Logistics are a big part of it. I suffer from restlessness. I need to keep moving.

Sounds like the best decision was made, mate.
Including the water refill at the creek =)

You should really enjoy the Gila. I think most people take the middle fork of the Gila not the official trail. Amazing cliff dwellings: a walk along and through the river and HOT SPRINGS all hemmed into one of the most beautiful canyons I have ever seen. Actually, you are probably already through there by the time we are seeing this video. So, I hope felt you could justify the short side trip to at least one hot spring and the cliff dwellings. Love following your adventures!

I loved the cliff dwellings, hot springs, and Gila. It is such a breathtaking place. I feel so happy I got to experience it all.

Understand your dilemma. Being a little AD/HD, I can't stand to just sit still not making progress.

That's exactly what it is. Can't sit still for long.

Lookout, you are quite a logical thinker and that’s part of what makes you such an awesome and successful long distance hiker.

I hoped you find some other people to hang out with during the wait for morning. And you did. A 15 mile road walk in that climate seems like a problem the CDT needs to solve.

I believe the CDTC is working closely with the Bureau of Land Management to get hikers off all of the road, but as with everything governmental, it takes a long time.
