Zendaya is a true queen. She learned aerial tricks for this movie and performed them without any net underneath her. And she's so strong. They didn't use a net when she caught Zac, either.
They definitely shouldn’t have let her do the hoop part though, first of all at the beginning she rolled her wrists and getting into the mermaid to fruit bat it was incredibly chunky. Again with the fruit bar you should never, ever just estimate where your legs will hang over that is incredibly dangerous and her feet were sooo sickled 🤢🤮, although her rope work was okay, but she really should have done those moves on a silk at her level
Also how does Zendaya defy the laws of physics at 2:47. She swinging with only a little momentum but then suddenly just shoots off into the sky like a rocket

I'm a sucker for a cheesy love song. It's the choreography I'm really impressed with. I heard Zendaya did all her own stunts! Words cannot describe how incredible that is if it's true. Trapeze is so cool!
When I learned that the director wanted to use stunt devils as little as possible... I was shocked at stuff they had her do. I'm not sure how much or my watching this video over and over has to do with the liking the song or just being mesmerized by the choreography. Zendaya definitely had to make some serious changes to her resume after this!!!
Is there anything she can’t do? She acts, dance, sings, and we recently found out from Tom Holland that she’s good at drawing!! The talent just pours out of her from every single direction!!!
I think people forget though, that they go to drama schools, they are trained in the top places, to sing, dance and act, She is talented, otherwise she wouldn't have got to where she is and she is well known. Zendaya and Zacks voices combined are absolutely amazing, I loved this movie and they were my favorite characters. This movie has an important message and I’m proud to say it wasn’t predictable, like most movies in today’s time. Only bias people could dislike this movie. I love it when actors and actresses actually want to learn how to do the stunts they are supposed to do in a movie. Fun fact Margot Robbie does almost all of the stunts as Harley Quinn in all of the movies. She learned how to breath underwater for long periods of time. Zendaya learning how to do rope stunts is just as cool because it lets the actors really settle into their characters and it makes for a great performance
This is hands down the best song in the entire movie. No one can ever change my mind, no matter what. It has emotion, character development, and excitement. If anybody ever asked me to rank all the songs in this movie, I would kindly say that all the songs are tied for 2nd and that this song would be at #1 on my list. Whenever I feel down, sad, or lonely in my life at different phases, I put on this song, sing along to the lyrics, and just have a good time listening to. When Zendaya became a huge success after Shake it up, all I kept thinking was “why is she so popular? I don’t understand” but after I saw this film and listened to her songs, I can see why! It’s been 2 years yet REWRITE THE STARS is still my most favorite not because of the rhythm that it has. But because how every single lyric communicates to my heart. It’s my life’s soundtrack since then. This song taught me that no matter how difficult love is, no matter the drawbacks and even if you think that some things aren’t bound to happen if you just don’t let go of the things that you strongly believe in. I am not sure about this but I think some of zac efrons singing was done by someone else in HSM. There was a different guy singing on the tour sounded a lot like him. But he's still amazing and obv he can sing if he's in this ! X

when i first saw this in theatres i was really amazed by how poignant and beautiful the cinematography for this sequence was and how well it goes with the song. One of my favourites images from this movie is Zac holding onto Zendaya's hoop as the light shines down all around them.

The choero/timing in this bit is unreal! I love her "run to you" mild running motion in mid-air and how Zac spends most of the song desperate and baffled, LOL! BUT also, the symbolism with that noose-like rope that keeps hanging over their heads? The fact they keep playing with it, manipulating it, tossing it up/down/away and how as an interracial couple, they are "doomed"... Ugh, it's so good that it makes my heart clench. 'Rewrite the stars' and 'This is me' are my favourite songs In the film, it shows how everyone is unique and special and should be treated like any other person as well as the fact that you have a choice to do anything and not get held back!
Throughout the whole movie this had to be my favorite scene not just cause of stunts and choreography but the whole deep meaning behind this scene alone. This movie is great and should be a stand alone no sequels or remakes

Zendaya doesn't get enough recognition for these insanely difficult stunts, especially considering she did them without a net underneath.
She did have wires attached, but that doesn't make it any less difficult, just less dangerous. Still a queen.
And I think for the harder stunts they use body doubles but they barely used a body double

I love it when actors and actresses actually want to learn how to do the stunts they are supposed to do in a movie. Fun fact Margot Robbie does almost all of the stunts as Harley Quinn in all of the movies. She learned how to breath underwater for long periods of time. Zendaya learning how to do rope stunts is just as cool because it lets the actors really settle into their characters and it makes for a great performance

Throughout the whole movie this had to be my favorite scene not just cause of stunts and choreography but the whole deep meaning behind this scene alone. This movie is great and should be a stand alone no sequels or remakes
