my heart that summer. Married, beautiful children. He is real, he is Alive, he is coming soon. Repent. Talk to him. Get to him. He loves you.
Same with 57. Don‘t forget Alterbridge. On the Alterbridge opening tour, Switchfoot was supporting band in Berlin. We met all the guys after the gig. Would love to give them a big hug again.
If only they knew what this song done to me only at 10 years old crying to it and not even knowing the true meaning then years later at the age of 17 I found Christ & I remember hearing this song fresh when I had the wisdom to understand it and I broke down in tears bc it’s been God all along trying to find me and speak to me 🥺. This song and this band truly means everything to me.
Was there this night. This song is truly timeless. Timeless band, timeless song and timeless message. Thank you Switchfoot for 25 years of unrelenting music.
This was the song at CCC my counselor played one morning during devotional at the beginning of the week of work. I think we replaced the floor in a bathroom and the wax ring and toilet of an elderly couple. Later that week the Holy Spirit led me to know Jesus' sacrifice. I was saved that thrusday night in the NC mountains and have never looked back. Jesus is my treasure and my hope. Thank y'all for making this song. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!
Heard it the first time in a prison cell serving a life sentence. Took the dare. Been out for over 12 years against all odds. Drug free living a life I never dreamed possible. Got to see the boys twice in four years with my beautiful wife. Prayer works. Positive things happen if you just get up off the floor peace ✌️
I discovered this song when I was dealing with fresh wounds and fresh PTSD after nearly dying in a machine. I was a zombie, half dead, only physically alive. The lyrics spoke like they were written for only my ears. I just published a book I wrote and illustrated. It has nothing to do with my accident. It is my calling to teach and inspire. Its a homeschool book to inspire the next generation to live more purposefully and in tune with creation. Thank you for writing this song.
My best friend died when I was 9, this song was a way to cope for a long time I’d make my dad stay on the radio channel for hours on the road hoping it’d just come on. Was a song that has a deep memory in me due to how much healing and comfort it gave me. R.I.P Tommy I love you hope you’re flying high
I heard this song for the first time just recently but it instantly connected me to the moment when I gave birth to my son 9 years ago, after waiting for so long..
Music is eternal. God was being worshipped by his angels before we were breathing air. When we sing and make music; the noise we make is from the air that God breathed into us. In Him we live and move and have our being. I dare you all to move towards the love and forgiveness of God! Galatians 2:20!!
I took my daughter to her first concert to see Switchfoot. She was so young then but I could see how this music affected her. She is now a successful talented musician, singer songwriter. I always go back to these songs when I need to lift my soul. Thank you Switchfoot for your wonderful songs. ❤

Time flies, ups and downs, tears of sorrow, tears of joy and happiness...sitting on the balcony alone staring at the moon and this song pop up on the phone brings back all my childhood days, now got a lovely wife and a son. God you really are incredible. God bless everyone.❤
Switchfoot was the first band I ever saw live shortly after this album came out. Now I’m in my 30s and am holding my son while I watch this video, and I can’t wait to share my music with him someday (even if he thinks its weird and lame because I’m his dad). Thanks for the years, guys!
This song spoke to my soul during some very dark times - when I felt no power to ever even imagine anything beyond the pain of the inescapable happening. Music was also my safe space. I could feel - even when I didn’t understand or have words. Thanks for singing these words into my soul back then.
I happen to know a few people struggling with addictions. Thank goodness I don't struggle with addiction but it could be anything anxiety, ptsd, abuse. This song is always my go to when someone hits rock bottom. Jon Foreman connects with people in ways that can't be faked. Thank you Jon for your gift. Everyone please take a narcan class. It's a solution that saves lives. Also look out for people trying to make a change. Understand the 12 steps. You too can save lives. I saved 2 in 2 weeks. Just being there is huge.
I was an atheist for 25+ years and deeply anti-Christian. but at my lowest point in life, in August 2020, I decided to cry out to God for the first time ever - a God I didn't even really believe in. What happened next changed my life forever. I felt the Holy Spirit come upon me, physically, like electricity, and I felt my entire body flooded by love, like God had been waiting for my entire life to say "hi". I wept and I repented, despite not even knowing what 'repenting' was at that time. Soon after, I saw signs and wonders happen in real life that cemented my faith in Him - impossible things that happened, with witnesses. Today I serve in full-time ministry and I've never looked back. God changed my life; He saved me. And I am forever grateful to Him. God is love. God is real. Jesus is Lord. If you're ever feeling lost in life, I ask you please - try crying out to God with a sincere heart. Seek Him, ask Him to reveal Himself, and offer to let Him lead the way for you. I promise you, with every ounce of my being, that God hears and God will respond. And He WILL transform you with His love. God bless you!
Switchfoot and Relient K were my gateway bands into playing music. Still love both even though I turned out being a progressive metal artist. I love what they both did for me as an early vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter and they propelled me into the direction I am now. Thank you for years of amazing music since I was a very young man.
