- A short documentary about my actor journey and the process of moving from Tennessee to Los Angeles to pursue my acting and filmmaking careers.
My friend John F. Thomas and I moved out with no family, no prospects, and no guarantees. This journey has been both amazing and very challenging. Coming to Los Angeles as a beginner actor and trying to find my footing in terms of acting classes, headshots, agencies, auditions, etc. took longer than expected but has taught me so much and facilitated so much growth for me in my artistic and personal life.
If you're an aspiring actor, what kind of questions might you like me to answer about my experience in the industry so far?
Thanks for watching and be sure to subscribe! It's greatly appreciated.!🙏🏾🙏🏾
What a great story. Very inspirational!
Thank you!!
So freaking proud of you!!!!!!
Can you mention the exact neighbourhood where it is good to stay for actors coming from out of town and stay connected with the industry
Affordable too

Well the good news is that now that self-taping has become very prevalent you don't have to be right next door to Hollywood like you used to since not every single audition will be in-person. But I'd still try to be near the major studios. I like areas like North Hollywood, Studio City, and Burbank. Also Encino and Tarzana. Affordability is subjective, and prices do keep rising, but there are affordable places in each of the places listed. Thanks for watching!
Under a bridge. Homeless people got all these tents out there for free
Hi, where should we live if we want to be close to the studios to work in the industry and still get the beach not to far like 20 MIN from the beach ?i am from the costume field.
The guy from sistas? Omg I love you on that show.
Bayo in the flesh lol. That's awesome to hear!😁 Thanks for watching 🙏🏾🙏🏾

And can you mention some good casting agencies as well as talent agencies
There are too many to mention lol and it's very case-by-case. If you're starting out, the "top agencies" won't be in your reach just yet anyway. I'd use the "Talent Link" feature on Actors Access to find agents and managers who are looking for new talent and then do a ton of research on the ones that reach out to you before you meet with them to see if they are legit and a good fit. That's how I found my first agent and my current manager which literally changed my life. I should do a video on this topic!
What high school did you attend? I'm a Memphian.
I went to high school in Clarksville. But went to U of M and lived in Memphis for a while after.

hey brow , i have this same ream , to become a celebrity into the hollywood . But my language inst english cuz i'm from Brazil ans im not able to make a college who teaches me how can i learn to act . Its possible to learn how to act with just the hole content for free on the internet ?
Yes. There's a lot of good content out there that could help you out. I also recommend becoming a super-observer: watch great actors' performances and try to break down what makes their performances work. Ultimately a lot of acting is internal so do things like journaling to really get in touch with your feelings and emotions. I also recommend these books: "No Acting Please" by Eric Morris and "The Power of the Actor" by Ivana Chubbuck.
Brother Is landing roles in Big Movies a complicated process?
Yes and no lol. The complicated part is "getting in the rooms". Getting the opportunity to show your talent to the decision-makers. To help with that I recommend building your portfolio by creating your own projects and then getting a well-connected manager or agent. It does take a lot of time and effort but mostly a lot of perseverance. There are other paths as well like tremendous self-marketing or becoming a viral sensation lol but what I mentioned above is the most tried and tested with how the industry works.
