Whoa, very cool rigging. I was trying to think why I haven't seen that. Here in MN all of our trees are similar to this white poplar, short and bushy. So our rigging lines are usually 150'. So if we put a prussic in the middle it would limit us to a 37.5 foot high rigging point. I'm guessing you have a 200 foot rigging line?
I dont get to work on a lot of broad spanding trees, so the more I get into them, the more my mind starts thinking creatively. I can see all kinds of rigging possibilities. 🤔
Tim - How did you get back over to the tree that had the Blue Rigging gear “harness” on it ? Did I miss it, or did you just go back to the ground and climb up it ? Thnx… Love your videos, and I’m strictly a home owner that takes the wood after “my” 😆 tree service guy has been here.
You guys made that look too simple and easy. How much did you charge for this tree? I'm asking because I recently a small tree that was a ton of work but without any rigging(I just cut it into small pieces with a pole saw) that needed some basic rigging and I felt like got lowballed by the client majorly(actually I underbidded myself after they complained about the pricing)
@@VeteranTreeService So you like using hinge cuts for most of the small and medium branches? I had an old tree worker vet come help me on a job and he used the hinge cut to take down a bunch of trees lol.
Veteran tree service makes me wonder if it’s because you served or because you have been in the industry for awhile. If you served what’s your mos, combat arms or service support.
Mid ties would have helped over the neighbours yard, poor boys pulling all them pieces up. If you’re concerned about them flying too far; still mid/tip tie with the friction cord and sling, put a half hitch on the butt for support and use the other sling and biner for a control line, I usually just take a wrap and control it myself to free up hands
Interesting rigging idea. It turns the system into a spider leg? The half hitch supports the butt and the prussic supports the tip ideally creating a balanced limb as it comes off.
@@VeteranTreeService that’s the idea !! I’m glad you understand what I was trying to explain. It’s so hard to articulate rigging systems without physically seeing it. Obviously another way is to just have a short rope to use as a control. Stay safe mate, love from Australia
Interesting seeing the rigging for the limbs that were over the neighbor's yard. Cool camera perspective too.
Nice video and good job guys. Like the sling with the pully . Take care and have a blessed and safe weekend
Wow! All the way down to the ground son! Awesome work man!
Yup. 👍
Enjoyed the video. Nice work on a fun tree.
You are the best tree guy the others don’t talk
I try to keep it entertaining. Thanks for watching.
Looks like you are having fun!
Getting away from the firs is nice.
Great job guys
Nice job brother

Ya, I don't use anything less than 200ft here. My main rigging line is 300ft.

Poplar trees are my bread and butter 😊
Great job!
Never leave a sharp nub. A lesson learned.
Proceeds to break off more nubs.🤨😂
Good wood for making clogs! (Yes I'm from Holland 😁)

This tree was $2500.

Sangat tinggi This tree is taller than the one I cut earlier.
