Don't use water. Put corn in a bucket, pour kool-aid powder on corn and pour salt on top of everything. Don't use any liquid at all. Just dump it all on the ground. The deer will love it. I would also put syrup in it sometimes.
Fwiw. I've used Kool-Aid. But prefer a jell-O or pudding mix. We used it over the minerals or salt. To jump-start the site.. If possible, apply it to the stump / ground dry.

Buy a gallon of molasses put it in a coffee cup heat up for 35 seconds,put it on a stump,within 3 hours they show up
