Reliable, Sporty, Quick, Great Daily, and Great value for the price tag. Especially if you live in areas where you have all 4 seasons especially when the winter and fall is typically on the nastier side this is perfect.

@@motomouth33 Compared to The rest of the field comparing it with Merc and BMW competitors Audi has proven to be more reliable along with depreciating much slower then BMW's. Merc coming out with the A35 AMG is there take on a more reliable AMG entry level car where before the amg cla45 was ver unreliable it had to much power for a 4cylinder along with to much psi.

@@vali69 Keyless / start button was cool when it was new, nowadays almost every car has this and thieves specialized to use it for stealing cars. Personally I find that turning a key to start you car to be more satisfying than pressing a button.
ghp0518 for me it's more satisfying to open and start the car without searching the key in my jacket
Yeah, mine came with every bloody extra apart from the keyless, but I am glad cos it makes things a little easier for potential car thieves, and no effin thief is getting my Nano
@@TheTyro88 Poor guy!! That makes me poor too then, but my second car is a 1984 Carrera 3.2. I do love the Auto box in mine, as in any driving mode it is slick and smooth. Audi did a good job with the 2018 S3

@@DreckigerDan 50k€ with some good optionals (B&O, magnetic dampers, sporty leather seats, side-assist) - it's not really cheap for most people out there. Even if you go with leasing.

In US, my S3 doesnt have efficiency. Comfort, Auto, Dynamic and Individual.

A black grill and accents would look better than chrome
You can get this if you order the black edition - no external chrome at all {only the four rings)it looks much better

Agreed this is not a black Edition model I have the same car and year but with the Blk Edition pack it makes all the difference all the chrome parts are gloss black.

Drove the 2016 model this past festive season, Efficiency is bad real bad indeed but dynamic is where it's at, really moves when in Dynamic and the S-tronic transmission is very good.
That looks like a great all round daily car. It seems to me that Audi have just about nailed it with that one. It's funny, with just about every car review you do, I wonder how it would be if Klasen Motors worked their magic on it, I can't help it. Max struggling with a key - funny.
I respect your videos and your knowledge a lot. I’m looking to retire and want to purchase a versatile car that gives me everything. I don’t mind purchasing used, but I want nearly new. My budget is 40k. I like the Cupra Ateca, Audi S3, BMW 340i and the BMW M40i . Am I in the right area, or is there something else I should consider ? . I appreciate that you are busy and there is no rush, but I value your input . Thank you

Im debating S3 or Golf R, Just cant decide.
I am usually a fan of upshift DSG cracks but with this engine it just sounds like a wet fart. Same as the GTI and R. The RS3 on the other hand... so good.
Please note that comfort and effiency are not for sporty driving obviously. They are great for every day driving

If u drive in efficiency u can just put your shift lever back and you are in "S" mode..... works well on the autobahn and just back to efficiency... easy

They actually don't copy the signal from the key, they extend it so the car think you're standing in front of it so you can open the door and drive away.

I have an S3 08, good old hatchback like it was suppose to be with manual, have it tuned to 340hp 470nm and put a milltec sage 3 on it. No unnecessary electrical stuff :P

Which is different cause the 2018 has 310bhp when the 2019 only has 300 cause of a new air filter etc.. so yeah

What about the gasoline particulate filter? In Germany, this is installed in the exhaust system and causes a loss of performance and less exhaust sound?

I’ve had this car in UK black edition spec for 9 months, great car but it would be much better if a manual gearbox option was still available as the s-tronic gets annoying.
Audi a3 2 litre here..s tronic is annoying af in day to day in low gears..

I'm sure that in the new Audi A3 that will arrive in 2019/2020 a start/stop button will be present. It is a little strange to have a overload of tech (and corresponding ridiculous price) combined with a conventional car key.
You can have a keyless system, it's an option in the Audi Configurator!
I think it also has to do with car insurance in the Netherlands because of theft with keyless go
@@juniorb.2508 Maybe, although a car is not solely designed for Holland ;) But Audi A3/RS3 are collector's item for thieves….to use it to for bank robberies.

I have keyless on my car, not Audi. Its np with the thief issue, just use a wallet with a special interior that masks the signal.

jeah of course, the s3 have a whole different engine.
S3 have 2 liters engine. Rs3 have 2.5 liters 5 cylinder engine
Now compare this to the new A35 AMG. The S3 isn't really a competitor when it comes to interior. Mercedes did a better job.

When it has a key the crooks use a Brick to break in... when it's key-less, only the "techy crooks" can get it the techy way... and the tech crooks will be less likely to throw a brick through you window.
Give me keyless over keyed any day...
in any case, if crooks were to get in, one would have insurance and would have made sure no valuables were in the car... am I right...?

Gives me about 550km per full tank of gas In efficiency in which every time you let off the gas it goes into this glide/neutral mode saving fuel
