    Thanks for that Wayne. Really hope John can make a go of it. He must have put a fortune into it. It is a major upgrade on any of the other co-working spaces that I've seen or been to in Chiang Mai. The next 6-9 months might be lean for him. However, when this COVID madness is over, I think there will be an avalanche of people moving to Chiang Mai.

    i think the rooms will be a tough sell at those prices , most digital nomads are working on a tight budget and 12k bht for a week is steep especially as alot of the rooms shown had no window . I wish John all the best though

    Could you breathe easily in the soundproof room? Did they have any computers you can use? I saw two but wondered if there were more. Internet cafes in Old City are scarce.

    • @WalkAboutWayne
      @WalkAboutWayne  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, i could breath but i was only in there a short time. I'm sure they have some sort of ventilation in the room. They have monitors only, so you would need to bring your laptop and can hook up to a bigger monitor.

    Wayne d you reckon the wearing masks outside mandate will stay long term? I hate wearing them and with the heat in Thailand that’s one thing I’m not looking forward to about coming to CM

    • @WalkAboutWayne
      @WalkAboutWayne  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the mask will be around in Thailand for a long time venus, infact i think Thailand will be one of the last places still wearing them. They love wearing masks here, even before Covid. I take mine off now when i feel comfortable because as you mentioned, the heat here makes it a struggle.
      I hate wearing it too mate.

    • @WalkAboutWayne
      @WalkAboutWayne  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Gary, you can get both new and second hand here mate, with many of the top brands. TREK is everywhere here. I picked up my bike second hand for 3500 Baht (£78). You will find a half decent second hand one around 4000 Baht. Anything new will be like back home really mate.
      Decathlon do good new budget bikes here, starting from 5000 Baht ($150 / £110)
      Chiang Mai is the safest place i've been but crime can still happen here and i always lock my bike around the city.
      Thanks.
