I did the same things. We're using the same versions, but it doesn't switch to the new screen. (for the 9th minute and 40th seconds) 9:40 It says "Binary Interaction" section is missing. When I press it, a blue tick appears instead of a red one, yet the "new screen" does not appear. For this reason, the "nrtl-1 t-dependet" part does not open and I cannot proceed to the next sections. what would be the reason ?
Hi sir, may I ask, is it possible for me to follow your design here if I'm doing biodiesel production from waste cooking oil and using heterogeneous catalyst (in solid form)? The parameters that I need to vary is methanol to oil ratio (molar), catalyst amount and temperature. 🙏
Absolutely Nur Atiqah.. you do need to introduce a filter after the reactor to enable the recovery of the solid catalyst for reuse.. assuming ofcourse that the solid catalyst is not localised on the reactor walls
Hello , I was able to get the software . But there is no possibility to add methyl oleate . Can I add it as an hypothetical component ? Which properties are important to enter ?
Hi Ilana.. Methyl oleate is available in the ASPEN plus library.. you should type methyl oleate in the component name column..then click the enter key on your PC to open another interface. In the new interface, you can now click on the search tab ..methyl-oleate shows up..then u select and add selected compound.. u don't need to add any new properties
Hello Nur Atiqah, since waste cooking oil has oleic, linoleic, palmitic, stearic and linolenic acids contents, with mass % of 29.83%, 28.85%, 15.86%, 4.87% and 2.49%, respectively, you can model the cooking oil either as the oil of the most dominant fatty acid (i.e. triolein for oleic) OR model the oil as composed of the relevant oils for the different fatty acids with the associated mass fractions .. I hope you understand?
@@Biomass-biorefinery Thank you ! I've also found an article stated that the oil is considered as triolein (and could be other that you mentioned) for simplicity 🌟

Hello, where did you get the research from? Can you tell me the name of the research? Please 🙏
Great video. Please upload 2nd part soon.
Dear Sadiq ..many thanks for your positive comment.
You are welcome
Hello Dr, I have a problem of finding potassium methoxide in aspen. Do you by any chance can help with this?

Is it enough to estimate liquid density , molecular weight and boiling point

@@Biomass-biorefinery hello ! I have aspen hysys but there is no option to browse in the library like in the video .
Thank you !
There is actually just add replace and remove button
I only were able to get hysys data bank
May I know, how can I add waste cooking oil? Can't find it even after clicking the 'find now' button 🥺

@@nuratiqah6964 Hi Atiqah, is there in anyway I can contact you as I have a few questions regarding this simulation? 😊
